Live Match Chat Gameweek 32 FPL News

Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 32 FPL News: It’s weeks like this that separate the ‘casuals’ from the serious players as we begin our 3rd gameweek in seven days. Remembering the deadline is one thing, being properly prepared and planned with such a short turnaround is another. Hopefully you were but either way it’s probably too late now! Gameweek 32 begins with Spurs looking to put an early marker down and place subsequent pressure on Chelsea as they take on Watford at home. We then have five 3pm kick offs, the highlight from an FPL point of view being Kun facing Hull at home. That’s probably it to be fair looking at those sorry fixtures! Well ok, you could make an argument for having West Brom defenders or maybe some sort of interest in West Ham vs Swansea but if anyone is getting excited about ‘Boro vs Burnley then give us a minute to find you the number for the Samaritans…

Saturday evening ends with Chelsea hoping to restore that lead over Spurs as they visit Bournemouth.

Sunday brings us two games beginning with the ‘Moyes Derby’ which sees Sunderland put to the test by Ibra and co. This is followed by what should be an entertaining encounter as home boys Everton entertain in form Leicester.

The gameweek then extends into Monday and this should be a cracker too. Say what you want about Big Sam but if there’s one thing in football he relishes more than anything it is a home game against Arsenal! He’ll have had this one ringed on his calendar for months in advance…

Please join us as ever to discuss the games as they happen and share your feelings, successes and woes as the action unfolds and hopefully the FPL points flood in for you.

Fixture Tracker

The Tracker in full…

FT Diff

DGW34 IS ON THERE AS CONFIRMED BUT DGW37 IS VERY MUCH PROVISIONAL!
That’s our best guess as to how it will pan out and there is still Southampton vs Arsenal to be rearranged. That looks likely to be in GW35 or 36. The FPL site itself has said that they expect the remaining games to be confirmed on or around the 7th April.

Teams with DGW’s ahead… (with thanks to Rosco)

Evening guys, don’t know if this has been asked already but anyone know why Walker isn’t playing? Really starting to annoy me now.

      Andy says:

All Poch said after the game about Trippier starting was that he was making use of his 24 players, sadly we’re getting no great info on whether or not Walker is carrying something.

      • inittowinit says:

Must be carrying a knock surely? Trippier is some deputy though. Crosses like Beckham, could have had at least 2 more assists today with some better finishing.

        • Andy says:

Trying to second guess the managers choices at this stage of the ball game is always a nightmare, there were lots of strange selections today with Negredo, Deeney and Firminio also getting a taste of the subs bench but Trippier did look good today going forward.

        • Smash10 says:

Trippier is some player to be honest. I think Spurs have two of the best right backs in the league. Surprised there has not been this rotation all season.

      • Matt says:

Do you guys think it’s better to avoid certain Spurs players then like Walker? Only Alli, Eriksen and Kane are the only ones I think will start consistently now.

Just annoying have a 6.4 mil defender getting 0 points when that money could be put to better use.

        • Smash10 says:

Vertonghen and Alderweirald will always play. Same withDavies until Rose is back

        • Andy says:

Poor you with having to deal with Coutinho coming off the bench smile

In all seriousness you’ve been pretty unlucky with Walker missing out but I’d still maybe keep hold of him until you WC.

        • Matt says:

Oh trust me I’m grateful that Couthino is coming off the bench but on another day it could have been a 1 point player instead of a CS.

Hey guys. Just looking at the fixture tracker and something really bugging me. Do I do a Costa and Sterling out for Kane and Son given Costa and Sterling have DGWs in week 37? Will Son be as effective now that Kane’s back? Bit of an explosive player isn’t he?

      inittowinit says:

37 depends on your WC situation really Chilly. And your BB one for that matter. I have both so 37 isn’t a consideration here but if I didn’t I guess it really would be.

As for Son he was basically playing up top with Kane when he came on and got loads of chances as a result. Quite how he didn’t get at least a hat-trick is beyond me but I’d have no issue buying him on that evidence today.

      Rosco77 says:

Spurs will most likely have a DGW in 37 too, triple spurs however you slice it seems optimal going forward!

      • TheDreamers says:

Rosco – could get to the point nothing to play for either. 7 ahead of City, 5 of Liverpool with game in hand. Could be dead rubber games

        • chillywilly_007 says:

Good point but Chelsea could drop points away to United. Spurs will see that as an opportunity to at least close the gap and push them all the way. They’d want to get one over Arsenal at the least

        • inittowinit says:

Spurs won’t let up regardless I don’t think. Beating Arsenal is enough to see that they won’t. Especially after last season!

        • Rosco77 says:

Yeah could be, I have 3 spurs now which I’m happy with, should that change I’ll obviously address that with FTs and my WC pre-DGW 37, all I meant was ‘as things stand’ no ‘waxys’ style declarations from me #eye100%ontheball !

        • inittowinit says:

Oh Lord! Do I need to check the comments back? What’s the king of non-declaration been spouting off about today?!

        • KI says:

          Roscoe and The Dreamers,

Two Spurs points. First, Kane will probably start next week, and it’s Son who usually concedes the most room. Alli and Eriksen get precedence; Son may start on the wing, but it’s a different role.
Second, after the collapse at the end of last season, both Poch and the team will drive the finish line, just to show they’ve grown a bit.
          FWIW.

      • Rosco77 says:

Ha ha no nothing Init he’s been well behaved as far as I know, and he even avoids headware consumption thanks to Coutinhos late cameo!

    Gents, evening, how goes it?

I’ve been out in Paris all day in with the family but am pretty pleased with today’s points. Everyone’s except Siggy’s, actually, funnily enough!

King – despite me thinking the ship had long-since sailed – still seems to be a great cheap option right now. Spurs (A) next is a big turn off though!

Do we think Siggy vs Watford (A) —> King vs Spurs (A) is worth doing (tomorrow) for next gameweek? It would save me 0.1m – valuable WC funds – but Watford are in an absolutely dreadful state right now…

Mirallas is also a concern for me. I’ll see how he fares tomorrow first.

    Waxys says:

Sweet on 60 points with Sanchez, Walcott, Pickford and Cardy to play smile things are finally looking good as I close in on that top 10k finish

    Gents

I have 1 FT and 1.1 ITB what should I be doing with this lot?
