Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 37 Flurry As if to epitomise the season before it we have no time to dwell on GW36 as the next one is upon us already. GW37 itself will seemingly pass in a relative blur though as it is but two days long; crammed in midweek, much like the newly excited crowds will be in the stands. Rotation will probably hit hard this week so we hope you have a bench full of talent to cope. We begin early on Tuesday with a rather odd deadline time of 4.30pm. We have four games to begin with and the other six on Wednesday, which looks as follows; The games in full… Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as th...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 36 Small is beautiful After 15 games in 7 days we have an 8 game, 3-day game-week, oh what joy, almost traditional, there’s even a game at 3pm on Saturday. On TV, of course. It’s worth remembering that Chelsea, Leicester, Man Utd and Arsenal all blank in GW36. Our game-week begins on Friday evening as the newly crowned Champions go to Newcastle to celebrate with Rosco and friends. Stuart Dallas; we shall all bench him no more this season, and all be hoping the curse of actually playing him doesn’t come back to haunt us as Leeds travel to Burnley for the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday. Our 3pm match sees Southampton host the relegated Fulham before the evening match sees West Ham take on Brighton at the Amex. Sunday brings us the r...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 35 The long game You may have noticed that there are a lot of games this week. If you haven’t and this is the first you know of it then you may be in a bit of trouble here. There are 15 in total, spanning 7 days in total, with at least a game on each day. 8 teams play twice and 1 other (Man Utd, aka Bruno) play thrice. We shan’t bore you with our usual pithy comments about each one, as 15 of those would probably be pushing the envelope a bit. Other than to say that come the end of it Champions will most likely have been crowned, some CL places will have been sorted and at least 1 more team will probably have been relegated. And of course, as is fitting with this season; GW35 ends on Thursday at about 10.30pm and GW36 begins about 20 hou...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 34 Days of yore Back to a relatively bog standard GW, certainly in so much as there are 10 games and every team features just once. Albeit one after the other in this new endless procession of games that we have to endure to please TV audiences. Surely there wouldn’t be an outcrying of grief, even from the woke crowd, if just occasionally they lumped a few together at 3pm on Saturday for old times sake?! Just take a game involving a couple of crap teams who even their own supporters would be glad of a break from and sneak it un untelevised. Newcastle vs Arsenal springs to mind! But we digress… GW 34 begins on Friday as Saints attempt to exorcise their (one of now many) 9-0 demons vs Leicester. Man City kick Saturday off for us by no dou...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 33 Avarice (The following was witten in a fit of pique last Monday afternoon, but despite the hollow apologies and mass backtracking from the clowns and cowards involved it still seems raw enough to be relevant / worth airing). Our GW begins on Friday at 8pm with Everton (8th), a traditinally wholesome family club with strong moral values who appreciate and respect their fans, going to play some scumbags in North London who think they are a European super-power and as such are above such meaningless yet competitve games against lower opposition (9th). Newcastle, a (previously) traditinally wholesome family club with strong moral values who (used to) appreciate and respect their fans, kick us off on Saturday lunchtime at 12:30pm vs some scumbags who...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 32 Just as the Covid restrictions are becoming eased FPL goes all retro on us and casts us back to the mid-2020’s; those glory days when we had a game or two nearly every day to watch in the evening sun. GW32 is spread over 7 separate days and goes from Friday night to sometime next Thursday. We’d say strap in for the ride but in all honesty it’ll be the mundane meandering that we really don’t miss much as the GW goes on, and on, and on… It may be worth having a flutter to pass the time and if so here you can find some good betting apps on which to do so. It is of course a DGW, of sorts, with Spurs going twice. They kick us off on Friday with an away trip to Goodison at 8pm. Saturday is fractured with just the two game...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 31 A relatively normal GW, certainly it is if you now consider the norm to be non-stop televised football from 8pm on Friday until 10pm on Monday anyway. Fulham and Wolves kick us off on Friday night, with fantasy interest probably a bit thin on the ground. Saturday is relatively short lived for once with Man City and Leeds at lunchtime, Liverpool seeking revenge on Villa in the 3pm game before Palace welcome local rivals Chelsea at 5.30pm. You get the night off after that. To watch Match of the Day. Sunday is more elongated with Burnley and Newcastle easing us in, literally, as we all find some hoovering or ironing to do instead. Be a good one to earn some brownie points in as the next two look delicious. West Ham and Leicester will go at it at 2....[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 30 You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone… After days upon days, weeks upon weeks, months upon months of seemingly endless football we were all either exhausted or just simply indocrinated. To the point that the odd day sans a meaningful game seemed… well, just odd. Back to reality perhaps? Don’t bet on it, certainly short term you can’t as we have GW’s already being spread out to suit the TV audience and do not think for a second that this new phenom will stop after this season. As for this weekend itself it is spread over just 3 days, but as is the norm now the games are handily spread out so that not one overlaps another. Funny that, isn’t it… In theory you can sit down on Saturd...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 29 Just the four games to trouble yourselves with this week, albeit they are spread over three days. We begin on Friday with Fulaham welcoming Leeds. A contrast of styles if ever there was one, certainly on the touchline at least. Lady and the Tramp springs to mind. The Jacket vs The Bucket. Saturday really just belongs to the FA Cup and as such we don’t get an actual FPL game until 8pm when Newcastle go to Brighton. Sunday sees our final two games with West Ham vs Arsenal at 3pm and then Villa & Spurs finish our very short GW off at 7.30pm. We then get a couple of weeks off as the International Break kicks in. We shall however no doubt have a few articles along the way to keep you entertained / informed. The games in full… Keep tr...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 28 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 28 Look, it’s a regular gameweek with no blanks or no doubles and to be honest some of us are so thankful for that. This super normal GW kicks off on Friday when Toon play host to Emi “Lord of the Clean Sheet” Martinez, for non-owners he is known as “that bastard that kills me every week, but I am too stubborn to buy”. Saturday gives us four more fixtures. Leeds tries to slow down a surging Chelsea side in the early game. Palace then takes on West Brom which is followed by Everton welcoming in Burnley and the day is capped off with Fulham taking on Pep’s XI, whatever that might be that day. Sunday also gives us four encounters. Saints tangle with Brighton, L...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 27 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 27 Well, after that super sized gameweek 26 that just passed we get an almost regular sized one in GW27. It is still a double, just not anywhere near the size of the one we just got through with. This one kicks off with a lunch time meeting between Burnley and Arsenal. That is followed by three more fixtures featuring a little of everything from everywhere in the PL standings. Sheffield host the DGW darlings Saints, Villa welcome in Wolves and Leicester travel to Brighton in the late game. Sunday brings us four more games including a match up only the immediate family of the players will watch when West Brom host Toon. Also on Sunday Liverpool play Fulham, that is followed by the Manchester De...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 26 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 26 The big one is here. And as DGW’s go this one is rather large with no less than 17 games spanning 6 days, starting on Saturday and finishing up at about 10pm on Thursday. That’s about 1,530 minutes worth of football, or 25.5 hours, and every last drop of it is televised. A small word of caution here, other than the obvious which is to have a good divorce lawyer to hand, after we finish on Thursday you get just the one day off as GW27 begins on Saturday again with an 11am deadline. We won’t script out all 17 games here, the picture below tells a thousand words, other than to say that there are 4 games on Saturday, 5 on Sunday, 1 each on Monday and Tuesday and 3 each on Wednesday and Thursday...[Read More]
