Team Talk Gameweek 29

Team Talk Gameweek 29 – FPL Fantasy Football Premier League. Welcome to GW29, or as I call it, Limbo Week. It’s a game-week with just five fixtures, due to it being FA Cup Sixth Round week. Now the fixture conundrum of not only this week, but also the next few weeks has been well highlighted in all other articles this week, so no need to fill you in anymore on that. But that doesn’t mean GW29 is any less significant, indeed far from it – I mean look at the positives – all the matches held on one day, surely a more simple choice for captain, no Suarez or Sturridge issues to keep us awake all night, you get a football free Sunday and you only have to sit through half of my usual Friday waffle…

Team Talk Gameweek 28

Team Talk Gameweek 28 – FPL Fantasy Football Premier League Let’s get this show on the road. All the debate about how many players we can field for GW29 and how many double game-weekers we can muster for GW31 can be temporarily put on hold as we enjoy the action of GW28 and count all those lovely points as they roll in. We are, of course, two games light this week as Man City and Sunderland fight it out for the Capital One Cup, meaning West Brom get to hold more internal meetings as to ascertain the best way forward, while Man Utd hold more meetings as to how they can get rid of Moyes without losing too much face. Damn it, I wasn’t going to mention the hopeless ginger numpty this week, but I just can’t get him out of my head…..as Kylie once said. GW28 is very tidy, so great news for ...[Read More]

Team Talk Gameweek 27

Team Talk Gameweek 27 – FPL Fantasy Football Premier League How painful is a 10-day break in FPL, especially when most experts’ advice is to “hold your transfer in front of GW29”? Well, I don’t know about you but I don’t know what to do with myself – the Mrs hates me moping around, I’m tired of building a 759 man squad for Ultimate FPL, I’ve realised I have no comprehension of anyone except a handful of players in MLS and I’m bored of playing Candy Crush. Well, fear not, because we’re back, the waiting is over, the pain is eased – GW27 has arrived!! Our game-week kicks off at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea look to increase their lead at the summit when they entertain Everton in the lunchtime kick-off. Five 3pm’s follow as Arsenal host Sunderland, Hull travel to Card...[Read More]

The Differentials – FPL Fantasy Premier League

While most Fantasy Football mini-league battles are usually decided on the big issues such as captain choices over the course of the season, sometimes the closer battles are won by one under-utilised element: the differential. The differential is the player that is uncommon in the vast majority of teams, and has the potential to give you those additional points – even just the odd cheeky goal or clean sheet – that will see you steadily rising up the overall rankings and in your mini-leagues. It’s maybe not the player you bank on, on a game-weekly basis but rather when the time arises and has the potential to reward your bravado…
