Fantasy Football 2014/15 Transfers

Transfer Deadline Day

It’s transfer deadline-day and one of the most exciting days of the year in the football calendar and possibly one of the most important in terms of fantasy football, as come the end of play today many PL teams will have a different outlook depending on their business on this one day. With FPL taking a mini-break due to international fixtures this is the perfect time for many to reflect on today’s happenings and decide whether any new signings are worth a punt or will impact positively on the players they already have. We kick this article off early doors and look forward to seeing it through until the deadline tonight with all of your rumours, hopes and probably lies (!) along the way. Keep us up to date on anything you hear and most importantly how you think it will affect your fantasy football team…

    The Mighty Whites says:

    De Gea – Gilks

    Terry – Taylor – Ferdinand – Chester – Dummett

    Mata – Ramsey – Fabregas – Sigurdsson – Barton

    Rooney – Costa – Pelle

    0.0 in bank. 1 FT.

Thinking about doing Mata to Sterling. Would it be worth a -4 hit on doing Dummett to Duff because my defence has Ferdinand (MAN U) and Taylor (CHE) and Dummett probably wont play.

    Word up…

I wildcarded this morning then instantly read a post that it was already too late to WC as I’d missed the Saturday & Sunday price rises..

If this is the case (is it??) does anyone have any comforting words for me ? haha. I feel a bit like a noob at the minute not really knowing what to do with my WC, yet here I am.

    …on it.. a bit lost.

Bit of a slip at the weekend- desperate to use one of my 2 FTs and shipped Bego out for Forster…only for Bego to then record his first CS! Teach me to do the kneejerk last minute transfer. Still in the top 10k though, and very pleased with that. Have traded out Mata for Sterling just now because with Falcao (?!?!) arriving too, plus Di Maria I can see Juan’s game time limited. Also, Sterling sounds like he’s in superb form and their fixtures are easing up. Current team is below, with 1 FT and 0.2m in the bank. Defence needs a bit of work, probably Chambers should be next to go, but for now I’m happy enough to sit tight and see what the break brings. Any thoughts? Intended to WC but after my strong start I may not need to…? Or I could just join the bandwagon if my tinkering seems to merit a WC.

    Forster, Hamer
    Terry, Chambers, Coloccini, O’Shea, Taylor
    Sterling, Fabregas, Ramsey, Lamela, Sigurdsson,
    Costa, Rooney, Zamora

      Shep..

You won’t be able to play all those mids & strikers together.
Save money by loosing either Eriksen or Naismith for cheapo bench fodder….depending what formation you go for….personally I’d go 3-4-3 minus Eriksen (lots of options 5-6m bracket)
      Then upgrade that defence..
You can’t get away with having 3 def @4m..

      Keep on tinkering.

Anyone fancy Falcao…not sure how much he’ll cost, but he top quality..!

Btw is their anywhere I can see reliable potential price rises, the one I’m using at the mo’ ( totalFPL ) is useless..!
