World Cup 2014 Fixtures Schedule
Following on from our World Cup group by group analysis we are delighted to present to you our fixture tracker for the group stages. Many thanks to Andy who kindly volunteered to provide us with this along with his take on how it will all pan out in the usual colour coded fashion, complete with a current form guide which will give you an idea of how each team is shaping up in preparation for the big day. Hopefully this will be of some help to you all as you plan your fantasy teams and their progression through the group stages. We shall endeavour to update this as the competition progresses to the knock out stages to keep you as well informed as possible.

Form Guide Key
W – Wins
D – Draws
L – Losses
F- Goals For
A- Goals Against
CS- Clean sheets attained in last 10 games
Rather than taking results from the last 6 games as per the norm I’ve stretched it out to include the last 10 games to try and include as much competitive football as possible as persistent freindly games are sometimes not the best stats to gather information from, I think only the Koreans have not had a competitive game in their last 10 games. The quality of opposition also varies greatly across the board.
NB All stats are up to date to the 23/05/14, all teams still have either 2 or 3 friendlies left to play until the competition kicks off.

Color Code Key
Purple – Not only do I think this team has a high chance of winning the game I also believe it may be possible for them to win by a fairly big margin.
Green – All green team games should be considered as favorites for this tie.
Yellow – All yellow team games should be considered, as it could possibly go either way.
Red – All red team games could see that team struggling in that corresponding fixture.

Evening all – am very intrigued to hear Potty’s announcement tonight
Indeed Cookie.
TV shipped. Wife gone to bed. Chores done. Wine openned. MLS transfers done.
I literally have nothing else to do but to wait for Pottys announcement.
I used to have a life you know.
Oi, bins + chellies, don’t sit there doing nowt, get your molars around this teaser :- There are eight managers who have won a Champions League final and lost a Champions League final. Name them. :dance:
Sir Alex
Mourinho?
van Gaal, Hitzfeld, Fergie.
Lippi.
Juup Heynckes.
Rafa Benitez.
Bloody Ancellotti, forgot about him. Reminded me of Capello though, that was a bit easier than i thought (provided their all correct of course?
Scolari
Ancelotti
Pep?
Guardiola (sp)
Ancelotti
Cliff Richard. :turtle:
Klopp
Right, lets have a look, sir purple nose, lippi, ancelotti, van gaal, hitzfeld, heynckes are correct, so 2 to go.
Benitez is 7, 1 more please.
Don’t know his name, but is it the guy that also managed spain? Think he was at Real for ages. Not the racist one, the other one around that time.
Nin, you plonker, do you know what you are waffling on about ? Do you realise you have just got the 8th answer, capello. :shake:
I do elle, i only thought of Capello when i seen Init and Chins put down Ancelotti
Japan beats Cyprus and Kagawa came up with the assist of the only goal scored.
Surely people might now look at him and pick him to get the most out of him in the “Group of Yellow”.
The B, i am becoming a little intimidated by you as opponent in Pottys Perfect 32. You’re putting in a lot of hours into making sure you get a good team together.
In fact, no don’t try to stop me, i insist you join me as the representatives from our group of death in the second round.
No, don’t try to argue. My mind is made up.
Sorry Elle and Mito, but B deserves it more than you two.
:turtle:
Whoa ! Whoa ! Hang on here a god damn cotton picking minute Chins, our group may well be the group of death, but me and Potty, yes Potty not Mito, ain’t gonna lie down for you and the B. :cuss:
Sorry Elle, you’re absolutely right.
And apologies for the Mito/Potty mix up.
I didn’t mean to suggest that you would simply lie down in our group. It would be physically impossible for you to “lie down” when The B and myself have you that far bent over!
Booom.
:hippo:
:turtle:
Chin.
Dont expect any mercy from me. That old gravatar does not intimidate me.
Evening all…
Evening Kop.
You well?
All good Chins…off to Portugal for a week tomorrow
You all set for your move?
Nice! Can’t beat a bit of sun when this place decides to forget its meant to be summer!
Almost there on the move thanks. A few more days of admin BS to get on top of and we’ll be on our way.
Have a great holiday!
Hello the FF247 community and here on the dot as promised is my Announcement.
Firstly lets take ourselves back to the start of the Premier League Season that’s just ended and for many on here lets just for now remember where we all came from????
Yes that great grounding school for many of us Fantasy Football Cheat.
Well before a ball was kicked in anger ahead of the 2013/2014 campaign a certain Steve Cook aka Cookie held an interview between 5 Fantasy Football greats and asked them certain Questions regarding what lie ahead for them.
Well guess what…..Potty has kept track of it all and here are the results.
The 5 Managers were…..
MUTLEY = a seasoned Fantasy Football Manager.
INITTOWINIT = knows his stuff so he believes.
MITO = our FF247 twitter expert.
POTTY = creator of Pottys Predictions.
and
KOP WARRIOR = as all of you know the Fantasy Football Tips Master of FF247.
5 quality pundits.
From here on in what you will see are the results of all their own Predictions,so lets begin.
Welcome too……
“Fantasy Pundit or Fantasy Plonker”
Note….next to a players name in brackets is their Points total for the complete season!
Onto them Cookie Questions…
1 = Can you give us all the name of a cheap defender that you know will do well?
Kop = Luke Shaw (123pts)
Init = Alcaraz (6pts)
Potty = J.Brayford (0pts)
Mito = Chester (56pts)
Mutley = Alcaraz (6pts)
2 = Who in your opinion will be the new Michu for the season which is shortly upon us?
Potty = Giaccherini (74pts)
Kop = No Idea
Mito = W.Zaha (21pts)
Init = Bony (158pts)
Mutley = Not a clue at this point.
3 = For you as a Forum member that many follow,which player is a must have for the season?
Mito = Aguero (156pts)
Potty = A.Cole (88pts)
Mutley = Nolan (131pts)
Kop = RvP (112pts)
Init = Coleman (180pts)
4 = In your opinion who will end up as the highest Fantasy Football points scorer by the end of the BPL?
Mutley = Lukaku (168pts)
Init = RvP (112pts)
Kop = RvP (112pts)
Mito = RvP (112pts)
Potty = Giroud (187pts)
So there we have it……but hold on we need a Pundits Season Long Table and here its is.
Lets Roll….
1st = Inittowinit = 456pts (Pundit Supreme)
2nd = Potty = 349pts (Pundit Understudy)
3rd = Mito = 345pts (Pundit? you make your mind up)
4th = Mutley = 305pts (Pundit? I don’t think so)
5th = Kop = 235pts (the definite PUNDIT PLONKER)
Thanks for tuning in and remember….Pottys always watching what you do,LoL.
Potty
Potty, great stuff mate – a couple of observations – firstly I think you have developed a small thing for Init. More importantly the answers I had written down totalled 782pts. Just saying :hippo:
I’m happy with 5th
Haha brilliant Potty, well done! I did wonder what you were doing under the duvet last night :hippo:
No idea where I got Alcaraz from I never owned him once. Suppose it still beat Brayford! :oogle:
France 4-0 Norway
Ruffier; Debuchy, Koscielny, Sakho, Evra; Pogba, Cabaye, Matudi; Valbuena, Giroud, Griezmann
1-0 Pogba goal Valbuena assist
2-0 Giroud goal Griezmann assist
3-0 Remy goal Debuchy assist
4-0 Giroud goal Valbuena assist
This result was more due to Norway being defensively poor than France being good. France would get the job done against weaker teams with such an performance but would need to up their game against top teams. Still, France had an air of efficiency about them, and was a threat most of the time they attacked. Remy looked good the 25 mins he played; will probably challenge for a starting spot and I would be surprised if he doesn’t get at least some gametime.
Cheers Tekno,
These friendlies reviews are really helping me shape some ideas for my WC squad. I’d be lost without the efforts from the people on here. (From a fantasy perspective, not emotionally).
Thanks again.
World Cup Friendly Review
Nigeria looked particularly strong on the counter attack but a little poorly organised in dealing with crosses into the box in tomorrow nights 3-2 win over Scotland
😉
Lol GP, love it – a natural match to attempt to fix eh?!!
Cookie
I’m actually here for the game, arrived earlier this evening.
Out in Fulham just now for a quiet drink and even I feel guilty for some reason!
I might put a bet on…..
😉
Chins
I have to laugh, the official SFA twitter feed were running a guess the score competition for fun earlier on (as they do for every game), it’s been quickly removed
We could make the papers on Thursday morning if this comes true!
“FF247 poster Gallant Pioneer is being investigated in a match fixing scandal after fellow poster chins won $1mil on the outcome having been tipped off on Tuesday night….”
