Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1. As the great Bruce Buffer would say “IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTSSS TTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMEE!” Here we go, the planning stage is over and the moment has come to test all your pre-season theories. This season we don’t even have to wait until the weekend either, as the season kicks off on a Friday night. The invincible Arsene Wenger and his boys take on the now “back where they belong” Leicester.

Saturday hits us with a lunch time feast as Watford welcome in Liverpool and their high octane attack. Three o’clock has five fixtures on the slate. The Champs grab their first 3 points when they face Burnley, Palace host newcomer Huddersfield, The Toffees tangle with Stoke, Saints pummel Swansea and The Baggies back from vacation finally after leaving in February mix it up with The Cherries. The Saturday fixtures finish up when recently promoted Brighton tries their hand at figuring out why City paid that much for that defence.

Sunday hits us with the last two fixtures. Newcastle reacquaints themselves with the Premier League when they face Harry Kane and company, geez, what a welcome back. The late game pairs up Man United side versus a Hammers team whose big acquisitions were in part, three old Manchester leftovers, Chicha, Zaba and Hart.

Just some advice im trying to take myself at the moment, after weeks of planning, chopping and changing to get your team right and then for a few of your big guns to not return decent points its very easy to want to transfer them out and jump on a few bandwagons. Im talking regarding KdB, Alonso, Kane etc. Its only week 1 and these guys cost big money for a reason. Have some faith and if they are still not performing a few weeks from now then reconsider, but i think there are plenty out there looking to take hits when they dont have to already. Patience is key.

I suspect we all are thinking of ifs and buts as we had probably every player in our draft teams. I am on 57 points with lukaku as skipper to come so not too bad. Although i toiled with Erickson and Kun combo vs KDB and Kane, i went with the latter. As we know my combo blanked and the other didnt. Its a 38GW season. Stay true and give ur players 3 to 4 weeks. No striker will score in every game and if it was not for price rises we could change strikers every week.

I wasn’t sure if that would come… but it has! Romelu’s already off the mark and United have avoided a 0-0 at home.

Sitting on 35 points with just Lukaku to go, this hasn’t been the best of starts :/..

Currently on 56 with DDG and Lukaku (c) still playing! I’m normally ready to WC at this point but am happy with my GW1 team. Fabregas let me down so guessing he is the first to be transferred out. Would you suggest straight to Willian, Xhaka or someone else?
