World Cup 2014 Fantasy Football!
As we sadly near the end of our beloved FPL season we thought it would be time to tell you that all hope is not lost and that you will not have to spend a long and lonely summer with friends and family at the beach ‘enjoying’ yourself whilst secrectly counting down the days to start of the next FPL season! Alas, the World Cup is upon us and will hopefully feed your fantasy addiction! We will be open for business as usual over the Summer with fantasy interest aplenty as we will be partaking in the usual FIFA World Cup game with an FF247 league and articles to boot. Hopefully you are as excited as we are at the prospect of seeing England lose on penalties again, watching Messi try to fulfill his one missing accolade and seeing the latest gem emerge from the tournament only to come to the EPL next season and realise that Big Sam doesn’t quite know how to utilise a silky ball playing South American. Hoof it please love…
Fancy writing for us? Good, because we need your help!
We intend to do a series of mini-articles throughout the various stages of the tournament to help you along the way but we will be kicking it all off with an overall guide to the groups and the teams involved to help you make those initial selections a little easier. That’s where you guys come in as we would like a little help… Basically we would like to do a run-down on each group, the teams involved and assess their players from a fantasy perspective and as such invite you our members to write it for us! We don’t expect many will have specific knowledge of Iran, Honduras or Ecuadorian line-ups but that’s where the fun is! If you fancy getting your name in lights and having a crack at advising your fellow managers as to who is the forward to pick from South Korea or why we shouldn’t rely on England to produce then we would love to hear from you. Simply contact us here and we will get the ball rolling and hopefully we will be able to have a full guide to the World Cup written by our members. Some of the groups have already been taken by the current writers but we have room for 3 or 4 guest writers. As such we may have to operate on a first come, first served basis and we cannot guarantee involvement but the more applicants the merrier and we will try to accomodate as many new writers as we can.
Ramsey brace tonight then anyone? I need it!
I would love that since i have Ramsey.
But my rival in BB qualification league has captained him and is 40 points behind me!
Oooh, we’ll settle for a goal and assist then 😉 haha, good luck!
It’s between me and this other guy for the final £10 MotM award:
Basically it’s 2 + Ramsey (c) v Koscielny…
Not a Big Liverpool Fan but Can’t wait to see Liverpool & Suarez in the Champion League Next Season !!!
Their defence would be destroyed!
We’ll have a new centre half.
…to go with Agger or Skrtel?
That I don’t know, but I reckon one of Agger or Skrtel will be sold.
Kop: Agger just got VC, and Skrtel has been a beast. Doubt one will be sold, but I heard rumours of PSG wanting Agger…?
Milky, don’t forget that Rodgers will need to raise cash!
Kop: I think the success of this season will provide Henry will more reason to back Rodgers, as will the capital raised from European nights that we have lacked recently. Also, Rodgers has proved a lot more shrewd in the transfer market than others. Coutinho wasn’t expensive, neither was Sturridge for what he has produced. The use of Flannagan? He’s proven his metal.
If I can get group A or F, Im in… 😉
:satansmoking:
Cheers HL,
Can you drop us an email to contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk just so as we have your contact details.
Will do Kop…
U ll have it by tonight…
Cheers
Nice one HL
Which Man Utd Defender is most likely to play ..?
Evans
Ferdinand
Smalling
Ferdinand.
Giggs is relying on the experience of the players at this stage, and i think Ferdinand will get starts from now on. But not sure if he will play both of the DGW games.
Giggs has no responsibility to build on the new players. All he needs to do is win last 3 games and regain respect of the Club, which he will do with more experienced players who know how to win and close the deal.
Cheers B
Have we decided on what site we’ll be using for the WC yet, getting a heads up on rules and such may be helpful for any writers. Cheers.
Fantasy wise I need Ramsey to outscore Kos tonight to win my money league’s MOM, and I’m looking at 8 DGW players with a -4 hit.
Andy – We’ll be playing the official game. It was sponsored by McDonalds last time around but it hasn’t been launched yet.
Looks likely to be a stick or twist scenario like Ultimate if it’s anything like the 2012 Euro’s format then. I’m happy enough with my Brazil in the old fashioned sweep stakes
Andy – same as me mate – my Ramsey vs his Kosc!
Ramsey looks the boss again James so I’m well confident of him outscoring Kos by 2 this evening, glad Remy’s back in the fold for Newcastle as well just in case.
Yeah fairly confident myself, ah good, I’d take another 7-3!
