Fantasy Football Tips

The Tips article, which will be released on Thursdays, is where we take a look at which players should be considered for your team, both on a short-term and longer-term basis. While the more obvious football tips selections will, naturally, be included, we will also endeavour to find those hidden bargains and differentials that could set you apart from your rivals and help your performance in your mini-leagues.

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 11

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 11 I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s easier being a Premier League manager as opposed to an FPL manager! Take Liverpool as an example, on Tuesday night against the reigning European champions Real Madrid, Brendan Rodgers decided to rest a number of key players ahead of the weekend’s visit of Chelsea, what a luxury to have!! While up the road in Manchester, everything is A ok despite having won just three games as they are a team in transition. At over £150m it’s a bleedin’ expensive transition! So while the likes of Brendan & Louis have it easy us fantasy managers are faced with weekly decisions which could make or break our season. One advantage that you guys have over the Premier League managers is FF247 and once more we have put our ...[Read More]

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 10

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 10 GW9 was one which a significant proportion of fantasy managers will want to forget in a hurry. The average score was a paltry 38 and when the likes of Green, Skrtel, Eto’o and Austin are amongst the game-weeks highest scorers you know it’s been one of those weeks! The problem with such a game-week is if a player from one of the bigger team scores well while those around him flounder it makes his score appear even better and that was the case in GW9 with Alexis Sanchez, resulting in over 100k transferring the Chilean into their teams at the time of writing. Now we’re certainly not suggesting that Sanchez should be ignored, in fact he’s included in our tips again this week, rather we’re suggesting that some managers are possibly making knee-jerk decisio...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fix – Price Changes

Fantasy Football Fix – Price Changes So, just how accurate are the fantasyfootballfix.com Player Price Changes? Since we launched Fantasy Football Fix over six weeks ago, we have had a phenomenal response from the Fantasy Premier League community, both on the overall concept of our site and the range of features we provide powered by a mathematical algorithm, however we seem to be getting asked one question more and more…. ‘just how accurate are your player price changes?’.

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 9

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 9 GW8 was a somewhat strange game-week, as despite a significant number of players scoring double figures the average score was just 49 points which would suggest that the majority of the players who scored well do not feature in a significant proportion of fantasy teams. There has been quite a lot of talk surrounding template teams of late and the need to break away from such teams. If you are doing well in your mini leagues and you are happy with your overall ranking you may not need to worry about moving away from the template, after all the template teams are typically comprised of players that are scoring well. However, if you are trailing in your mini leagues or are simply not happy with your overall ranking the chances are that you will need to tr...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fix

Fantasy Football Fix – FF247 Blog Welcome to fantasyfootballfix.com, we are a new site created for players of the Fantasy Premier League (FPL), to offer mathematical solutions to everyday problems you face as a Fantasy Manager! [clear] Fantasyfootballfix.com was created after two creative FPL Managers, one a Nuclear Physicist (nerd), and one a Business Consultant (not so clever), decided to answer the age old question: Can a mathematical algorithm beat a human at Fantasy Premier League?.

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 8

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 8 So another enthralling international break has come to a conclusion. Although fans of Scotland, Wales, Ireland & Northern Ireland will surely have enjoyed the games, while English fans caught up on some much needed sleep! Before we move on from international football I should just point out that there is another international break to look forward to following GW11. Anyway, enough about international football, the good news is that fantasy football is back, although if you’re one of the unfortunate managers who are struggling you may not be overly enthused at the idea of yet another poor game-week. So whether you’re currently on a wildcard or simply agonising over how best to utilise your free transfer, don’t worry we’re here to help and below we ...[Read More]

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! To help you decide or just confuse you a bit more, we have asked 3 of our writers to pass judgment on what players you would do well to pick up and what players are better left out of the fray. We hope this is a simple straight forward formula that can assist you in your decision making as we ride out this International Break. I avoided including players like Siggy, Di Maria or Costa as there is really no point. There seems to be overwhelming consensus on these cats. Grab – You need this player on your squad. On the Def/Keeper categories if they select Grab, they will give us a name or two from said team. Eg. Grab De-Gea Avoid – It’s a trap don’t get suckered in. Bore off – If you have him play him, if you don’t have him don’t bother getting him. Really not w...[Read More]

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Game-week 7

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Game-week 7 – Differentials The last two game-weeks have proved rather frustrating for the vast majority of fantasy managers with the average score in each of these weeks being a paltry 36 & 38, although if you managed to pick up a couple of decent scores in these game-weeks you are likely to have made significant advances up the overall rankings as well as in your mini-leagues. Low scoring game-weeks have a tendency to leave some fantasy managers with itchy fingers as they chase those highly addictive points and with big hitters such as Ramsey & Rooney set to miss a number of games the transfer activity is set to go through the roof this week. So whether you are faced with the problems caused by Messrs Ramsey & Rooney or you just need to fre...[Read More]

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Game-week 6 – Differentials

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Game-week 6 – Differentials We probably say this every season, but it really does feel as though it’s taking a long time for things to settle down in this season’s FPL. Take a look at the defences and you’ll see that Southampton, Villa & Burnley have all kept three clean sheets but in all honesty you’re unlikely to have fielded Villa & Burnley defenders in all of the games in which they kept clean sheets. The midfield has proved a little more straightforward but picking forwards has proved a nightmare with Diego Costa the only big hitter to consistently deliver. All this combined is making it difficult for fantasy managers to build a side they are happy with for more than a week! And we’re going to complicate things for you even further as this week...[Read More]

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Game-week 5

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Game-week 5 With the Champions League having kicked off it means we are now into the season of rotation and it started last weekend with many fantasy managers suffering a kick in the teeth as Brendan Rodgers chose to rest Raheem Sterling ahead of the visit of the mighty Ludogorets on Tuesday night. What this goes to prove is that that fantasy football is a squad game and that over the coming weeks and months those cheap bench players we all own are likely to become more important. Slowly but surely we are starting to see patterns develop which should in theory make our decisions much easier to make, but let’s be honest, sometimes the more information the more difficult it is to make a decision! So just to make things ‘easier’ for you we have below outlined a numb...[Read More]

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Game-week 4

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Game-week 4 These international breaks become more and more tedious, particularly as they are now spread out over four nights…good one Michel! Not only are these breaks tedious, but they can also prove detrimental to an FPL squad and at the time of writing, leading FPL players such as Ramsey, Hazard, Costa & Sturridge are all yellow flagged although only time will tell if these injuries are real or fictitious. In recent years this international break has become a popular time to make use of ones wildcard and with all the players who moved on transfer deadline day there will be significant changes to many FPL squads ahead of GW4. So whether you are currently on a wildcard or you are just trying to deal with these annoying ‘international’ injuries we have belo...[Read More]
