With the Bundesliga also nearing a start we figured we give it a home again that way you Bundesliga managers have a home to discuss bad transfers and terrible captaincy choices.
We won’t be posting a weekly article, but we will keep this article up and though it will disappear from the front of the site, just use the “Hot Topics” link on the right to find your way back to this chat.
We will do our best to post relevant tweets and links to pages that are helpful in fantasy on the chat below so you all have the best possible help.
Bundesliga Fantasy rules changes season- 2023/24
There are two major changes this season
1.- You can no longer switch the star player to another throughout the GW as before. So, chose carefully your striker, midfielder and defender who are going to have the star before the start of the first game. Still, each of the star players scores will be multiplied by 1.5
2.- You can no longer change formation and do substitutions once the Matchday has started. The good news is that if a player on you bench has scored more points than a player from your field he will be automatically substituted.

Even in the FBL things are going wrong. Should have captained Boniface and Stenzel with another 24 points and Dortmund are crap this season.

Yes Dortmund are already playing catch up. I got a massive 73 pts combined from Boniface and frimpong as star players.
Leverkusen look the real deal. If anyone can possibly challenge Bayern it’s them maybe.

Wow I got in guirassy but put star on boniface. Don’t have the other Stuttgart players though
Reg, I don’t know if it was me or technical problem but I have no defender with a star and you can’t make any changes like before
Oh that’s strange. Yeah now u have to select star before gw starts and can’t change.
I think if u sold or benched your previous week star player, you need to select a new star player and perhaps you missed to do it.
Well now I got similar problem. I put star in musiala who is benched and I cant change star nor will star go to anyone else. Should have probably just put star on a more secure starter.
Reg no, sadly the good times are in the past when we were able to change everything around. Think Musiala will take some part later on.
Anyway, this is the craziest GW, all the top teams are playing against all the bottom ones. It was a pure lottery who the star should go to. Kane already with a goal.

I have same front 3 but went for Boniface as star player.
I have Hofmann as my star man but the game has subbed him off for Stage of Bremen who is on my bench and playing with 1 point so far. It now says “no star midfielder picked” and “Star players cannot be changed”
There is no star on Hofmann now residing on my bench. I looked at a few high scores this morning and some of them had no defender star man. Stenzel scored well so I assume he was transferred in and the starman out.
I think there is a problem as the transfer of the bench players used to happen after all the games were played
Well Boniface also almost matches the other 2.

Kruz, I thought it was me but is seems to be a massive technical glitch on the site. You are the third person reporting this.
Ivan, I can now see davies as ur star player.. I think they put the star players once they play and if a bench player plays before them, the bench players move into starting 11.. basically they autosub the players in who play Friday and Saturday and once the Sunday players play, they come in if they get more pts.
That’s my understanding
Oh yeah, just saw this, thanks Reg. It looks like the system is improving. They have already substituted Ito who had 2 points with Henrichs. Should have gone with the tried and tested Stenzel but we can’t have them all.
I finished last night on 188 pts. Looking to do transfers but the market opens in 6 hours. My score has increased to 193 pts and my starmen Boniface and Hofmann have changed to Kane and Brandt. Frimpong stayed the same as my top scoring defender. Maybe they will sort it out before the Transfer Market opens.
The same here. I’ve gone up from 196 to 204. The stars moved from Fuhrich and Guirassy to Hofmann and Kane. No idea what is going on but don’t mind
That’s strange. My star too went from Boniface to kane and from musiala who didn’t play to Hoffmann.
But if star simply goes to highest scorer then what is point of putting star?
Absolutely strange.
Reg, I think the entire new system is still under construction. Every GW something new pops up. Maybe a few more weeks before we find out what’s happening
Looks like the problem is fixed. The star stays on our selection and not changed to best performer.

Leipzig are leading Bayern 2-0. As things stand and if Bayern don’t make a big comeback, Bayern slip to 5th in the standings.
Don’t see that very often
I think Bayern will come back, done it many times before.
Anyhow, got the stars on wrong players again. Hope they do the rearrangement again like last week
