images-2Hello! Firstly, we’d like to afford you a very warm welcome to Fantasy Football 247, the website that has been designed and created to offer all FPL managers a wide range of help, advice and up-to-date news whilst maintaining a friendly, welcoming and fun community feel.

Please take your time to tour the site and see what is on offer, but allow us to briefly talk you through what we will bring you.

There will be a wide range of core articles published in order to help managers prepare for the upcoming gameweek(s). Namely – Fixtures, Captain’s Stats, Tips, Weekend Team News, Live Game Chat & Saturday and Sunday Matchday Reviews.

We also plan to publish ad hoc articles, such as Interviews with a variety of managers, Player Profiles etc. The infamous and ever-popular Banterbury Leagues will be run by Bench and there will also be twice weekly Prediction Competitions hosted by Potty.

There is of course, an interactive chat room available, which we would encourage you all to post comments on in order to seek advice and help and to reciprocate this to other managers’ and discuss thoughts on your line-up, transfer plans and other issues that affect your FPL team.

To get involved in the chat, you will need to register with Fantasy Football 247 – details of how to do this can be found on the “Register” tab at the top of the page – its very simple. We would also encourage you to set up a “gravatar”, which will then link to your name every time you comment on the site and will make you instantly recognisable at a moment’s glance – this proves especially useful when you are seeking advice and other managers can spot you easily and reply to your posts.

If you are on social media, please follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook – both of which will provide instant information, news, ideas and chat.

        • Not yet mate but I’ll give it a shot. I live in brissie and it could be a draw with the wild weather we’ve had this week. Cricket ball sized hail fell 100km north yesterday, and also a few days ago in T’ba

        • Love the army Eddie but as a local we’ll be reliving stories about ’01 and the good ole days. Been a while since you lot beat us at the Gabba. First day of the Ashes is a great day to get on the turps… Just hope the weather holds out

        • Kop I think watson will play leaving Faulkner on the pine. He’ll only bat from all reports locally

        • Cheers Farqs, I was hoping Faulkner would play as he’d fit nicely into my team. I was reading on cricinfo earlier that Watson has done some bowling in the nets and might be ready for the Gabba.

      • So what do we reckon, do the Aussies need to win the first test to stand any chance in the series?

        • England’s build up has not been perfect…

        • Not perfect James but that has been more to do with the weather than anything else. The only concern I’d have is the 3rd pace bowler, it looks like they’ll go with Tremlett and while he did well down under last time around he hasn’t done much since!

        • I reckon so James, particularly as England are usually at their most vulnerable at the beginning of the series.

        • James, any result for us at the Gabba is a bonus, but i dont think they have the depth to win the urn back. They named their 12 man squad very early but then they didnt have a lot to chose from. Bailey got his place ahead of Alex Doolan…………….. I know very little of doolan……..
