Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 27

Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 27 “Strange and rare green arrows reported over FF247 HQ” was the headline on the front of Monday’s newspapers. Yes we beat the average, we rose in the rankings and after a brief but brutal management reshuffle we are on the way up. 59 points was the total this week compared to an offical average of just 41pts. That’s a massive beat by anyone’s standards, especially ours. It has taken us up to 829,435 in the rankings (from 997,243) – ok, still not a great ranking overall, but we’re heading in the right direction. Honest! GW26 in summary – We’ll pass over our 1pt masterclass from Hennessey in goal – he is cheap, his manager is nasty, what can we expect from such an unfortunate lad? Our defence did us...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 27

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 27 Welcome to GW27 – we hope you’re feeling refreshed, relaxed and ready after last weekend’s FA Cup action which has at least provided more clarity for GW30 and beyond. We kick off this week down in the East End as Big Sam returns to West Ham with his Black Cats. Five 3pm matches follow with leaders Leicester hosting Norwich, Chelsea going to Southampton, Stoke looking to boost their goal difference vs Villa, Watford welcome Bournemouth and West Brom do battle with Palace. Sunday sees Man Utd ‘entertain’ Arsenal and Swansea go to Spurs. The Capital One Cup Final follows between Liverpool and Man City which means a blank game-week for those two as well as Newcastle and Everton. Let’s Go Around the Grounds to catch up ...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Pottys Predictions Game-week 27

Fantasy Football Pottys Predictions Game-week 27 It seems so long ago now GW26, and it may be a distant memory, but it will long be remembered for the man himself Potty finally being well enough to return to the boards. It was heart warming to see him and we all wish him well in his battle and we hope to see him more regularly. Straight down to business then and last week saw joint winners as both Ceci and rushikhanvilkar correctly predicted one result (as did many others) but it went down to the tie-breaker for total goals scored and both were ultimately wrong but both were jointly ‘nearest the pin’ with 16 predicted against an actual of 19. Step forward and congratulations to both winners then, please e-mail the site at contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to claim your FF247 t-s...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Tips Game-week 27

Fantasy Football Tips Game-week 27 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16 “Well, it’s Tips, Jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it, not as we know it; it’s tips, Jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it, Captain”. If you somehow missed our guide to DGW’s and blanks last week then we forgive you as many took a well earned FPL break, but you may need to catch up if you did so, as we are about to enter a period of unprecedented uncertainty and only those armed with the necessary info will emerge unscathed. Here it is https://fantasyfootball247.co.uk/planning-ahead-dgws-blanks-etc/ If you don’t then pretty soon you can expect to hear “It’s worse than that, he’s dead, Jim, dead, Jim, dead, Jim; It’s worse than that, he’...[Read More]

Captain Picks Fantasy Football Game-week 26

Captain Picks Fantasy Football Game-week 26 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16 The last time yours truly constructed a Captains article was back in Game-week 12. So back by popular demand then I can only imagine. On that occasion I selected five players. Well six really, but I wasn’t going for the ten which I have in the past which was pioneering in my book but posterior-covering to my bosses at FF247. The five players performed like this: Kevin De Bruyne – blanked, showed poor subsequent form and is now out for the foreseeable future. Philippe Coutinho – scored 10 points and is also currently injured. Dmitri Payet – blanked and then got injured and although now back, is not producing the big numbers. Graziano Pelle – blanked unsurprisingly and has now only just begun his first m...[Read More]

Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 26

Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 26 ‘You’re s**t and you know you are, you’re s**t and you know are’ was heard echoing around the streets near to the FF247 offices as we arrived for work on Monday morning. Who was singing it? We’re not sure, but we have our suspicions! As you’ve probably guessed or in all likelihood you’ve come to assume at this stage we got our customary red arrow, our 13th of the season. GW25 saw us pick up 58pts which gave us a GW ranking of 1,758,718. The good news is that we’re still inside the top 1m with an OR of 997,243. Things are bad when we consider that to be good news! GW25 in summary – It was s**t, that about sums it up. You want the gory details? Ok so, but it ain’t pretty! Wayne ‘I no longer know how to keep a clean sheet’ Hennessy conceded after just ...[Read More]

Captain Picks Fantasy Football Game-week 25

Captain Picks Fantasy Football Game-week 25 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16 As midnight chimes in Tuesday morning, I switch the TV off, reducing Sky Sports News to naught but static electricity. I turn to face the noxious wall to my right, solemnly observing the solvent evaporating as it leaves the pigment behind. Through oxidation the exothermic reaction produces heat, and after a few hours the process is finally complete. Tired and intoxicated, I pull myself to my feet and make my way to bed. I fall asleep with the conclusions of the evening rattling around my unsettled mind. Yes, watching paint dry was way more exciting than transfer deadline day. Stoke were one of the few clubs to show up at the January sales on Monday. Like an eager consumer first in the queue, face pressed up ...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 26

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 26 Welcome to GW26 and things are beginning to heat up in with a blank gameweek is on the horizon while the excitement and planning for double gameweeks is just around the corner. But for now we have a normal 2-day gameweek which is kicked off at the Stadium of Light as relegation threatened Sunderland host the Europa challenging Man Utd. Five 3pm matches follow as Bournemouth welcome Stoke, Watford go to Palace, Everton take on West Brom, the Hammers travel to Norwich and Southampton trek to Swansea. The evening kick off sees Chelsea on tv again with Newcastle the visitors to the Bridge. Saturday’s matches are just the warm up though as we truly have a Super Sunday with the the leaders Leicester visiting 3rd placed Arsenal and 2nd placed Spurs go...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Pottys Predictions Game-week 23

Fantasy Football Pottys Predictions Game-week 23 We are slowly starting to realise why the bookies make so much money! Last weeks epic battle saw just five managers get just one result correct from a possible five predictions and so there was a resultant play-off. Quite predictably none of the participants managed to predict a single game correctly and so we went to the tie-breaker and we are delighted to say that NISHANT won it. He has already claimed his prize and that will be on it’s way out to him next week. As a bit of housekeeping, we know some winners have had their prize but we are aware that there will still be some previous winners out there that didn’t receive it but unfortunately we have no way of identifying which were sent and which weren’t right now so if t...[Read More]

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Game-week 21

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Game-week 21 Greetings and welcome to our first Tips article of 2016. We last brought you a dedicated Tips article ahead of GW17 and quite a bit has happened in the intervening game-weeks. Before you get excited FPL is still a minefield and for those of us who continue to struggle, the climb up the rankings remains an arduous task! Since we were last with you the 2nd wildcard of the season has become available and many have activated their wildcard in a bid to resurrect their season. This will hopefully help to spice things up as managers attempt to break the template and this will be aided by the clamour to get the likes of Aguero & Payet into teams, as well as the potential return to form of Chelsea. So whether or not you’re on a wildcard we have below out...[Read More]

Captain Picks Fantasy Football Game-week 20

Captain Picks Fantasy Football Game-week 20 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16 We don’t specialise in “I said this, I said that” nonsense on here. We specialise on giving the best advice we can given the information and stats to hand at any given point. Whether it’s right or wrong after the event is another matter and not one we indulge in. Usually. This week is different though… Let’s play ‘Best Pundit’! Back in GW16 we asked some of our ‘sages’ to give us their picks for captain in that week and again this week we do the same but before that we decided to take a look at the results of their last effort! Did you follow one and if so will you do the same this time or pick another more ‘successful’ punter? GW16 Resu...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 22

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 22 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16 GW22 is live! Nothing like the sweet smell of a lunch time kick-off. Spurs welcome in the lamb for slaughter when Sunderland pays them a visit and that is followed by 5 three o’clock games. Bournemouth entertains Norwich in a fixture that entertains no one, Chelsea welcomes in their superstar Lukaku…oh wait. City pummels Palace in Manchester, while Newcastle looks to halt the Frenchman (oddly enough) Payet. In other action the Saints will look to entice Pulis and his men to actually come out from their own 18 yard box. In the last fixture of the day, we see if the Leicester duo remember how to kick a donkey when they face off versus the ass, Villa. On Sunday we see two games to add to our FPL t...[Read More]
