UEFA Champions League Fantasy Football 2019/20 GW5
Last chance saloon
Hello everyone and welcome to UEFA Champions League Fantasy Football 2019/20 GW5. ‘Last chance’ may be being over dramatic but with three teams already qualified, three who definitely can’t and a whole host of the remaining spots likely to be decided this week then this may be your last chance of seeing your ‘nailed on’ first team players in meaningful CL group stage action before rotation inevitably hits in GW6.
The main purposes of this article are threefold; to remind you to do your team, to provide a separate CL space to ask for help and advice from the community (and to hopefully reciprocate in that aim) and lastly just somewhere to chat about the games as they happen; a CL Live Match Chat if you like.
Who has qualified and who can’t…
Qualified
Bayern Munich
Juventus
Paris Saint-Germain
None of the above have yet secured top spot so expect to see minimal changes.
Eliminated
Galatasaray
Genk
Lille
It’s worth noting that even though the above cannot progress in the CL all do still have a slim chance of making 3rd spot and with a Europa League consolation place.
By powers of deduction we can then ascertain that the other 26 teams all still very much have something to play for.
Housekeeping GW5
The main points to consider this week are as follows;
-
- Transfers
You get two free transfers each week and this one is no different. You can choose to carry one over should you wish, but you will never get more than three in any GW, which means that you should have somewhere between 2 & 3 transfers for this week.
- Transfers
-
- Deadlines / Manual Subs / Captain Switches
There are two, essentially. The first and main one is at kick off on Tuesday which is 5.55pm UK time. You will get to see the line-ups of 4 teams prior to it (Galatasaray, Brugge, Lokomotiv and Leverkusen).
- Deadlines / Manual Subs / Captain Switches
The second is on Wednesday at the same time. This is the one before which you can change your team around, bring in your subs manually and also change your captain to a Wednesday player, if you so wish.
When setting your team up just make sure that all of your ‘Tuesday’ players are on the pitch to begin with, you can then bring your ‘Wednesday’ guys in prior to 5.55pm on that day. Likewise with your captain.
The Game Itself and the FF247 League Codes
You can access the game here – Fantasy Champions League
We have two leagues running;
Our official FF247 league code is 32NQYUI4KW
This one is the usual open air league that all and sundry are welcome to join; there are about 800 people in it. We have no idea who most of them are!
Our other one, the ‘Regulars League’ is now only open to new entrants via email
Please email us on contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk if you want the code.
We did ask that people respected the purpose and integrity of this one; that is to say that you should only enter it if you consider yourself to be a Regular Community member on here. But this was unfortunately not adhered to. The phrase ‘this is why we can’t have nice things’ springs to mind. As a result we have booted about 50 people out of it who we do not recognise. If you find yourself suspended and feel you shouldn’t be then please just say so in the comments below and we shall happily reinstate you.

Leverkusen have 4 goals in CL. 3 are own goals :laugh2:
Right, my GK for tonight is Gazza. Olympiacos have scored only 3 goals in the last 4 games and they came against Crvena Zvezda at home. It will be classic if Spurs don’t keep a CS :laugh2:
Awkward….
Remind me never to think of a Spurs defender for the FPL, regardless the fixtures :nono:
Aurier with another assist
Who said footballers weren’t stupid again?!
Two players sent off while celebrating a goal? That’s got to be a record!
Unbelievable, and all that in extra added time
Was an important goal for them. A loss means out of Europe. A draw means euro league. And since Turkey is a direct opponent in the coefficients, this is good for Belgium and the team. But yeah, stupidity.
Reminds me of the two false red cards given to the Ajax players in the last game. That wasn’t their fault though.
Let it go!
Never. Hehe. Corrupt shit. :dash:
Might influence the complete outcome of our Europe tour.
And it was the second game in a row they got it complete wrong and Chelsea got the advantage. It is hella annoying. Hehe.
Also I pointed it out because in both games you get two red cards in the same minute. :punish:
But I will forget soon. When we’re out of Europe. :big-lol:
Lewa and Pavards points on showing on Uefa website. Anyone else having this issue?
I trained myself not to look at their website until the games are over. They can never get it right.
Yeah. Just ignore. I’d say ignore the fantasy champions league completely. :big-lol:
Got Lewa as Capo and saw he had no points.Looked for a yellow card but nothing. The website is real clunkey.
It was showing a second goal scored by him and a minute later corrected back to 0-1.
Spurs 2-0 down. Is it the Mourinho effect?
Can’t wait to see the special one reaction after the game :mosking:
They will win still, probably… Or the Son move might not be so wise after all.
Possibly, usually most of the action in UCL games are towards the end of the second half. Anything could happen.
