Harry and Lloyd’s 2018/19 Season Wrap Up and European Final Predictions Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s 2018/19 Season Wrap Up and European Final Predictions. Well this past weekend finally saw the culmination to what has been a truly amazing title race as Liverpool’s 2-0 win was not enough to overtake City as they thumped four past Brighton in a 4-1 win which then saw Chris Houghton sacked for reasons beyond the sane person. I’m sure we will all join in congrats to City’s three fans 😉 While all eyes were on the two best teams in the North of England, the neighbours had a mixed bag with Everton getting a decent draw against Spurs and United losing 2-0 to Cardiff… 2-0… to a relegated team… have the wheels fallen off yet? There was a very tasty lo...[Read More]
Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW38 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW38. The final game-week of the FPL season is finally here, bringing to a close another season of predictions here at Harry and Lloyd’s. What started as a way to pass the time in a long winter game-week last season, has turned into a fully functioning ongoing affair with over 100 participants and we salute each and every one of you! We head into ‘Championship Sunday’ with the majority of the Premier league’s key battles already decided, but who would bet against one final twist in what’s been quite a week for football with season-defining moments from Manchester City, Liverpool and now Tottenham in the last 3 days! Over here, the chances of last-minute drama seem unlikely....[Read More]
Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW37 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW37. Cutting straight to the chase last week’s winner was SherLock who took the prize of the coveted FF247 T-shirt with 13 points. Sweetbluetoffee, Red Robbo and Eresh were the nearly boys and runners up with 12 points. Nobody was clever enough to predict Keita would open the scoring so no 1st goal scorer points were awarded this week. And so; Many Congratulations to SherLock. Please email us here; contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to claim your prize. THIS WEEK’S COMPETITION… Scoring couldn’t be simpler: Correct Score = 3 points Correct result = 1 point Correct First Goalscorer of the game-week = 5pts (Points are awarded on an ‘either/or’ basis, so you’ll either score 3 points for a C...[Read More]
Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW36 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW36. A lot of games should theoretically mean a high scoring game-week but just 13pts was enough to win so I can only presume that we had a lot of unexpected results this week. Pick of those unexpected results was Palace’s 2-3 victory at the Emirates and then just days later the Gunners slumped to their second defeat of the GW away to Wolves. Ouch. Like Arsenal, Manchester United also suffered back-to-back defeats, the 0-2 at home to City was expected, the 4-0 away to Everton maybe not so much. Onto the winners. I mentioned that it took just 13pts to take victory this GW but someone still had to do it. That person was Red Robbo, pipping League leader DenPerryDidIt, The Padster, Sky blue stan, Al...[Read More]
Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW35 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW35. We are coming into the end of the season now and all the games mean something! Cardiff got some valuable points in their bid for survival and have more chances as one of the many teams in this week’s massive DGW. If you are chasing ML glory, OR rank or vying for a place at the top of our illustrious competition then this week is extremely important. We need all sorts of points from our players and also our predictions. Last weeks predictions was much like the race for the Premier League as we had lots of twists and turns. It was a three-way tie for first as Cookie, Zed Lepellin and DMC (he cheated!) all got 12 points. Cookie managed to nick the win by coming from behind with his correct pred...[Read More]
Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW34 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW34. Cutting straight to the chase Zed Leppelin is our winner this week with (a lowly!) 9 pts. Mahelmy, Offalymartin and Silvers came close with 7 each in what was seemingly a difficult to predict week. Nobody nailed the 1st goalscorer (not even Zed himself who is a Saints fan). Things are heating up at the top with Mahelmy overlapping Smash for 2nd spot while all in the top 5 are looking to push it to the end. On a side note Raz is now on 19 pts and has left the last column of the table already, more shame on those below him as he’s only played twice! And so; Many Congratulations to our winner Zed Leppelin. Please email us on contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to claim your prize. THIS WEEK’...[Read More]
Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW33 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW33. The most notable result in ‘part 1’ of DGW32 was Southampton’s 0-1 victory over Brighton, in that it was the only result not to be either a 2-0 or 2-1 win; not a draw in sight. Six matches ending 2-0, three 2-1; if you’re conservative (or in Elle’s case lazy!) in your predictions then you’ll be quids in. Part 2 began in style with Watford putting 4 past the hapless Fulham and then it was back to 2-1 and 2-0’s, only Chelsea (3-0) mixing things up a little. How very exciting. Gear and our own Smash topped the scoring this week with a massive 20pts, but it was Gear who ultimately triumphed with his 6th minute FGS trumping Smash’s 9th-minute effort. GP took second with a mighty close 19pts, with a who...[Read More]
Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW32 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW32. Not only can we say good-bye to the blanks of GW31 but we can look forward to the first major double gameweek of the season! As I say, GW31 saw only five matches but there was plenty of goals for us to feast our eyes on with only one clean sheet for Everton of all teams, in their 2-0 win over Chelsea. West Ham and Huddersfield played out a seven goal thriller as the Hammers came back and snatched the win at the death in a 4-3 win in London. Liverpool survived a scare thanks to a penalty from the funniest man on social media, James Milner. As expected it was a low scoring week. 7 points was enough to secure top-spot and Ivan was the one to do it. Next up it was a four-way tie for second-place betwe...[Read More]
Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW31 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW31. Looking over some of the scorelines from GW30 it’s a surprise anyone scored any points. It started off in a strange fashion with an unlikely 1-2 victory for Brighton over Palace and it just got stranger from there on in. Newcastle came back from 0-2 down to claim an unexpected 3-2 victory, whilst down on the South Coast, Southampton claimed a surprise win over a Spurs side who look in serious danger of relinquishing their top-four status to rivals Arsenal. Sunday was much the same; whilst a Liverpool win was widely predicted few if any would have gone for 4-2. Wolves were just minutes away from a memorable victory at Stamford Bridge before Eden Hazard had his say, and in the final match of t...[Read More]
Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW30 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW30. This week saw a bit more normalcy return to the Premier League with wins for City, Chelsea and United. Spurs and Arsenal played out a rather controversial North London Derby and Liverpool and Everton bored the head off everyone in the Merseyside Derby. Well that is all behind us now and we move on to the next round of fixtures. This week’s winner was Goldilocks with 16 points and that was without the first goalscorer. In 2nd place was Padster yet again who was the only one to predict Ramsey as the FGS so well done on that but with 14 points came up just short. It was a three-way tie for 3rd with Smash, JamieMc and Albox all getting a respectable 13 points. And so; Many Congratulations to Gol...[Read More]
Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW29 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW29. What a cracker GW28 was! Some fantastic goals (Mané, Schär… Trippier!) and some fantastic results. Liverpool showed us they mean business in their 5-0 walloping of Watford, Everton put 3 past a usually strong at home Cardiff and Arsenal matched Liverpool with 5 goals of their own, although failed once again to keep a clean sheet: muppets. My brother from another mother MattX scored a healthy 12pts this week, thanks in no small part to being the only one to correctly predict Demarai Gray as the first goal-scorer. Those 12pts were enough to seal top-spot, seeing off runners up Igy4, Offalymartin, Loud Atlas and Eresh who all came close with 11pts. There’s no change at the top of the tabl...[Read More]
Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW28 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW28. Thank goodness GW27 has finished! That was a disaster of a weekend and it was terribly boring too. The high scorers of the weekend were Watford with their 1-5 win over Cardiff, and Crystal Palace who won 1-4 against Leicester, getting Claude Puel sacked and Old Woy breaking a record for, well… being old! The rest of the weekend was pretty bland with Liverpool and Man United players doing their best impressions of the Arsenal team and playing out a 0-0 borefest. The Prem was boring and so was the Carabao Cup but we got some excitement in the dying seconds of this weekend’s football as a certain Blue refused to leave the pitch much to the bemusement of everyone watching! This low scoring...[Read More]
