Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW33

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW33 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW33. The most notable result in ‘part 1’ of DGW32 was Southampton’s 0-1 victory over Brighton, in that it was the only result not to be either a 2-0 or 2-1 win; not a draw in sight. Six matches ending 2-0, three 2-1; if you’re conservative (or in Elle’s case lazy!) in your predictions then you’ll be quids in. Part 2 began in style with Watford putting 4 past the hapless Fulham and then it was back to 2-1 and 2-0’s, only Chelsea (3-0) mixing things up a little. How very exciting. Gear and our own Smash topped the scoring this week with a massive 20pts, but it was Gear who ultimately triumphed with his 6th minute FGS trumping Smash’s 9th-minute effort. GP took second with a mighty close 19pts, with a who...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW32

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW32 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW32. Not only can we say good-bye to the blanks of GW31 but we can look forward to the first major double gameweek of the season! As I say, GW31 saw only five matches but there was plenty of goals for us to feast our eyes on with only one clean sheet for Everton of all teams, in their 2-0 win over Chelsea. West Ham and Huddersfield played out a seven goal thriller as the Hammers came back and snatched the win at the death in a 4-3 win in London. Liverpool survived a scare thanks to a penalty from the funniest man on social media, James Milner. As expected it was a low scoring week. 7 points was enough to secure top-spot and Ivan was the one to do it. Next up it was a four-way tie for second-place betwe...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW31

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW31 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW31. Looking over some of the scorelines from GW30 it’s a surprise anyone scored any points. It started off in a strange fashion with an unlikely 1-2 victory for Brighton over Palace and it just got stranger from there on in. Newcastle came back from 0-2 down to claim an unexpected 3-2 victory, whilst down on the South Coast, Southampton claimed a surprise win over a Spurs side who look in serious danger of relinquishing their top-four status to rivals Arsenal. Sunday was much the same; whilst a Liverpool win was widely predicted few if any would have gone for 4-2. Wolves were just minutes away from a memorable victory at Stamford Bridge before Eden Hazard had his say, and in the final match of t...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW30

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW30 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW30. This week saw a bit more normalcy return to the Premier League with wins for City, Chelsea and United. Spurs and Arsenal played out a rather controversial North London Derby and Liverpool and Everton bored the head off everyone in the Merseyside Derby. Well that is all behind us now and we move on to the next round of fixtures. This week’s winner was Goldilocks with 16 points and that was without the first goalscorer. In 2nd place was Padster yet again who was the only one to predict Ramsey as the FGS so well done on that but with 14 points came up just short. It was a three-way tie for 3rd with Smash, JamieMc and Albox all getting a respectable 13 points. And so; Many Congratulations to Gol...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW29

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW29 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW29. What a cracker GW28 was! Some fantastic goals (Mané, Schär… Trippier!) and some fantastic results. Liverpool showed us they mean business in their 5-0 walloping of Watford, Everton put 3 past a usually strong at home Cardiff and Arsenal matched Liverpool with 5 goals of their own, although failed once again to keep a clean sheet: muppets. My brother from another mother MattX scored a healthy 12pts this week, thanks in no small part to being the only one to correctly predict Demarai Gray as the first goal-scorer. Those 12pts were enough to seal top-spot, seeing off runners up Igy4, Offalymartin, Loud Atlas and Eresh who all came close with 11pts. There’s no change at the top of the tabl...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW28

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW28 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW28. Thank goodness GW27 has finished! That was a disaster of a weekend and it was terribly boring too. The high scorers of the weekend were Watford with their 1-5 win over Cardiff, and Crystal Palace who won 1-4 against Leicester, getting Claude Puel sacked and Old Woy breaking a record for, well… being old! The rest of the weekend was pretty bland with Liverpool and Man United players doing their best impressions of the Arsenal team and playing out a 0-0 borefest. The Prem was boring and so was the Carabao Cup but we got some excitement in the dying seconds of this weekend’s football as a certain Blue refused to leave the pitch much to the bemusement of everyone watching! This low scoring...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW27

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW27 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW27. I hope you’re all enjoying this short respite from all things FPL. I used to hate the breaks, be it internationals or cups, these days I relish them; no pressure, no stress. I don’t even have to worry about Newcastle in the cup; you have to learn to see the positives in any situation. Looking back over the GW26 scores, it’s not surprising that it was a high-scoring week; predictable wins, with predictable score-lines. At least for most teams. Whilst a win for Manchester City seemed a given, few could have seen them hit Chelsea for 6, least of all Chelsea. Elsewhere it was business as usual; Newcastle throw away a lead deep into injury time? Check. Liverpool and Manchester United ...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW26

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW26 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW26. This week was a big one for lots of teams and FPL managers alike. We saw Liverpool drop to second for the first time since the 16th of December after drawing 1-1 with West Ham and Man City took advantage of their two games with a win over Everton last night pushing them to top spot. The lower part of the table didn’t change too much, with bore draws or losses for the lower teams. Over at H&L HQ (really it’s just Rosco’s bathroom while he’s showering his dogs), we saw lots of points earned by all you FF247 managers. The winner this week was decided on a tie break with Kushan Samararatne winning. Kushan and Igy both had a brilliant 18 points but Kushan’s 24th min p...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW25

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW25 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW25. Its been a dramatic few days over here at Harry and Lloyd’s, but we can announce that on deadline day we pushed through a deal and are happy to announce that site regular and contributor DMC has agreed to join the H&L team for an undisclosed fee and has signed a 10-year deal. Sometimes strange things happen in life, Newcastle beating Man City would be one such example, another example would be someone actually putting their name forward to not only count up all the predictions each game-week, but to then put them in a shiny new ‘updated weekly’ league table. Well, both of those things happened this week. When DMC (who must be a glutton for punishment) put his name forward fo...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW24

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW24 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW24. This week’s results were notable in that there were not one but two 4-3 scorelines. As a Newcastle fan, I’m not fond of 4-3 results. It feels like every season they trot out the famous 4-3 Liverpool v Newcastle games from back when I was a much younger man, hailed as some of the greatest games in Premier League history. Well, I  can tell you there was nothing great about those games, they were soul destroying. So Crystal Palace and in particular Leicester fans; you have my sympathies. The other notable result last game-week? Newcastle (yes this is all about me) scoring 3 at home and keeping a clean sheet, I know, I know even I had to do a double take and I was there. This weeks winner ...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW23

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW23 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW23. It was a low scoring game-week with no more than two goals scored by any team over the Saturday and Sunday fixtures. If you went with Elle’s tactic of simply saying ‘2-1 for everyone else’ you’d probably have done fairly well; lazy? Yes, but clearly not a bad tactic. There were no real standout results this weekend, maybe Southampton’s 1-2 win away to Leicester at a push, and perhaps City would have been expected to score more, what with Wolves playing for most of their Monday night game down to ten men. Anywho, I know nobody reads this so let’s get to last weeks big winners; 11 points was all it took to claim top spot, three of you did just that. MDB, Gavy and ...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW22

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW22 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW22. There have clearely been a lot of fixtures in the last few weeks, and I’ll be honest here I’ve forgotten half the scores, and believe me I’ve watched a lot of football over the festivities. In GW18 the standout results were, of course, Palace picking up all 3 points at the Etihad and a 1-5 win for Manchester United and new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær. In GW19 City succumbed to yet another defeat whilst their rivals in red continued a winning streak which ran throughout the Christmas fixtures, almost. The big shock in GW20 had to be that late Wolves show to claim a memorable victory away to Spurs, I can confidently say nobody aw that coming. GW21 brought a close to the festive fix...[Read More]
