[divider_1px] The things I do for you all eh?! Right, let’s get on with it. The schedule this week has been kind to those who have been presented with a Christmas “to-do” list by their better half as we have no early match and a Saturday evening match o...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 16

Team Talk Fantasy Football GW16 Welcome to GW16 and let’s face it, if it comes anywhere near to matching the drama of GW15 then we’re in for a fun and unpredictable ride – it started of course with City losing at Stoke, then Villa came close to a win at Southampton, those who benched Mahrez were placed on suicide watch, Chelsea lost at home to Bournemouth and finally Newcastle beat Liverpool. United of course drew 0-0 and Lukaku scored again. Some things went as expected. Everton finished off GW15 on Monday and kick off GW16 as they visit Norwich on Saturday lunchtime. Just four 3pm matches follow – Palace welcome Southampton, City entertain the Monkless Swans, Watford travel up to Sunderland and West Ham take on Stoke. The evening match sees Bournemouth host Man Ut...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 15

Team Talk Fantasy Football GW15 The countdown to Christmas begins with the first weekend of Advent – trees will be erected, decorations hunted for in the cupboards, cards starting to be written and maybe even presents purchased. Exciting times – but as exciting as a 3-day game-week? Of course not!! Our week kicks off at Stoke as table topping City come to town. We then have a busy afternoon with six 3pm matches – Big Sam takes his Black Cats to Arsenal, United welcome West Ham, Southampton host Villa, the struggling Swans battle it out with the Foxes, Norwich travel to Watford and Spurs go to West Brom. The evening sees Bournemouth take the trip to Chelsea, with some predicting a Blue revival. Sunday sees just one match as Newcastle, now back in the relegation zone, host ...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 14

Team Talk Fantasy Football GW14 Well, we’re over a third of the way through the season now and whether you’re doing well and time has flown or you’re struggling through a rough patch, FPL waits for no-one. And so we plod on into GW14 and it’s a 2-day game-week which kicks off at 3pm as struggling Villa welcome Watford, struggling Bournemouth host Everton, struggling Newcastle go to Palace, struggling Sunderland entertain Stoke and struggling (on last week’s form) City and Saints do battle at the Etihad. Not struggling top of the table Leicester face 2nd placed United in the evening game. Sunday lunchtime sees a London derby as Chelsea visit Spurs and then a couple of hours later West meets West in the East as the Hammers meet the Baggies. Our game-week then is...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 13

Team Talk Fantasy Football GW13 Welcome to GW13 – it’s been a long time coming and so much has happened since the end of GW12. International injuries to some of our players, the recovery and imminent comeback of others – and in the meantime under fire managers, namely Jose Mourinho and Garry Monk remain employed for now with both of those clubs facing very winnable fixtures this week which could lift their gloom. Our game-week begins at Watford with Man United the lunchtime visitors. Six 3pm matches follow as Chelsea welcome Norwich, Everton host Villa, high-flying Leicester travel to Newcastle, Southampton and Stoke do battle, Bournemouth go to Swansea and West Brom tackle Arsenal. Saturday evening sees Liverpool travelling to City. Sunday sees just the one match as Spurs host the Hammers...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 12

Team Talk Fantasy Football GW12 An international break awaits us post GW12, so it’s time to set up your team correctly and get the most out of your squad before we get to put our feet up and hope our players get through the subsequent fortnight injury free! It’s been another interesting week which has seen Remi Garde arrive at Villa, continued speculation on the future of Jose Mourinho and a busy week of Champions League and Europa League action. Our game-week starts off down at Bournemouth with Newcastle the visitors Saturday lunchtime and then onto the 3pm kick offs. Vardy and Mahrez will hope to carry on their great form and break down a stubborn Hornet’s nest, United welcome West Brom while Norwich and Swansea do battle, Southampton hope to be this week’s benefi...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 11

Team Talk Fantasy Football GW11 Welcome to GW11 and while it’s always exciting to dream about what our new game-week will bring, it’s also with a sense of sadness with which this article is brought to you. For we have lost a dear friend. A fun character, always entertaining, one who provided laughs and joy and brought fun to our lives. “They were singing my name three weeks ago and they’ll be singing it again in three weeks time.” Oooops, some things you should keep to yourself Tim Sherwood, my friend. Let’s hope he’s back soon for the league is a lot poorer without his stupidity, his idiotic comments and his arrogance. And I have lost a victim. That’s three now this season, along with Dick Advocaat and Brenda. I am winning this war. Now for ...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 10

Team Talk Fantasy Football GW10 Welcome to GW10 and finally some normality is returning to our FPL lives – City banging in the goals, Arsenal beating weaker opposition, United back on track, Lord Pardew out of the top 4 (thank fook), Chelsea returning to winning ways, Aguero injured and Villa and Sunderland keep on losing. The only strange part was seeing Newcastle win last week, but let’s face it – even a broken clock is right twice a day. And so onto GW10 and it’s a gameweek condensed into a 27 hour period – no early kick off, no Monday night footy – that’s right folks some good old fashioned 3pm Saturday kicks off and a Super Sunday. Five 3pm matches get us going as Swansea travel to endangered Villa, the Lord takes his Eagles to battle the Foxe...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 9

Team Talk Fantasy Football GW9 Welcome to GW9 and it’s a gameweek that many were looking forward to after an improved and Kun-inspired GW8 – however numerous injuries over the dreaded International break, including the aforementioned Aguero, has left many a manager waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, fearing how they will field a team without a points hit or two – or three! It’s a gameweek where we welcome Jurgen Klopp as the new Liverpool chief – damnit I like Klopp – this is going to test my loyalty to the extreme. We also welcome back Big Sam, we’ve missed you buddy, though a few weeks in charge of the Black Cats may leave you questioning your sanity. Our gameweek kicks off Saturday lunchtime with Klopp and his new lads travell...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 8

Team Talk Fantasy Football GW8 Welcome to GW8 ladies and gentlemen – a week that promises so much. And will no doubt deliver nothing if we are to take precedent from the previous seven gameweeks. Yeah, it doesn’t get much easier this game, though at least last week we saw some sense of normality return as Rooney, Sturridge and Kane scored their first goals of the season and Alexis popped up with a treble. This week kicks off in South London Saturday lunchtime as Tony Pulis takes his Baggies to meet the Lord at Pulis’ ex-Palace. Five 3pm fixtures follow with Villa taking on Stoke, Watford travelling to Bournemouth, City prepare to see off the Toon, Norwich and Leicetser do battle and the Hammers look forward to another happy away day as they go to Sunderland. Chelsea host ...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 7

Team Talk Fantasy Football GW7 Welcome my friends to GW7. Many say that 7 is a lucky number, so as we’ve said just about every other week so far this season, may this be our lucky week. It can’t be much worse for many FPL managers, who continue to struggle with the abnormalities that the season has brought in the first six gameweeks. Though much of that has of course been the wrong captaincy choice. You’ve had the captaincy article, you’ve also had the Tips and Fixtures – it’s now time for the match previews and all-important team news. Our gameweek begins Saturday lunchtime as Sergio Aguero prepares to single handedly destroy Spurs once more. Six 3pm matches follow – Leicester host the Gooners in what could be a goal extravaganza, United welcome Sunderland in what could be a goal extravag...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 6

Team Talk Fantasy Football GW6 The season continues to baffle and dismay and we continue to lose faith in the majority of FPL big hitters. Will this week be the week they come good and restore some confidence back into the frazzled mind of the experienced FPL manager? Time of course will tell as we plod into GW6 of what for many of us already feels like a long, painful road ahead to May! We kick off the week with what we assumed in August would be a top of the table clash – bizzarely it is far from it, but it’s not Arsenal who have underperformed but Mourinho’s Chelsea. The Gooners take the short trip to West London for the lunchtime kick off to see if the Blues can kick start their season or if Wenger can plunge his great mate into further disarray. We then have five 3pm...[Read More]
