Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 16

Welcome to the Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 16 article. Well, that didn’t go as planned. We had 8 guys earn 5 points or less this gameweek, that is usually not a recipe for success. However not everything was gloom and despair as among all the crappiness there was some FPL heroes that came to at least save us from total disaster. With the likes of Alexis, Kane, Firmino, Pedro, Walker and Cech one would not expect to be turning to a Swan and Hornet defender for the points. Amat and Holebas did what they could for us and rescued our dignity. Well them and The Prince of Darkness Diego Costa. Because with a bunch of misses everywhere on the team we did manage to captain our highest scorer. So thank you Prince Diego and our two defenders who we will call Am-A-Ho. What you say? Are you? Didn’t know, but we won’t judge. Anyway our score of 47 put us in the 2 million average in terms of GW score and even though the FF247 Community team would be ecstatic if they consistently scored that, we need to do better. We dropped to 48k in the overall for a loss of 14K. But nothing better than a quick turnaround after a tough week, so with that let us get onto our transfers for this new gameweek.

Transfer(s) – Sold Ilkay Gündogan and bought Gylfi Sigurdsson

Transfer Reasoning…
No real mystery here in the sale or the buy really. Gundogan has been firing blanks ever since we brought him in on top of the rotation risk he has come under in the last couple of weeks. Siggy has scored 5 or more points in five of his last six and his next five fixtures look like an opportunity to keep on keeping on. As many know December offers a lot of opportunities for managers to use all their cuss words. Because as we all know some rotation will kick in. We think/hope Siggy will play straight through, if for no other reason that Swansea are in a battle for their Premier life and he is their best/only decent player. So in Siggy we trust…

THE NEW TEAM IN FULL FOR Gameweek 16

Our Captain is… Harry Kane
It was mostly unanimous on this one, but Prince Diego did get a vote. Both have great fixtures so either could have been justified. Think in the end the venue tilted the scales a bit in favour of Kane. Plus a quick glance at the season shows us that Hull has taken in the most goals including an incredible 9 goals allowed between the Bournemouth and Sunderland games. So if those two teams can embarrass you, we are hoping Spurs can take out their frustrations on them also. Perhaps another beat down is in the cards, similar to when they hammered Swansea after the CFC loss. Hull you are up and Kane is ready to bring in a double digit haul.

If anyone is interested in following the site teams progress then you can do so here and we wish you all the best of luck this week with your own teams.

  1. Hey guys, need help deciding defenders this week.

Pick two to join Azpilicuetta in the back 3:
    Holebas,
    McAuley
    Smith
    Amat

    • Mc Auley and Smith

      • Same

        • Hey Init
          Your captain?

        • Nice one, I actually had Amat on instead of Smith. Just like smash suggested, but two home fixtures may be better

        • Yeah really weren’t sure between Smith and Amat. I expect Bournemouth Leicester to be high scoring

        • Hey nish.

          What about him? :)

        • Haha. Sure mate
It’s tuff to choose between Him and Kane really

          M going Kane though

        • Yeah same here

    • McAuley and Amat and hope for a 0-0

    • McB

McAuley and Smith I think as well.

  2. Alonso or Toby?

    • Long term Alonso. However for the next 2 weeks Alder. Depends on your plans

    • chris,

Alonso but both are tremendous choices.

I’m basing this on Chelsea being more reliable than Spurs most weeks.

    • To buy? I’d probably prefer Toby over the next 2 but Alonso over the next 4 in which case it’d be Alonso,

    • Alonso for the season :)

      • Thanks for the advice guys. Toby is always a threat at set peices and Spurs are solid defensively where Alonso has a lot touches in the opposition penalty box, so he is a threat

  3. A- Redmond to Siggy
    B- Williams to Cahill
C- One of Williams to Jones or Redmond to Siggy then do the other transfer next GW week
Funds mean I cannot do both A and B so it’s one or the other, Cahill vs Siggy basically. If I take in Cahill I would likely take in Zaha next gw
    Which do you prefer?

    • duthers

Some how I like the defensive move better (may be the Zaha carrot dangling there next week) so I would do Williams to Cahill.

    • I think the ceiling is higher with Siggy on any given week. Cahill will probably bring you a more consistent 6. I’d probably go Siggy myself.

  4. i have 0.3ITB & 0FT left. I am confused about the following plans:

    1. Iheanacho to origi for a hit
    2. Just leave the team as it is

Any suggestion regarding the team is very much appreciated

  5. Hi lads,

Is this my best starting 11 and captain?

    Cheers

    • Yep without a doubt.

    • beno

Yeah not much appealing to me there on the bench so I think the 4-4-2 works for you this week. Captain is a coin flip between your current one and the vice, as it is for many this week.

      Good luck.

      • Thanks guys.

        I always get my
Captain choice wrong, really let me down this season.

Thinking of Firmino to Siggy next week

Or sorting that bench out. Maybe Williams to Cedric

No funds to upgrade Allen or Barry :(

  6. Unless someone can convince me that Kane is the better captain choice …..

    • Hull at home was the deciding factor for me GP, a truly horrible team in this year’s EPL, Sunderland aren’t much better like.

    • Costa will score one or may be two
Kane will score none or bag a hattrick :)

      Great team Sir

Future plans to release some money from the defence?

      • I feel the same nishant – I think Costa with a goal would be considered a success. Then I’ll take waht I can get from Kane!

Gundogan probably me next player to go but no plans to downgrade defence right at this moment.

        • Good luck to you :)

    • I’m going with Kane which means you should almost certainly captain Costa based on my captain choices recently!

  7. Who to field between Gundogan and Defoe this gw?

  8. Evening lads,

Am I good to go? Good luck to everyone – here’s to some big green arrows!

  9. Oh crap I have missed the deadline I was just going to take a hit & check my Cap & the game is updating I’m not even sure who my Cap is ;)

  10. They are

  11. Good luck everyone :)
