Bundesliga Fantasy Football 2020/21
GW16 DEADLINE FRIDAY 15th January 19:30PM
With the Bundesliga seemingly taking over the bulk of the chat on site a couple months ago when it was the only fantasy game in town, we decided that we should give it a home for the season, after a bit of coaxing. 😉
We won’t be posting a weekly article, but we will update the screenshots and the links within this article so you are getting relevant info for each gameweek as it comes along. We did come up with a set piece table and a pair of trackers to help you out as you build your teams.
Where to join > Fantasy Bundesliga Site the site is still not open for the upcoming season, but you can register now if you wish. We suspect that it will open up in the next few days.

Surely this one is self explanatory. We will do our best to update it as we go along.
Bundesliga Fixture Tracker
Bundesliga Tracker we don’t know what to call
This screenshot could be a bit confusing at first. If you have played fantasy Bundesliga though then you will know about the importance of knowing when your players kickoff times actually are.
“As a manager you can substitute players at any time. If you remove a player that has already played during a matchday you will lose his points and you will not be able to put him back on the field during that match day. However, you can change your star players with players from your line-up as long as their club is yet to play.”
Basically you can manually sub players out if you do not like their score. You can also change captains (there are 3 – a Defender, a Midfielder and a Forward per GW) which really makes who you place on your bench and what transfers you make very important. This game is not just about buying the best players is about having the right guys lined up to replace them in case they have a bad game.
The tracker above tells you when certain teams play compared to others. Ideally you will have your players a bit spread out over the GW for the reasons mentioned above. When looking at it, any team with a 1 next to it plays first which during the GW and in most cases that is ideal. As you get to captain/play players that you can sub out easily if they don’t perform. Any teams with a 4 next to them is not ideal (part of it depends on the fixture difficulty) in terms of their slot, as they play last that GW. If they fail, you will be stuck with whatever score they give you.
Quick recap:
1 = Ideal, the team plays first with plenty of time to sub if the player doesn’t score well, plus the possibility of getting it right on the captaincy in the first game.
2 = Good, gives you subs or captains that are separate from most of your 15 man team and still have other fixtures after it in case the players in this fixture don’t perform.
* = Average, this is where most of your players will land on a weekly basis. You always want the best players, but if they all play at the same time it does limit your chances a bit to make subs and get the captaincy right.
4 = Not ideal, Simply said, if your player doesn’t perform here there is no more chances to sub. Any team with a 4 beside it plays last.
Remember to always look at this particular tracker in conjunction with the regular tracker. In most cases you would not transfer out a Lewandowski just because he plays last. Last season when I looked at stuff like this it was more for the mid level, punty types. As most of us will own a Lewy and Sancho (if he stays) in FBL, so how you score when compared to others many times comes down to how those value picks or slight differentials perform. If you are able to buy those players with better time slots on top of decent fixtures, well one would think you will have given your team a better chance of scoring well.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 1 from all at FF247!
FBL Gw1: Well, there is not much news I can see. I am not sure of the starting 11 as well except Bayern which is largely unchanged.
(1) Pavard vs Davies – whom to pick? Both are at 15m. With Sane in Davies’ side, I am not sure whether thats a plus for Davies or minus.
(2) Anyone knows about any starter cheapo in each position?
I could not find any starter GK below 5m. Defender (below 5m) might be there, but I assume we can only find who starts after Gw1. Mids – Wirtz at 6m might be good with Havertz left. Fwds, I don’t think anyone is there below 7-8m.
This gives some clue.

@GM, Bulinews will put out some Tips this week and the podcast will also give us a clue. If you are looking for lineups you can go to Liga Insider. I like them because they gave us an idea formation wise also.
Going to update the set pieces screenshot now. Already looked through some of the preseason stuff to try and get it more accurate.
If Bundesliga starting predicted lineups is reliable, the less than 5m players likely to start are :
GK – None. Cheapest at 5m are Luthe (Union), Ortega (Biele), Kobel (Stutt), Zentner (Mainz)
DEF – 4m LaCroix (Wolf), Geisselmann (Union), Stambouli (Schalke) and at 3m Scmitz (Koln)
MID – 4m Saufert (Biele), Gruezo (Augs), Thielmann (Koln), Erras (Werder), Gastro (Stutt), at 3m Abrashi (Frei) and possibly that rare gem Klimowicz (Stutt) 1 million
FWD – 4m Kalajdzic (Stutt)
Otieno, if you want a balanced team. This is the cheapest bench with playing players-12 million, with three of your suggestions.
I probably only be looking at Zentner at most from that crew. The Stuttgart forward won’t get many games, thinking Nico Gonzalez has to be close to back now, plus the manager was talking up Wamangituka as a possibility up top because of his pace instead of Kalajdzic, I still think Kala gets the start though. Becker doesn’t look slated to start, None of the three places I look at have him starting. Kilmowitz could start and will probably play at some point even if he doesn’t, but he probably starts from the bench.
Consbruch (mid) from Arminia might start, not saying to expect much, but if you are in dire straits on the budget, he might get some minutes.
One day until the Bundesliga returns.

Also Bulinews already have like three articles out on player tips. There is also a podcast out on talking fussball.
Thank you so much…this gives some idea.
Is it good to start with playing 15? or keep some 1m non-starter?
I really try to get a 15, if I happen to miss out on a second keeper, i don’ care that much. Keeper is not worth worrying about in my opinion, the cheapest one that starts is usually good enough for me usually.
If that was fpl, I tell you that at least one guy on the bench who plays be enough, but considering the rules of this game, I try and have 3 guys who play on the bench so you can drop bad scores if possible. Not saying they must be of equal value, but if you can find a cheap player or two, that be good enough in my opinion and if you are lucky they play early in the GW as their score is the most likely to be on the low side.
With FPL going I have not really got too much of a chance to get some prepping in outside of the charts above. Hoping that tonight i can sit down and really start doing a bit of research.
Here is my first draft
Are you really doing the whole Neuer thing again? :acute:
Well, I started with him but might reconsider this tomorrow and save money with someone else in order to beef up the bench.
Guerreiro was one of the first people I put in my team when I made an initial draft, but I hear he is a big doubt for Saturday. So here thinking whether to chance it or not.
I think it’s worth the risk. It will be difficult to get him later with only 3 transfers if there are other issues in the team.
In your case you could just go Davies and then downgrade once you know Guerreiro is fit, in my case it is a bit different as I already put in Davies.
On Neuer, he probably finishes top or at the very least top 3 in points for keepers, but when looking at him pair him up with the player you are having to downgrade to so you can afford Neuer and then compare that pair to what players you can get with a cheaper keeper, if you still feel Neuer and his partner will outscore the other pair, then keep him.
Davies was in my very first draft and I like him as he plays OoP and always generates points.
He doesn’t play oop, it just feels that way.
Last season he was a reverse oop as he was classed as a mid but played left back. So he got a lot less points then he could have got. I think his classification to a defender this season makes him more appealing as he now gets clean sheet points along with his attacking returns.
Yes, I don’t know why I omitted him in this draft. Must try to fit him in again.
Mito, in your opinion, who is is the next best, or two GK after Neuer worth looking at?
Next best is probably going to be a guy from a top 6 side, possibly Gulacsi or Sommer, but they are expensive also so I shy away from them. If I wanted something decent but not top of the line I probably be looking at Casteels. Pavlenka at 7 is cheapish but he plays for Bremen now so you will be counting more on save points than clean sheets with him.
In the end I will probably end up on Luthe or something. I build my whole team and then look at the keeper, I put you in at keeper if they let me.
Thanks Mito. I’ll have good look tomorrow and see what can be done. Need to enhance the bench as it’s not looking right.
@Ivan, yeah we can go through teams tomorrow with whoever is about. I need to do sit down and do some research tonight, so I should be a bit more ready tomorrow hopefully.
Cool, chill out and then put the thinking cap on. Plenty of time still.
Yep, Neuer is great but he eats a lot of cash when you have him with other big guns. I might try Neuer free team this season and get a few mid range priced players instead of those 1 and 2 mill ones who might play or might not.
Ok, legit trying to build my team now, man man man, not the easiest.
