World Cup 1st Group Phase Live Match Chat
Welcome to World Cup 1st Group Phase Live Match Chat. The long four year wait is over and so is the tinkering for the first set of matches. We hope that you are happy with the 15 players you ended up with, but even if you decided against playing the fantasy version we still encourage you to partake in the chat below. We are sure there will be plenty to discuss that doesn’t always involve whether you should get assist points for a shot that was blocked or your striker really did touch the ball a la Kane before it went in. Predictor games, brackets, bets on the golden boot are all welcomed here. And yeah, even old school footy chat for those that who are just watching the games for fun and just want to talk about the Joga Bonito.
So that you have them to hand, we will post a screenshot of the substitution rules, transfer allotment, wildcard, boosters and of course we will have times and dates for all matches in this, the first of three group phases/rounds/fixtures or whatever you want to call it.

Good luck to most of you, but not all of you for this 1st phase of fantasy World Cup!
I was just about to say this Lozano fella is looking good and very dangerous then he goes and scores
What else you say? About grass and all that…
:hippo:
I said that Guy wouldn’t be working later on and will take a well earned rest 😉
Sorry I haven’t been on much last couple of days, I travelled to Colombia and have been on vacation. Still on vacation but thought I share this.
Yeah De Arrascaeta was pretty poor the other day so this doesn’t surprise me. Just need to decide if I should transfer him or or rely on my bench.
That’s two cl gone you can always count on Germany well maybe not 😉
Sorry ment CS gone
Mexico are looking decent, but gutted about losing my Kimich CS given that he costs so much, hoping for an attacking return now!!
Nearly!
Textbook template of how to beat Germany this playing on their vulnerabilities at CB to a fast counter attack. Which funnily enough suits England perfectly. These look beatable as do France and Argentina. Just need Neymar to get injured later and then other than Spain I can’t see how we aren’t now favourites. And we haven’t kicked a ball yet
So you’re one of these ‘football’s coming home’ ejits? 😉 haha
Until I see England play I still don’t think they get any further than QFs.
So you’re one of those ‘can’t spot irony’ ejits? 😉
Hahaha
Told you Matt. It’s on 😉
‘How good must Germany be to leave out Sane’ … erm..:
😉
I believe its a mistake….German team is looking too slow…Sane could have brought the speed down the left wing…Muller has been less effective for quite a long now (even for BM)….Ozil does not run….Werner is standing without supply.
Not seen the goal yet but they said on the radio that Ozil’s ‘attempt’ to defend it was pathetic. Which just about sums him and his general attitude up. Very un-Germanlike in fact. Which again is ironic…
Thats a funny comment. I am an ARS fan (disclaimer )…and like to ask that “When did Ozil learnt to defend?”
Anyway, problem is Kimmich going up leaving a big void in right flank…..Boateng and Hummels have become much slower in 4 years, so is Khedira as CDM and none of them are good enough to catch a good speedy left winger. I think Korea (Son) will give Germany def. good test….and Frosberg to leverage the Kimmich void in next match.
