Bundesliga Fantasy Football 2023/24
With the Bundesliga also nearing a start we figured we give it a home again that way you Bundesliga managers have a home to discuss bad transfers and terrible captaincy choices.
We won’t be posting a weekly article, but we will keep this article up and though it will disappear from the front of the site, just use the “Hot Topics” link on the right to find your way back to this chat.
We will do our best to post relevant tweets and links to pages that are helpful in fantasy on the chat below so you all have the best possible help.
Bundesliga Fantasy rules changes season- 2024/25
Unlike previous seasons, now you can select only 3 players from each team. That shouldn’t be a great shock as we are well used in the FPL.
New points system goes huge:
80 points for a goal from a forward, 100 for a midfielder and 120 for a defender. Wait, a massive 200 points if somehow your goalkeeper scores. Assists are rewarded from 40 to 150 points, depending on position. Penalty saves get 120, bonuses of 20 for a brace and 60 for a hatrick are added too.
For a first time, dribble earns you 5 points, challenge won, either on the air or the ground, gets 5 points as well. Every successful cross brings 7 points and 1 for every successful pass.
On the flipside:
Deduction of 20 points for a yellow card, get a second one and it’s another – 60. Miss a spot kick is -60, scoring an own goal -80, every foul prompts 5 and a massive -100 for a strait red card.

**Bundesliga Fantasy 2023/24 updated with the new rules**
Like the rules. Just have to setup the team once a week then and can then relax
That’s true Reg. They are getting close to the FPL format. The difference now is, we have to choose 3 captains for striker, mid and defender and it’s done. Oh, and the bench becomes more important than ever
I just read the new rules, having not played FBL for a couple of seasons. I certainly like the idea of not having to monitor lineups and make manual subs at each kickoff during the Matchday.
I’m a bit confused though, because on one hand it suggests the best 11 point scorers of your 15 man squad will auto-sub in (subject to valid formations of course), but elsewhere it mentions that the formation cannot be amended (which could limit the usefulness of the ‘best scorers auto-sub” – e.g. if you set up as 3-5-2 and the third striker on the bench outscores one of your midfielders, does it mean they can’t auto-sub on, because it would amend the formation to 3-4-3?)
Chips, that’s how I understand it. Automatically substitutions will be made with the highest scoring player from your bench to a corresponding player on the pitch. Basically, we gonna have to make decision before the round starts whether an extra striker or an extra midfielder, or even defender, will be more beneficial for that particular week.
Or, it could be completely different and end up with the best 11 highest scorers

Well guys…..hope you all are doing good. Time to put-on my fantasy shoes across FPL, FSPFL and FBL.
Rules changed: Summary: If you are not clear.
(1) Formation is fixed before the MD deadline and will remain the same for that MD. Auto-sub will not change the formation.
(2) Top scoring 11 players fitting the formation will remain at the end of MD.
(3) STAR(*) players point * 1.5 will be compared while comparing highest scores for that position. e.g. if you are playing (4-4-2) and your two FWDs get 6*1.5=9 and 8 respectively whereas bench FWD gets 7, then there will be no auto-sub.
(4) If your STAR player does not start, auto-sub will not get STAR.

Will put him and just keep him there till season end most probably. But he is basically a replacement for Lewandowski who was insane for Bayern. Have to wait and see if kane gets that successful.
We have to, before he goes back to 15 m from GW2.

I removed Sane to put kane. Kane assists Sane
I like this new rule of not changing star player and no manual subs and bench players will come on if they score more. No need for tinkering during matchday. Thinking kane may start slowly so didn’t put star on him.
I put the stars on all Bayern players including Kane.
