World Cup 2014 Fixtures ScheduleFollowing on from our World Cup group by group analysis we are delighted to present to you our fixture tracker for the group stages. Many thanks to Andy who kindly volunteered to provide us with this along with his take on how it will all pan out in the usual colour coded fashion, complete with a current form guide which will give you an idea of how each team is shaping up in preparation for the big day. Hopefully this will be of some help to you all as you plan your fantasy teams and their progression through the group stages. We shall endeavour to update this as the competition progresses to the knock out stages to keep you as well informed as possible.

 Form Guide Key

W – Wins
D – Draws
L – Losses
F- Goals For
A- Goals Against
CS- Clean sheets attained in last 10 games

Rather than taking results from the last 6 games as per the norm I’ve stretched it out to include the last 10 games to try and include as much competitive football as possible as persistent freindly games are sometimes not the best stats to gather information from, I think only the Koreans have not had a competitive game in their last 10 games. The quality of opposition also varies greatly across the board.

NB All stats are up to date to the 23/05/14, all teams still have either 2 or 3 friendlies left to play until the competition kicks off.

Color Code Key

Purple – Not only do I think this team has a high chance of winning the game I also believe it may be possible for them to win by a fairly big margin.

Green – All green team games should be considered as favorites for this tie.

Yellow – All yellow team games should be considered, as it could possibly go either way.

Red – All red team games could see that team struggling in that corresponding fixture.

        Yep, i was cheering for Froch last time. Neither has covered themselves in glory since then so struggling to pick a side this time.
        Either way i don’t want it to be a single ‘lucky’ punch out of no where. I want a clear, consistant, disection of one of them. We don’t want another rematch.
        If Froch comes through the first 4 then i can see him winning. Although groves has done loads of fitness work. Can’t decide!

        • JimBob it’s not a dating site so they don’t have to be located close to you! 😉 I imagine (hope) most of the doubles team stuff is sorted via text, e-mail or WhatsApp. Mito must rack up some air miles otherwise!

        • Chins true to character you will be burning down opponents’ houses if we lose! So Elle am I right in thinking you’ll have a doubles and singles league going for the WC too?

        • Hi Calvin, yes I think we will trial a doubles league in the WC too so that people can establish partnerships and figure out how to do it between them ahead of the FPL one next season.

        • We fly out on Thursday mate.
          I’m sitting on the floor of an empty house. All furniture gone. Arse is numb (from the sitting on the floor!). All i have is my ipad, small tv, sky sports box office and a wife upstairs cleaning the bathrooms! Off to my mum and dads for the last few days before we fly. But they don’t have sky and there was no way i was missing this fight!

        • We’re moving to the wifes home town, Dallas, Texas mate. (Well, nearer Fort Worth to be exact, but they’re kind of the same city as they merge into one another).
          It will certainly make a change from my current digs. Sunny Watford, Herts.
          Finished work on Friday. Actually felt quite sad. Excited too though. Weird mix of emotions.

        • WC terminology is gonna get confusing for us MLSers. Cos we have two back to back wildcards coming up. I’m guessing you mean the World Cup, mate. Umm. I’ve pretty much given little thought to it to be honest. It’s gonna be a mental 4 days, but I’m waiting until the game is open until I think about selections and strategies. MLS is still doing my head in enough as it is! 😉
