David Silva is among the top footballers in the world. The 33 year old Spaniard has played for Manchester City for 10 years. He left Valencia for the English club in 2010. However, he recently revealed that he will leave the current EPL champions once the 2019/2020 Premier League season ends. Amateur punters who placed stakes in Betway on whether David will score in certain matches won huge payouts. In this post, we discuss David Silva's Manchester City exit. David Silva's Career at Manchester City David made over 395 appearances for Manchester City since 2010. He has won several titles with the club including two FA Cups, four EFL Cup trophies and four EPL titles. Nevertheless, he has missed a considerable number of games due to injuries. He played a critical role as a midfielder ...[Read More]
FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW16 Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW16. Following consecutive red arrows in GWs 13 & 14 we managed to claw our way back up the ranks with a final score of 68 in GW15. This comfortably beat the average of 45 and saw us climb back up to 36,483, our best rank of the season so far. With our defence and keeper returning just 3pts between them we were largely indebted to Captain Kane and Private Fraser who contributed 12pts each (doubled for Kane) with Richarlison not far behind with 10pts. Further solid performances from Jimenez, Sane and a late Salah assist managed to largely negate Arnie’s 0pts! Last weeks result in full… Happy with our progress we march on confidently into GW16, but now in search of an Arnie replacement, and...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3 A lunch time kick-off gets us going this week when Wolves or as City likes to call promoted teams, dinner, face off. That is followed by four 3pm games. Arsenal and West Ham tangle in a battle to save face, that is accompanied by the two worst teams in the Premier League matching up when Huddersfield welcomes Cardiff, about the only team the Terriers will feel like they can take any points off. In the other two similar time fixtures, the Vardy-less Foxes take on Southampton and The Cherries play host to Richarlison’s Toffees. Our Saturday finishes with Liverpool putting a half a dozen past Brighton in the late game. Sunday brings us another three games. Watford look for their third win this new season when Palace drop in, the other two fixt...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 2 Here we are, already diving into Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 2. Gameweek 1’s high flyers comprised the usual medley of routine regulars and ragtag randoms we’ve come to expect from the dawning weekend of an FPL season. Thousands took to the streets for Mo Salah’s 8 points; hundreds danced in the aisles to the tune of Jamie Vardy’s late Old Trafford cameo; while one hungover bloke from Swindon raised a refilled glass of mulled wine to his previous night’s drunken captain punt on Watford’s Roberto Pereyra. Disappointments for many included Harry Kane’s continued August allergy and Sergio Aguero’s unwillingness to find an unmarked Kevin De Bruyne with a square pass. In summary, GW1 belonged t...[Read More]
New Fantasy Premier League Transfers 2018/19 Max Meyer, Alfie Mawson, Alexsandar Mitrovic and Yoshinori Muto Welcome to New Fantasy Premier League Transfers 2018/19 – Max Meyer, Alfie Mawson, Alexsandar Mitrovic and Yoshinori Muto. This edition is very much the ‘M’ edition so is probably why they recruited me to write it. M is the 13th letter of the Alphabet and this certainly feels like my 13th article of preseason but c’est la vie! Here we have two familiar faces and two not so familiar ones. AT was a bit premature on his Fulham article as they have gone and signed two names that are experienced in the Premier League in Alfie Mawson and Aleksandar Mitrovic. The other two names you may not know too well and that is Max Meyer to Crystal Palace and Yoshinori Muto to Newcastle. Each of these...[Read More]
FF_Surgery Podcast In the past we have discussed the possibility of doing a podcast. Be it for time or any other reason, it is something that just hasn’t been possible for us. However, we felt like it was something we wanted to address and we know many FPL managers do enjoy listening to a podcast or three. So it was only natural then, that we would approach our friends at FF_Surgery to see if they would do all the work for us, while we just sit back and enjoy, those are the kind of relationships we enjoy. 😉 The possibility of one of our lot joining them was discussed and that remains open for a future podcast. We thank them for that, we may just make you live to regret that kind offer. We will have their podcast on our articles once they are ready to listen to every gameweek, so make...[Read More]
New Fantasy Premier League Transfers 2018/19 Alireza Jahanbakhsh and André Schürrle Hello and welcome to New Fantasy Premier League Transfers 2018/19 Alireza Jahanbakhsh and André Schürrle. A couple of relatively budget friendly but potentially also relatively good value midfielders wondered into our FPL lives this week. One is a household name, the other not so much. For many reasons. One is a World Cup winner who has played here before and actually won the league with Chelsea (despite being somehow unaware of doing so!). The other has just featured in the World Cup recently in Russia but we doubt anybody actually noticed. From that snappy synopsis it appears one is a shoe-in for our FPL teams and the other you should just forget about. But don’t let history fool you, necessarily. H...[Read More]
New Fantasy Premier League Transfers 2018/19 – Andriy Yarmolenko, Bernd Leno and Florin Andone Welcome to New Fantasy Premier League Transfers 2018/19 – Andriy Yarmolenko, Bernd Leno and Florin Andone. Omne trium perfectum. Perfection comes in threes. ‘The rule of three’ being of course a widely adapted writing principle, whether in comedy, advertising, or some other third thing. So why should Fantasy Football be any different? After trawling the breadths and depths of the Premier League transfer pond I handpicked the very best trio of recent FPL inductees. Unfortunately they were already taken by other writers, so here are three blokes you’ve never heard of. Andriy Yarmolenko | Midfielder | West Ham United | £7.0m I remember what it was like getting my first Star Wars figurine...[Read More]
New Fantasy Premier League Transfers 2018/19 Richarlison and James Maddison Hello and welcome to New Fantasy Premier League Transfers 2018/19 Richarlison and James Maddison. We continue our look at new Premier League transfers by focusing on two promising mid-priced attacking midfielders, namely Everton’s Richarlison and Leicester’s James Maddison. Richarlison you will likely remember from his time at Watford last season while you may not know so much about James Maddison unless you followed the Championship. Both midfielders are priced at 6.5mln and would appear to offer good value for money. They both also have the advantage of starting the season at their new clubs with decent looking fixtures. Richarlison Everton FPL price: 6.5mln Many of us hold fond memories of early seas...[Read More]
After a few postponements, the Spring season is now finally over and we will be entering the Fall season starting this week. Despite the many delayed kick-offs (due to freaky summer weather conditions) we witnessed another exciting round with 51 goals scored, including two hat tricks. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his first MLS hat trick and his ex-Manchester United team-mate Wayne Rooney scored his first MLS goal. Elsewhere, Bradley Wright-Phillips netted his 100th goal and became the fastest player to score a century in MLS history. https://twitter.com/MLS/status/1023781778308378625 Gameweek 22 Review The second edition of El Trafico finished in a similar fashion to the first. LAFC were 2-0 up until the 82nd minute when the Galaxy came back, this time to draw the game. Vancouver demolished M...[Read More]
New Fantasy Premier League Transfers 2018/19 Liverpool Edition Hello and welcome to New Fantasy Premier League Transfers 2018/19 Liverpool Edition! This is our year! Only joking I’m too much of a realist to get swept up in that stuff and I’m sure fellow Red and resident pessimist Kop would agree with me on that. Even though I do not feel as optimistic as the majority of fans, it seems that other fans from teams around the league are getting involved in and really feel Liverpool have made a great push to challenge defending Champions Man City. Liverpool have looked at some key areas of their team and improved immensely. They have spent £164 million this summer on improving weak spots which could prove money well spent if Alisson, Fabinho, Keita and Shaqiri hit the ground running. With this ...[Read More]
