World Cup 2014 Fixtures Schedule

World Cup 2014 Fixtures ScheduleFollowing on from our World Cup group by group analysis we are delighted to present to you our fixture tracker for the group stages. Many thanks to Andy who kindly volunteered to provide us with this along with his take on how it will all pan out in the usual colour coded fashion, complete with a current form guide which will give you an idea of how each team is shaping up in preparation for the big day. Hopefully this will be of some help to you all as you plan your fantasy teams and their progression through the group stages. We shall endeavour to update this as the competition progresses to the knock out stages to keep you as well informed as possible.

 Form Guide Key

W – Wins
D – Draws
L – Losses
F- Goals For
A- Goals Against
CS- Clean sheets attained in last 10 games

Rather than taking results from the last 6 games as per the norm I’ve stretched it out to include the last 10 games to try and include as much competitive football as possible as persistent freindly games are sometimes not the best stats to gather information from, I think only the Koreans have not had a competitive game in their last 10 games. The quality of opposition also varies greatly across the board.

NB All stats are up to date to the 23/05/14, all teams still have either 2 or 3 friendlies left to play until the competition kicks off.

Color Code Key

Purple – Not only do I think this team has a high chance of winning the game I also believe it may be possible for them to win by a fairly big margin.

Green – All green team games should be considered as favorites for this tie.

Yellow – All yellow team games should be considered, as it could possibly go either way.

Red – All red team games could see that team struggling in that corresponding fixture.

    Its all over.
Massive right hand from Froch. Groves KO’d flat on his back.
Not the toe to toe fight i’d hoped for but enthralling all the same.
Froch has a seriously hot girlfriend too!

Did you watch the boxing in your Frock?
As all your other dresses are packed?

But i did slip into a frock for the fight. Just a little tradition we have in our house.
The wife is wearing my clothes.

    * An assist is awarded to a player who plays the final successful pass which leads to a goal. Please note that assists are not awarded to players who are fouled for free-kicks or penalties which lead to goals, for own goals or for goals which result from rebounds off other players or the woodwork.

Biggy, where can you see the players + prices ?

      • Bigpopz says:

        Elle..

        No players or prices yet….
Just thought this might be helpful at glance..
Think its gonna be important to have a good balance of players…
Defo two nailed on superstars upfront..
But loads of points available all over the pitch..
Quite like how the points are spread out…

        Who’s your must haves….?

        • Dunno yet, i’ll wait till the 8th of june, if you start doing things now it’ll take over your life till then.

        • The B says:

          Hey Bigpopz.

Went through the rules quite some time ago and here are my must haves. smile

For me, in the defence, Pepe and Ramos will be the immense must haves in the recovered balls department, while Srna and Azpi will be the most budget friendly and decent choices.

In midfield, Busquets should be a must have, maybe YYT too. Budget friendly would be Shaqiri and Honda.

In the forwards, the only two i can think of are Messi and Neymar.

        • Bigpopz says:

          Nice B..

Might sound a bit stupid….but not sure if I understand “Ball recovery”
          or “balls recoverd”…?

I assume it’s when you tackle some one & gain back possession…?
          No..

        • The B says:

Yup. Stealing back the possession describes it perfectly i think.

        • inittowinit says:

The B and Bigpopz, you have e-mail. Tekno the same. Just need a quick reply, yes or no basically and we can launch the new article this evening. Thanks.

        • The B says:

          initt

That email was very Canadian. Are you one? 😉

        • inittowinit says:

Not one and never been there but I guess my ancestors must have been 😉 Just thought it was polite to ask!

      Andy says:

I’ve applied the current scoring system to the England and Peru game and there is a Peruvian player who’s actually managed to outscore 7 of the England players, could be a roller coaster ride this WC fantasy game, is it to late to join the cricket one, I’ll probably still have better odds of winning that sad

  4. 94
    The B says:

So David Villa and Lampard on their way to MLS.

    Will miss Fat Frankie!

    • 94.1
      inittowinit says:

Saw this B but they won’t be able to play a competitive fixture until next March I guess when the new NY team joins MLS so I imagine they’ll both be featuring on loan somewhere until then. No idea on Villa but I imagine Frank will go to QPR with Uncle ‘Arry for a bit?

      • The B says:

I had the same thinking but he recently ruled out signing Frank and Rio.

But still, Harry will make the transfer market more interesting! laugh

        • inittowinit says:

I wouldn’t believe a word Harry says B! I doubt he does. If anyone’s up for being signed he will be leaning out of his window trying to seal the deal. I’d be surprised if Fat Frank isn’t wearing the unflattering for fat people hoops in August.

    inittowinit says:

The son of the Brazilian football legend Pele has been sentenced to 33 years in jail for laundering money raised from drug trafficking.

Edinho is a retired footballer who played goalkeeper for Pele’s old club, Santos, in the 1990s.

He was first arrested in 2005 and has served a sentence for drug trafficking offences and links with a notorious drug dealer in the city of Santos. (BBC)
