There’s not long left to get your initial squad together for Euro 2020 with fixtures beginning on Friday 11th June when Turkey face Italy in Rome. Where you may know the vast majority of Premier League players, you’ll do well to be up to date with players featuring in Euro 2020 teams such as North Macedonia and Finland. Therefore, we’ve put together a short list of what we believe to be good value players for your Euro 2020 fantasy football squads.
Before we begin, if you are submitting multiple fantasy teams for this years tournament, be sure to take a look at the various free bets for fantasy football that you can claim with some of the top bookies.
Dominik Livaković – Goalkeeper – Croatia
The Dinamo Zagreb keeper should feature prominently for Croatia and is a good choice of shot stopper when on a budget. He’ll do well to keep the ball out of the net against England but could possibly keep clean sheets against the likes of Scotland and the Czech Republic in Group D.
Burak Yılmaz – Forward – Turkey
35 year old Lille striker Burak Yılmaz certainly has experience on his side and has netted a total of 68 goals domestically in the last two seasons for Beşiktaş (40) and Lille (28). Turkey could do very well in this tournament and have not been shy of scoring goals which makes Yılmaz a slightly more attractive, and cheaper selection than some of the bigger name options in the tournament.
Georginio Wijnaldum – Midfielder – Netherlands
Wijnaldum won’t be as cheap as some of the other players listed but he could still turn out to be a bargain, especially during the group stage. The Netherlands have possibly the easiest group with fixtures against the likes of North Macedonia, Ukraine and Austria. Wijnaldum scored an impressive eight goals during qualifying and if he carries that form into the tournament, he is definitely undervalued currently.
Oleksandr Zinchenko – Defender – Ukraine
The Manchester City defender could be a good budget selection for your back line due to the fact that he often gets deployed into the midfield when playing for his nation. As he’s listed as a defender in fantasy football terms, you can pick him up for a reduced price. 6 goals in 39 appearances for Ukraine is impressive for and if he bags a couple in Euro 2020, you’ll get additional points due to him being tagged as a defender.
Roman Yaremchuk – Forward – Ukraine
Fellow teammate of Zinchenko, Roman Yaremchuk, could be another good buy. The striker heads into the tournament in good form having bagged 21 goals for Gent this season and found the net four times for his country during qualification. He should have his chances against Austria and North Macedonia and if he takes them, you should get good value for money.
