Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW1 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s GW1. I was shocked when I realised that this is now the fifth season of our weekly predictions competition. The last few seasons have flown by and that’s largely down to all of you keeping this article alive. We thank you! What you see is what you get here at the H&L offices, consistency is (usually) the name of the game here, your weekly solace from the stress and strain of what can often be a long and arduous season of FPL. Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions The Final Reckoning It’s all over. It’s been an arduous season, it’s had its highs and its lows and it will certainly be one for the history books. I’ll echo what I wrote last week and thank each and every one of you who took part this season. The intention of this competition is as always to serve as light relief from the testing trials and tribulations of FPL, this season it was a testing season on so many fronts, but together we have gotten through it. Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW38 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW38. We head into the final week of what has been an at times bonkers season. How the heck were we meant to predict some of the crazy scores that opened the season? If anyone correctly predicted Villa 7 Liverpool 2 (they didn’t) then I demand this week’s lottery numbers right now thank you very much. Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW’ 35, 36 & 37 Well, what a time for social media to go into a boycott! This weekend saw United fans storm the pitch and cause one of the biggest fixtures in football to be postponed. Whether you agree with the actions of the supporters or you don’t I think we can all agree it screwed up our FPL teams! It also messed up H&L with one fixture being removed. That one fixture could have changed the results and the destination of our winners prize but we will now never know! Elsewhere we saw Spurs smash 4-0 past Sheffield, City, Chelsea and Arsenal all win by a 2-0 score line and West Brom slip closer to relegation after their 1-1 draw with Wolves. Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW34 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW34. As promised, we have two sets of results to give you this week. The less said about the GW33 results the better, but let’s just say I scored a solitary point, and the overall winning scores (as you will see below were low). Looking back at the results there don’t seem to be too many that were that unusual, Burnley’s 0-4 victory the standout that nobody could have predicted. On to the winners! Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW32 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW32. Next week will be a long and drawn-out game week lasting pretty much the full week. Great for those who like their daily football fix drip-fed to them, but for FPL managers (and we’re all still those right?) it will feel like death by 1000 cuts, only to realise you did just fine in the end. Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW31 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW31. GW30 started in an unlikely fashion. Few expected a West Brom win at Stamford bridge and not surprisingly not a single person correctly predicted the 2-5 scoreline. Thankfully there were a fair few run-of-the-mill results that meant it took 14pts to take the number one position this week. Otieno was one of only two of you to correctly pick Pulisic as the first goalscorer and it was this that pushed his score to the aforementioned 14pts and seal the top spot. Nice. Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW30 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW30. Not many games and not many points. Or at least that’s how it was for yours truly with a grand total of zero points! Thankfully there are plenty of you with far better skills when it comes to predicting the results of football matches, which is probably why I’m the bookie’s favourite customer. Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW29 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW29. A few weeks back I lamented non-stop football with kick-off times spread over the course of an entire week. Well, I’m not sure what is worse, that, or what we have this week. This week the fixtures span 3 days but there are only 4 of the buggers. Be careful what you wish for and all that! A score of 12pts is often enough to take the prize.
