FF247 Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 25 GW24 was supposed to be the one when Aguero finally marked his return with fireworks and at least a hat-trick. At least. Now we don’t know if this was a sign or just coincidence but at the time of writing 666 people had voted for Aguero in the Captains poll. Spooky, and slightly prophetic, as said fireworks were more of a damp sparkler as he grabbed a late assist to give his many many captainers a crumb of comfort. Seriously though, time is running out and once the bell rings at 11:30 on Saturday morning the much discussed January wildcard will thankfully be lost for another year! Transfer ‘Deadline Day’ much like the entire transfer window turned out to be a damp squib and as a result we are left with largely the same pool of players to choose from. The recent Greek elections have had a knock on effect on FPL prices and as a result those who have played their wildcards have had little opportunity to raise some much needed extra cash. A couple of weeks back we suggested that the festive period would be a rollercoaster and that has certainly been the case, the average scores over the past three game-weeks have been 47, 61 & 37. Fantasy Football Tips GW19 After an exciting days action on Boxing Day that saw many high scores and an overall average of 61 we must dust ourselves down very quickly, whether that be from over celebrating  high scores and ending up sleeping in the hedges or from simply falling flat on your face in the dirt with the shame of a hit that didn’t pay off. Forget Santa, forget presents, forget family & friends, forget alcohol, Christmas is all about FPL! Actually ignore what I said about forgetting alcohol, you’re going to need it as you attempt to come to terms with Jose et al rotating players for no other reason than because they might get tired! It’s ok if you did, rumour has it Chuck Norris even shed a tear. Not only was GW15 an unmitigated disaster for most it has also meant that GW16 is not going to be a walk in the park as the majority of managers will have to deal with both injuries and suspensions to key players. Whether you decide to sell a particular player or bench them for a week while they serve a suspension is entirely up to you.
