Photo 02-01-2014 11 40 06With less than nine days to go and counting until the next deadline we all have plenty of thinking and tinkering time left… The January Wildcard is now available should you feel inclined to use it. Will you activate it immediately, possibly with a view to maximising your team value or will you wait until the transfer window has shut and judge what impact that has had, if any? Whichever you decide is the best strategy for you ahead of the next game-week we welcome your questions and also your advice to others. Please feel free as ever to post your thoughts, questions and feelings about whatever you want to but in particular if you would like others to take a look at your team ahead of GW21 and offer their thoughts and suggestions please post it below or link it and we are sure you will get plenty of feedback. Some of which may be constructive but we can’t promise anything!

    3-5-2 thoughts?
    Speroni – Marshall
    Mertesacker – Dawson – Coleman – Santon – Clyne
    Hazard – Walcott – Cabaye – Silva – Lallana
    Suarez – Welbeck – Chamakh

Can also do Oscar instead of Hazard, and then Gerrard instead of Lallana.
I understand concerns over Suarez and Welbeck being up top, but understand that’s not the area of the team the points will come from.

G’day Flingy. My personal view is that Hazard is a must. Gerrard is part of my 3-5-2 plans, so thumbs up from me. Berahino has emerged as the third striker for me. In better form than Chamakh, is an all-round better player than Chamakh, and is 0.3m cheaper from memory. This might free up some funds to bolster the midfield even further.

Seems pretty good Flingy. Not too sure about Santon though due to recent suspensions/injuries at the back in the team.
Clyne also kind of shaky right now.

But the overall team seems interesting.

Flingy – what is your plan for Welbeck when rvp returns?
Prob could save yourself some by having Chester or a Ward and the back.
Not sure a whole load of striking options exist at the moment either

blue_moon – nice tip on Berahino, I hadn’t even thought about him. I generally just want a player who appears every match.
The B – Debuchy was my first choice (already have him, actually) but the red card and suspension has put that off a bit. Santon was the only other option, been performing OK of late.
Cookie – simply the options for strikers is stale. If Aguero were back again I’d probably not be doing the 3-5-2, but he isn’t so I feel it’s worth a gamble.
Dreamers – van Persie is off soon mate! Doesn’t like Moyes, said he joined for Fergie, doesn’t like the way the team plays. Even if he doesn’t go, I don’t think Welbeck will be put out with the goals he’s scoring.

flingy – That looks pretty good,i have my doubts about Welbeck though,i don’t think he’s going to get enough points,Suarez/Aguero is the perfect two for it i think, having those two then makes it tough to keep a steady defence together with a nice midfield,i’ve found it difficult to get the right balance with this formation so have decided to scrap the idea.

    Howard
    Chester Distin Sagna

WC active. £0.5m in the bank.
    Thanks.

Morning all. Could you have a look at my team?

    GK: Guzan (Myhill)
def: Terry, Coleman, Gabbidon (Chico, Davies)
Mid: Yaya, Walcott, hazard, Januzaj (cabaye)
    For: Suarez, Lukaku, negredo

    1ft, £1.1m in bank

I am planning on holding onto my wc until later in the month. My thoughts are to use my FT this week on my GK, perhaps upgrading Guzan to either Szczesny or Howard to tide me over until I change Myhill with my WC.

    Any thoughts?

    How does this look:

    Marshall-Ruddy
    Coleman-Koscielny-Bardsley-Ward-Chester
    Walcott-Sillva-Oscar-Gerrard-Eriksen
Aguero (alt until, his return) Suarez-J Rod

Possibly be able to afford Hazard still until. Aguero returns

    Thanks

All non-WC players, we need many luck in coming GW in Cup.

Lets hope we all are drawn with opponents who do not play WC early, to have a fair game. laugh

On the other hand, WC players this GW should have a comparative advantage in cup.

Let the luck be with us all. smile
