Essentially, this is my first FPL draft, created last night for you to all pull apart/copy/laugh at. Take your pick. Promoted Teams Analysis – Leicester City Welcome to Promoted Teams Analysis – Leicester City The final promoted side we are looking at are the former Cinderella story, Leicester City. They were trotting towards the Championship title last season and then seemed to lose their way a bit. They made it a lot tougher than it needed to be. They won 13 of their first 14 games and were sitting pretty. They slipped to third place by the end of February and were then fighting for the top spot, only winning the title by a single point. They had 97 points, scored 89 goals, conceded 41 and kept 15 clean sheets. Promoted Teams Analysis – Southampton Welcome to Promoted Teams Analysis – Southampton The Saints didn’t have a massive fall from grace having risen back to the glory of the Premier League at the first time of asking. They did get stopped at the pearly gates for St Peter to check his guest list though, but Southampton was on the list with Leeds staying out. We will be looking at a different face in the dugout since last time they were in the Premier League as Hasenhuttl was sacked, Nathan Jones only last three months and Ruben Selles was only good enough for a caretaker job. It has been a long two decades for a team with a brilliant nickname, “The Tractor Boys”. My country boy heart is loving these farmers. However, does this now make the Premier League the Farmers’ League? It may only be classed as a town, but they hold a claim to being one of the oldest towns in England so that’s cool!
