World Cup 2014 Fixtures Schedule
Following on from our World Cup group by group analysis we are delighted to present to you our fixture tracker for the group stages. Many thanks to Andy who kindly volunteered to provide us with this along with his take on how it will all pan out in the usual colour coded fashion, complete with a current form guide which will give you an idea of how each team is shaping up in preparation for the big day. Hopefully this will be of some help to you all as you plan your fantasy teams and their progression through the group stages. We shall endeavour to update this as the competition progresses to the knock out stages to keep you as well informed as possible.

 Form Guide Key
W – Wins
D – Draws
L – Losses
F- Goals For
A- Goals Against
CS- Clean sheets attained in last 10 games
Rather than taking results from the last 6 games as per the norm I’ve stretched it out to include the last 10 games to try and include as much competitive football as possible as persistent freindly games are sometimes not the best stats to gather information from, I think only the Koreans have not had a competitive game in their last 10 games. The quality of opposition also varies greatly across the board.
NB All stats are up to date to the 23/05/14, all teams still have either 2 or 3 friendlies left to play until the competition kicks off.

Color Code Key
Purple – Not only do I think this team has a high chance of winning the game I also believe it may be possible for them to win by a fairly big margin.
Green – All green team games should be considered as favorites for this tie.
Yellow – All yellow team games should be considered, as it could possibly go either way.
Red – All red team games could see that team struggling in that corresponding fixture.

Some of you will have registered already but if not the site that we are using for this years game is Mcdonalds Fantasy World Cup, you can register here. You can register now and begin to pick your squad from June 8th ahead of the big kick-off on June 12th. We will publish the FF247 league codes as soon as the league option is open on the site itself.
Azpi could be the budget man we are looking for. Now nailed to play in the Spain squad.
B, he may not be budget anymore after having a good season in the premier league.
True. But he should be the cheapest Spanish defender.
Friendlies summary:

Evening all.
What camp are we all in tonight?
A. Froch
B. Groves
C. Who? / What?
I’m on the fence. Just want at least 8 rounds and a proper knockout finish.
2 hours to go and i’m already getting excited!
Wanting Carl Froch to finish the job again tonight, expecting another ding dong battle though, ring walks about 9.45 GMT.
Hi Andy.
Yep, i was cheering for Froch last time. Neither has covered themselves in glory since then so struggling to pick a side this time.
Either way i don’t want it to be a single ‘lucky’ punch out of no where. I want a clear, consistant, disection of one of them. We don’t want another rematch.
If Froch comes through the first 4 then i can see him winning. Although groves has done loads of fitness work. Can’t decide!
So excited!
Sorry Chins, replied in the wrong thread.
Groves for me, first fight was a joke and can’t stand Froch.
It was a joke Cookie, i agree. Although i do think that Froch was about to put him down when it was stopped.
In other news… RVP just scored v Ghana.
Yeah from what I’ve seen Froch could well have ended it. As I say I’m no expert but from a layman point of view is it fair to suggest that Groves gave it his all before and Froch maybe underestimated him? In which case a small step up for Froch may be enough?
Hi guys & gals, followed this site for the last few months of the BPL season and it helped immnsely! Looking forward to the same during the WC. Cheers!
Hello JimBob,
Welcome aboard my friend, glad you’ve stopped stalking and shown yourself !! Only kidding.
Hope you enjoy the community and everything else that goes with it – looking forward to chatting with you mate.
Welcome Jimbob!
Interesting name! Split personality? Several names? Sharing a user name with two friends?
Do tell!
Exactly that. It was an old xbox name shared with my brother and it’s stuck for years.
Ha! Good stuff.
Welcome aboard. You getting involved in the WC game? Got your short list together yet?
Mmmm got a few players in mind but that will all change I’m sure. I’d like to have Neyma and Iniesta and possibly Lukaku but we’ll see what the budget allows for!
Get into the WC fantasy + hunt around for a partner in the doubles, Chins you with Calvin ?
Which part of the world are you in BobbyJim ?
England, South West. Partner for doubles???
Elle, yep, i’ll be assisting Calvin with an assult on your doubles title!
Apparently Calvin is the brains and looks of the operation. Not exactly sure where i’m going to fit in!
JimBob it’s not a dating site so they don’t have to be located close to you! 😉 I imagine (hope) most of the doubles team stuff is sorted via text, e-mail or WhatsApp. Mito must rack up some air miles otherwise!
We shall find you a partner come what may in due course, if need be.
Welcome to the site as well!
Chins true to character you will be burning down opponents’ houses if we lose! So Elle am I right in thinking you’ll have a doubles and singles league going for the WC too?
Hi Calvin, yes I think we will trial a doubles league in the WC too so that people can establish partnerships and figure out how to do it between them ahead of the FPL one next season.
Evening BobbyJim, welcome to the nuthouse, great to have some more new faces on board.
JimBob.
Hello,are you a Walton?
Potty
Evening Potster, you feeling ok mate ? Think Dreams wants to ask you about the Perfect 32 + the Willys + Wallys.

Jimbob.
Buy a chicken.
And make that wish.
Potty

Sorry elle mate. Was too into the fight to type/read.
I even shouted at the wife for talking to me during round 3. Turns out she was only asking who i wanted to win.
I thought your telly was in a box in Texas?!
The carpark of Texas more like.
Potty.
We fly out on Thursday mate.
I’m sitting on the floor of an empty house. All furniture gone. Arse is numb (from the sitting on the floor!). All i have is my ipad, small tv, sky sports box office and a wife upstairs cleaning the bathrooms! Off to my mum and dads for the last few days before we fly. But they don’t have sky and there was no way i was missing this fight!
Hope you lads are well.
Chins where you off to mate?
We’re moving to the wifes home town, Dallas, Texas mate. (Well, nearer Fort Worth to be exact, but they’re kind of the same city as they merge into one another).
It will certainly make a change from my current digs. Sunny Watford, Herts.
Finished work on Friday. Actually felt quite sad. Excited too though. Weird mix of emotions.
Sorted internet connection in our new house already though – Can’t miss out on picking my WC team!
big change there id say
Don’t know why I just wasted 10 minutes on this. But ‘Fort Worth, Hertfordshire’ is an anagram of ‘Fort Worth had red fries’.
You’re welcome.
Goddamit. I meant ‘Watford, Hertfordshire’ is an anagram of ‘Fort Worth had red fries’.
Bryan, thanks for that mate. No, really, i mean it. Anagrams like that really mean a lot to me. And 10 mins?! Wow, i heard there is absolutely nothing that takes you 10 mins!! 😉
How WC picking coming along?
And Bryan, an even bigger “wow” for you…. Fort Worth DOES actually have red flies** !!
** it doesn’t.
WC terminology is gonna get confusing for us MLSers. Cos we have two back to back wildcards coming up. I’m guessing you mean the World Cup, mate. Umm. I’ve pretty much given little thought to it to be honest. It’s gonna be a mental 4 days, but I’m waiting until the game is open until I think about selections and strategies. MLS is still doing my head in enough as it is! 😉
You arrived in the USA yet? I sincerely wish you all the best! You’re gonna have to follow FC Dallas now. Or maybe these….
