Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW8

After a disappointing GW6, we’re pleased to report that GW7 was a much better week for the FF247 Site Team!

We finished on a very respectable 78 points, comfortably beating the weekly average of 59 by 19 points. That gave us a GW rank of 859,796 and hopefully signals a return to form after a few frustrating weeks.

Unsurprisingly, the main man was Erling Haaland, who delivered a fantastic 26 points as captain. Calvert-Lewin also chipped in with a very welcome 9 points, while our defence certainly did its job. Konsa returned 9 points, with Calafiori and Kadioglu both contributing 6 points apiece. Verbruggen also added another 6 points between the sticks.

Elsewhere, Groß contributed 5 points, while Saka and Rogers were relatively quiet with 3 and 2 points respectively. João Pedro also disappointed with just 2 points, although thankfully Haaland more than made up for that!

We also had 4 points from Le Fée sitting on the bench, but we’re certainly not complaining after a 78 point return.

Our Gameweek 7 Result

We have £1.6m in the bank and 2 free transfers to use ahead of GW8. Let’s go see what was decided….

Our GW8 Transfer(s)

After using two transfers ahead of GW7, we’ve decided to keep our powder dry this week.

With Liverpool’s defence being very iffy and Spurs being poor, we talked about trusting the players we have to do well. On paper it might not look pretty but hopefully it works out. After a strong overall performance last weekend, we felt there was no need to force a transfer simply for the sake of making one.

Rolling gives us another free transfer to play with next week and a little more flexibility should injuries, suspensions or changes in form force our hand.

It’s not often we resist the temptation to tinker, so let’s hope our patience is rewarded!

Scrap that… TRANSFER NEWS!

With Saka almost certainly out we have decided to move him on and gone route one with Palmer to complete the triple Chelsea front-line.

To confirm then we have SOLD SAKA and BOUGHT PALMER

Captain – Haaland

PREDICTED LINE-UPS

Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

  1. DCL looks like he is out. Another surprise! Will replace with Cherki.

  2. Play Gvardiol or Davis?

    • I think Davis JUST, I don’t think City will keep a clean sheet, not an easy fixture imo.

  3. Really struggling who to bench this week, thoughts?

  4. ok. dilemma time.

I would like to bring in DeCuyper and Palmer, but it means ditching Saka and Van Hecke.
    Is it a wise move?
Or should I do the below instead
1.Saka and Davis to Palmer and Vuskovic?

    • You don’t think Gvardiol playing less than 30 mins past two epl gameweeks makes him insecure?

      • i do, so having 2 good bench players is a must

terminators suggested in a previous post to me that maybe ditching van hecke instead of davis,
        should i ditch gvardiol instead

        • I wouldn’t ditch Gvardiol, the reason I think Van Hecke is that Spurs are so poor and I cannot see them getting a clean sheet anytime soon, okay he may get decent defcon but if there isn’t a clean sheet as well it’s just a waste.

The rotations now are getting crazy and as good as Gvardiol and Cherki are they do seem to be having minutes issues, I also think they will be going all out to try and win the CL in case they get huge points deductions etc.

    • DeCuyper is great but only playing OOP because others are injured, you can drop back to Vuskovic later if you want.

I have Kinsky but I think it’s a mistake and I have more faith in Davis as a bench player than Van Hecke.

      • My ML leader and the one chasing me has DeCuyper – so is it worth getting Vuskovic, or match them for now.

        • I have both, I will keep Vuskovic for the season hopefully, DeCuyper is out of position because Minteh & Mitoma injury and when one comes back DeCuyper could lose position, DeCuyper is much more of a goal threat where Vuskovic is much better for DEFCON, i jumped on the DeCuyper bandwagon, cannot beat them so join them!

        • I joined the DeCuyper bandwagon, and when a wheel falls off, the Vuskovic tricycle.

Good luck for your team, and once again, thank you for your assistance mate.
