Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 16

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 16 When you’re good, you’re good! Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW16 Last week we said we were a broken record and *scratch scratch*, here we go again with another solid week! We didn’t make any transfers in GW15 and rolled the transfer which we will count as a good decision due to the colour of our arrow. It did give us a precious 2FTs for what turned into a week where Mbeumo got injured, Son got a niggle, Tsimikas got benched. Lots of headaches around the X-verse to deal with. Now it’s not a massive green arrow but we finished on 39pts just above the 35pt gameweek average which saw a small rise from 662 to 528th. The air is getting thinner! Our Gameweek 15 Result We have £0.5 in the bank and 2 free transfers to use ahead o...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 15 The dream is alive Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW15 We’re beginning to sound like a broken record, but yup you guessed it, we had another good game week!. We sold the injured Bowen who turned out not to be injured, his replacement Saka came in and scored 8pts so we didn’t mind! our other new signing Kelleher didn’t fair so well with just the 1pt on his debut a score matched by Palmer and Saliba. Elsewhere though it was a solid turnout across the board. Our Newcastle duo Gordon and Trippier combined to score us 22pts, Captain Salah managed an acceptable 10pts, just 2pts behind the other captain favourite (Haaland 7pts). An assist for Tsimikas for 4pts, 5pts for doing the same for Mbeuemo and a smashing 11pts for the ‘inj...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 14 How Long Will This Last? Welcome to FF247 Site Team Gameweek 14 As every normal person should do, your author has been listening to his daily dose of Blossoms. For those not au fait, they are an English band from Stockport who are very popular on these shores and hopefully further afield. Some brilliant tunes. One of which is on in the background as he begins to pen your Site Team Article – the title of this article is taken from that and is very apt considering where we find our FPL season leading. Ahead of Gameweek 14 we reside at 1,144 overall in the world. Crazy times. 876 points altogether and our third green arrow on the bounce. We are now way clear in first place in Bonaire, Saint Eustatius and Saba. How long will this last indeedR...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 13 Could we be any higher? Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW13 We continue our climb up the rankings with another solid performance despite (like many) leaving Tsimikas and his 15pts first on our bench. With new signing Saliba picking up 9pts on his debut for us we would have loved those 15pts instead of the 1 a-piece we got from the Newcastle duo Trippier and Schar. Thankfully everything else went swimmingly, 32pts for captain Salah, 8pts from Bowen, and 6pts from Palmer making up for the 2pts we got from both Gordon and Mbeumo. Upfront it was business as usual with 16pts from Haaland and 6pts from Watkins. We finished the game week with 84pts, taking us up to 824 points overall, which was enough to seal yet another green arrow moving us from 2130 ...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team – Gameweek 12 The Kings of Bonaire, Saint Eustatius and Saba Welcome to FF247 Site Team – Gameweek 12 Well we bet you don’t want to hear a success story after the shambles that was Gameweek 11 do you? Well, unfortunately modesty (only just …) prevents us from happy dancing in front of you as we are celebrating a Gameweek 11 where we scored *gulp* 55 (FIFTY FIVE) points. Sam Johnstone scored us 9 in Palace’s clean sheet win at Burnley, whilst Kieran Trippier and Fabian Schar (disgracefully) helped themselves to 14 points between them. A goal from Jarrod Bowen (7) and an assist from Bryan Mbeumo (5) led us to Monday night and James Maddison and Cole Palmer to go. The Chelsea man rattled in 12 points whilst Maddison didn’t. In...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 11

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 11 If in doubt, do nowt Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW11 In the end, the -4 for Salah was the wrong play and resulted in a small red arrow. Salah did score, and a 16pt return for our captain is no bad thing, but we’re gluttons for punishment, so let’s see what we could have won! We sold Son (10pts) and Fernandes (1pts) and brought in Palmer (2pts) and Salah (C) (16pts), factor in the -4 and on the surface, we look to have come out on top with 14pts vs the 11pts we would have had. Not so fast though. If we hadn’t brought in Salah, we’d have likely captained Haaland (16pts). Had we done that, we would have finished the game week with 78pts which is 13pts more than the 69 (-4) we ended up with. That score would have seen us jump to the heady heights...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 10

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 10 I tell you what’s amusing …. Welcome to FF247 Site Team Gameweek 10 When we come to write this when it is our turn to update you on the Site Team for the week, the top part says “amusing headline” – a sort of ‘insert funny name’ here part. The amusing part is that your author (GP) only realised Palace/Spurs was pulled forward to Friday when he went into check the first fixture for his Bundelsiga Fantasy Team for the week …. “Palace v Spurs, mmm, when did Flashscore start listing reserve games at the top. **PANIC** T-minus 150 minutes to deadline and here we are. I need a beer. We fell just short of the century mark this past week – 98 – but who’s complaining at that? A sizeabl...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 9 For whom the Bell tolls Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW9 There was us giving it the big ‘un’ about the early kick-off, and once again the curse was very real as our captain Son managed a paltry 6pts against Luton. Pah. The star of the show was a 9pt return from our keeper Sam Johnstone, but 6 pts from Trippier, Udogie and Maddison along with 5pts from Ollie Watkins was not enough to prevent a red arrow this week. Everyone else ended up with 2pts barring new signing Fabian Schar who went one better (worse) with just a 1pt return. We finished the week with 47pts, 3pts above the average but not enough to prevent a 10k red arrow seeing us drop from 27,566 down to 37,821. Not too bad in the end and we’ll look to get back to winning ways in GW9. Our G...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team – Gameweek 8

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team – Gameweek 8 We all dream of a team of Ollie Watkins’, a team of Ollie Watkins’, a team of Ollie Watkins’ ….. Welcome to FF247 Site Team – Gameweek 8 Guess who our star man was this week! Not that useless Norwegian lump, nor yesterday’s man Mbeumo, James Maddison or anything dressed in a Manchester United clown suit. Sir Oliver of Watkinsbrough. We love you. X 63 points overall with 23 (TWENTY THREE) from Aston Villa striker Watkins, including his second hat trick of the season, as he carried our attacking department. His nearest ‘challenger’ – Jarrod Bowen – was way back on 9 thanks to his goal against Sheffield United. For Watkins in attack, read Trippier in defence i.e. doing ALL the heavy l...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 7

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 7 Oh hell yeah! Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW6 How was our GW6 you ask? Well, if Carlsberg did game weeks it would probably look a bit like ours. We were awash with points from front to back, breaking the hundred point barrier for a cool 101pts. A clean sheet, save point and bonus point from Johnson (8pts), an assist and bonus from Estupinan (6pts) and double Newcastle clean-sheet with a goal from Botman (12pts) and a Hattrick of assists from Tripps (18pts). 44pts from our defence and keeper. Nice. Saka and Fernandes were the standouts in our midfield, netting 13pts and 10pts respectively. Maddison chipped in with two assists and 9pts whilst captain Haaland, did what he does best with a goal and 12pts. And to top it all off, Ollie Watkins only w...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 6

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 6 A good (game) week to have a bad week Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW6 We came out of the international break with high expectations for our team. It didn’t last long. GW6 was a rollercoaster of emotions (mainly bad ones) for many FPL managers and we were no different. In our defence, Matt Turner and Amari’i Bell might as well have stayed at home, contributing just 2pts each. Meanwhile, Ben Chilwell decided to make the aforementioned duo’s 2pts look like a mega-haul with a start from the bench, a yellow card and a not-so-grand total of 0pts – thanks Ben. In our midfield, it was starting to look like our team were members of some sort of secret club as Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford, and Bryan Mbuemo all chipped in with what was n...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 5 International (gimme a) Break Welcome to FF247 Site Team Gameweek 5 We return with a look at how our FPL team did in Gameweek 4, a time before South American teams began qualifying for the 2026 World Cup (no, really), when Italy didn’t beat North Macedonia (again) and poor old Harry Maguire lost to England (sorry Mrs M). Another gameweek where we could proudly boast that we beat (not smashed) the weekly average. Our 79 beats Joe Bloggs’s 72. This lifted us up to a season-high 104,106 and we turn attention to getting back in the saddle and cruising into the top 100k this week. Our main player, well everyone’s really, Erling Haaland took a 40 point haul into the break (in which he conitnued his scoring with his national team) and in...[Read More]
