The DGW fixtures have been announced! Some of them…
Welcome to The DGW fixtures have been announced! Some of them….Having kept us in suspense for four days longer than we thought, the Premier League have at last started to release the dates of the rearranged fixtures. We now have a clear picture of DGW34, while the specific dates for the remaining fixtures still have to be officially revealed, although most indicators point to these matches being accommodated into GW37.
So, these are the rearranged matches that are now part of DGW34:
Brighton vs Spurs
Bournemouth vs Man Utd
Burnley vs Chelsea
Leicester vs Southampton
Therefore the following teams have two matches in DGW34:
Bournemouth (liverpool, MAN UTD)
Brighton (crystal palace, SPURS)
Burnley (LEICESTER, CHELSEA)
Chelsea (southampton, burnley)
Leicester (burnley, SOUTHAMPTON)
Man Utd (WBA, bournemouth)
Southampton (Chelsea, leicester)
Spurs (MAN CITY, brighton)
What else is there to know about DGW34?
The weekend after DGW34 finishes sees the semi-finals of the FA Cup which sees Chelsea vs Southampton and Spurs vs Man Utd. Given that all four clubs have a DGW34, it is possible that we see some rotation for their second match of DGW34, just days before their semi-final.
Liverpool have an attractive looking match in DGW34 as they host Bournemouth at Anfield. However, it may be worth noting that Liverpool go to Man City in the Champions League quarter-final 2nd leg just days before GW34.
What matches are left to be rescheduled?
Chelsea vs Huddersfield
Leicester vs Arsenal
Man City vs Brighton
Swansea vs Southampton
Spurs vs Newcastle
West Ham vs Man Utd
The Premier League has said that these matches will be rescheduled by Tuesday 3 April, i.e. just before GW33. The obvious week for all these matches to be rescheduled is GW37 as there is no European football scheduled for that week. It is possible, though unlikely, that some matches are rescheduled into GW35 or GW36. None of the matches will be added to DGW34. DGW37 really is the obvious week for all six matches and assuming this is confirmed, this will be the schedule for the DGW teams:
Arsenal (BURNLEY, leicester)
Brighton (MAN UTD, man city)
Chelsea (LIVERPOOL, HUDDERSFIELD)
Huddersfield (man city, chelsea)
Leicester (WEST HAM, ARSENAL)
Man City (HUDDERSFIELD, BRIGHTON)
Man Utd (brighton, west ham)
Newcastle (watford, spurs)
Southampton (everton, swansea)
Swansea (bournemouth, SOUTHAMPTON)
Spurs (west brom, NEWCASTLE)
West Ham (leicester, MAN UTD)
First glance observations (assuming the above is confirmed for DGW37)
DGW37 is bigger than DGW34 with 12 teams playing twice in DGW37 compared to 8 in DGW34. Does this offer a better opportunity for Bench Boost? On the face of it the answer is ‘possibly’, although by the time DGW37 arrives much may already be decided in terms of Man City winning the league, top four and relegation which could see teams rotate more than normal.
Chelsea, Leicester and Man City all enjoy two home games.
Huddersfield, Man Utd, Newcastle, Southampton all face two away matches.
Spurs face West Brom and Newcastle with Harry Kane likely back from injury. Remember how he finished last season? A possible Triple Captain candidate?
Either Spurs or Man United and very likely Chelsea (assume they beat Southampton) will be preparing for the FA Cup Final which falls a week after the end of the season. More threat of rotation….unless of course their top four spot is not secure!
Man City could be preparing for a Champions League final, Arsenal could be preapring for a Europa Cup final.
There are clearly lots of ‘ifs, whats and maybes’ – time will only tell. For those still to play their wildcard, maybe it pays to wait for as long as possible and act on the best possible information.
Whatever your position, thoughts and plans, please be sure to share your ideas on the chat below. This is the crucial part of the season – mini-leagues will be won and lost on how we play our remaining chips and tackle the DGWs. Every idea is worthwhile, everyone has their view – there is not necessarily a right and a wrong way.

Hi, I’ve got 2FT and 6.9m itb, any thoughts on if I should be WC or not?
Thanks for your help
I really don’t think you need to. I’d do Mounie to Auba.
If yo’re WCing next week,I’d use both FTs up, the other on another one week punt!
AT speaketh sense
Makes a change! 😆
Tweet it!!!
Yeah, those 34 people need to know they’re dealing with a real pro
@Init and Cookie
Just seen this. Screw you guys
WC active, no FH and no TC left is a hard place to be!
Yeah I can imagine Frenchie. How does your team look at the moment?
It’s looking like this at the moment.
Idea would be to Bench Boost in GW34 with this team, and therefore move Auba to either Kane or Lukaku in GW34 depending on Kane’s status. And downgrade Son to a cheaper midfield (GroB?) in the process.
3 Burnley is a lot but I may need them in GW35. I would only have them + Salah as it stands, and it will be hard to figure out how to bring some other players.
I’m also not sure on some players game time, like Smalling or even Willian. I was tempted to do Vertonghen+Smalling=>Duffy+Valencia, but then that’s a lot of Brighton guys I guess.
Tricky, tricky!
Hey guys thinking of going with either two Che def or DDG & a def thoughts please ???
You on a wildcard Silvers?
Yes Cookie got carried away but there you go feel DDG will play every game was thinking Smalling but Bailey back or Alonso & Christensen what do you thk ???
Silvers,
DDG is obviously safe because Romero plays Cup games. So he won’t be rotated. Re Smalling, its a tricky one as Jones and Rojo are nearly fit by all accounts so they could all easily share game time especially in the easier matches around the Cup
Semi.
Conte is a big rotator around big Cup games and if they fall further behind the top 4 he may seriously prioritise the Cup in order to maximise the chance of winning some silverware.
Sorry not really helping mate. Its a tricky one for me as i’m not wildcarding for a few weeks.
Maybe the many who are wildcarding now may be a better help.
Thanks all the same Cookie is a dilemma 😉
Rojo on the bench for Argie tonight Silvers fyi.
I jotted down some initial musings earlier…..
Quite blurry on the mobile Init.
Is there a one sentence conclusion?!
Anyone know any good copyright lawyers? 😉
We’ve had a few over the years, 4 spring to mind. And all 4 have proved to be unreliable quitters! True story.
Looks like I’m representing myself then
Have you decided which route to go yet then? As in the WC / Chips etc.
Think I’m leaning towards FH 34, WC 36, BB 37. Kane TC for 37 is enticing but think I’d rather use BB then anyway. Issue though is when to play it!
Interesting. That’s certainly one of my options too. TC aside, that’s gone unfortunately, or maybe fortunately!
I’m looking at running 3 scenarios and seeing which is best. That’s one, WC now is another with two stems off that which are BB 34 and BB 37. And there’s probably a 4th too, thinking about it now, but I can’t remember what it is
WC active. Only have BB remaining. What should I do?
DDG Hennessey
Christensen, Smalling, Otamendi, Lowton, Mariapa
Salah, Son, Mahrez, Willian, Gudmunsson
Lukaku, Vardy, Barnes
Chris,
You have to carefully set up for DGW34 & BGW35 with an eye on DGW37 also. Not easy!
Yeah I am in a pickle. Might have about 6/7 players for BGW35. Have to be smart about my transfers from now. Thinking about using BB in GW34. Regretting using my FH chip but you live and you learn lol
Chris, you may need to play your BB in 37 as I think playing it in 34 will result in you struggling for the blanks in 35.
Yeah but there maybe a lot rotation in GW37
Can we all go back to simpler times with no chips please? Been tinkering all week lads, came up with the first draft. WC active, got all chips left. So the current plan is:
BB – GW34
FH – GW35
TC – GW37
Murray seems to be in form and is scoring at home, so I’m kinda backing him up (Please tell me if I’ve gone nuts) Auba to Lukaku should be a straight transfer for GW34, expecting Lukaku price to become 11.5 by then. But I’m planning to save the FT in GW33, in any case. Whenever Kane is fit, downgrade possibly downgrade Alonso to fit him in? Thoughts please!
Murray could turn out to be a decent shout – the only other candidates I can think of with a DGW34 in that price range are Barnes or Wilson, neither of whom are overly tempting. Murray is probably as good as it gets without a downgrade elsewhere
I agree, he’d be my budget pick if I was doing that. The fixtures for the other two in 34 are awful.
Cheers for the reassurance guys. Keen on keeping him but that might well change if I decide to play around with my chip strategies.
Hi Keethan, there’s nothing intrinsically wrong there. I’d prefer Stan to Ibe but that’s all really and it’s probably just a price issue.
I’m still not convinced on BB for the 34 one though. Im not saying don’t but have you had a look whether you could feasibly still arrive at 37 with 14 + Salah? It’d just mean switching the TC to 34 and that’d probably mean Lukaku, which isn’t the worst thing ever looking at those 2 games. It’s just a thought anyway. I know people are looking at potential rotation risks in 37 but there’s just a much wider spread of teams to go at and some better pairs of fixtures, this one seems a bit limited in that respect.
Hi Init! Thanks for your input. I was on the BB GW37 boat as well, but yes the rotation influenced me. And the fact that I might have to settle for a very weak bench (not that my GW 34 will be a lot stronger) just to afford some big names during GW 37.
I am of course flexible at this point. There’s lot more tinkering I would expect (ugh it’s fun and not fun at the same time haha)
It’s character building
