Bundesliga Fantasy Football 2019/20
GW34 DEADLINE SATURDAY 27th June 2:30PM GMT
With the Bundesliga seemingly taking over the bulk of the chat on site (understandably, given as it’s the only game in town right now) we have decided to (tried to!) move the chat onto its own specific article to allow others space to chat about FPL, dandelions or whatever they wish elsewhere, so that they aren’t simply left muttering ‘Das ist mir Wurst’ to themselves all summer.
We will not do a fresh Live Match Chat for each week, we shall simply update this one as we go along with the latest deadlines and fixtures. We shall endeavour to post the line-ups prior to each phase of the relevant GW and our usual FPL Countdown Timer (to be found above the latest comments section) has been temporarily handed over to Bundesliga.
Tips will be dispensed in the chat below (mainly by Mito we would imagine) but feel free to get involved in said chat, whether that’s asking for advice or answering others.

The main inspiration for us creating a fresh FBL article was Ivan and his willingness to volunteer to create a fixture tracker to deal with the remaining games. Mito got his crayons out and helped fill it in. Many thanks to both.

A curious point I heard is that Sancho doesn’t get credited for a hat trick. To get a hattie in Germany, the goals must be scored in the same half and without anyone else scoring in between.

Not sure what to do here. Have Gulde on 0 points and could bring Jacobs or Katterbach. Back in November in the reverse fixture Leipzig have won 4-1 and is likely to do it again. Stay or risk for possible negative points :scratch_one-s_head:
I’ve stuck Katterbach in as Star Defender! To replace a 6 (4) pointer. I’ve also put the Star on Werner and taken it off Müller, so go figure…. :rofl: But I have had a bit of a laissez faire attitude to this comp!

Gulde 0, then replaced by Lenz -2 and then replaced by Koln def 0…. conspiracy theory between them against us.
Just a learning/observation: Even if player does not play, his price drops. Gulde will soon become 1m.
A miserable 83 points (what I would give for that in the fpl game each week) for me this game week.
Only nine players played out of my starting eleven.
Had a big fat no show for Haaland in a 6.1 demolition job against bottom of the league team.
The Bundesliga game and this forum has the next game week deadline of 3 days, 20 hours and 25 minutes as of now but BBC website details the outstanding game between Werder Breman and Eintracht Frankfurt for this Wednesday.
I assume that double game weeks don’t count in German Fantasy Football.

Yep, no DGW. .. and don’t worry. This season is more like a trial and error to get the feel of it. Next season we will start from the beginning. Some weeks will go well, some weeks will be bad. Haaland was announced to be no-show. I guess, you do not have all the resources that Mito shared earlier.
(1) Do your transfer as late as possible – checking the lineup of first game.
(2) Remember that deadline is 2 minutes before first game starts.
(3) Check below site for predicted line-ups (generally updated on the last day).

Jamie, as far as I remember Mito said that this midweek game is not included in the BFL, but maybe is worth keeping an eye in case they change their mind.
The points have already been given so there will be no dgw.

I hope it has been a distraction and the ones who bothered to start up a team finish it out. Love to have enough teams next season to make it interesting. Personally I think it is a very fun game, but I get that it is a bit time consuming to do well in. I think that once you learn the names a bit those who play fpl can do very well. The last two seasons I have always been doing well but at some point I have missed deadlines for transfers or captaincy changes that cost me dearly, but I am confident that if we put in a couple of squads next season we could do very well as a group and even shoot for the amazing rankings that we had in a small fantasy FF247 mls league a while back before they ruined the game, where we placed 3 teams in the top 10 overall and something like 5-6 in the top 100 which was amazing considering it was a small league like this one.

I would love to get the FF247 t-shirt which I won in the first week of FPL prediction game. But it was difficult to send to me that time and I told once I am back to Germany, I will claim it. So, once all these corona problems etc. are over, I will be happy to get something with a FF247 logo as a memento.
Regarding FBL, I am probably going to be impacted (positively) the most as I stay in Germany. All these weekends, there are bars and pubs, I searched for some EPL match on screen. But it was all BL matches. I never payed any attention to BL as I did not know any player other than the ones from top 3 teams. Now, at least I can look into those screens and enjoy the BL matches with more friends and colleagues.
My employer is a sponsorer of Eintract and in last few months at least 5 occasions Eintract players visited our office to sell autographed merchandise. Trust me, there used to very long queue by employees with families to meet them for photograph/autographed items. I never bothered to participate. Now, at least I can identify those players and won’t mind taking some photographs with Kostic, Andre Silva, Bas Dosts etc.
But we’ve already congratulated GP haha Well done Machine, with great complaining apparently comes great scoring 😉

I don’t have Paypal (had, but forgot by not using for long). Anyway, I propose to roll that prize for next few MDs. We can have it MD30-34 or, 30-32 as you suggest. I think 33-34, we can just have fun – at least whoever started from MD26.
FBL: I scored 146, 78 (missed the deadline) and 166. Trust me, missing deadline is kind of a killer when you have low budget i.e. initial matchdays. Because my team is not that great. E.g. 7 players in my team scored 154 this week and the rest 8 including bench/negatives scored 9 with Cunha no-show. By no means you can tell it a good balanced team.
FMLS: It is much easier to play as I already finished top 10. Also, I managed to finish with OR=1 in a single GW as well. Now, they made it even easier. You literally need not much of a planning.
I would say, FPL is the toughest (my highest OR till date is 13k), then FBL (at least some planning is needed and scoring is good) and then FMLS (with WC every week).

Saturday was a great time for me to miss the Bayern deadline then! Although I see you had Sancho and starred him so that’s fine management and no complaints – a worthy winner, congratulations.
I’ll still be aiming to win the rest of the season though.
@GP, it is fun and we were almost neck to neck. Others also did quite well – looks like we are all improving. Next 5 MDs also will be fun I hope.

Then Haaland went injured. I had other problems too (players with low ceiling), so it was a gambled choice (which paid-off) to keep him.
