FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 11

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 11 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 11 Not quite sure who is picking these Friday night games but it looks like another uninspiring one, with all due respect to each team, as Brentford host Brighton to ‘get us going’ this week. In fact our TV gurus are at it again immediately on Saturday with Leicester and Palace at 12.30pm. Jeff himself will be bored stiff at 3pm with Fulham & Bournemouth and Wolves v Forest. The whole lot feels like some sick audition for Championship places next season. Whether Spurs v Everton in the late TV game will be much better remains to be seen. Maybe the TV guy played H&L this week and had 1-1 down as his treble. Sunday carries the most games not on gamstop UK this week with 5, although rather frustrating...[Read More]

FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 11

FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 11 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 11 “Have we still got our wildcard?” We have had 2 free transfers in our pocket since Moses left Manchester and every week in the chat someone will say, “remember we have the wildcard to play some time?” That day always seems to be another day because by and large, we’re doing OK. There’s also that striking green banner on the screenshot I sent which says “PLAY WILDCARD” – that’s another litlle clue. By now you’ll have realised that we are playfully digging out one of our own – a man who offers the impression that he doesn’t know which day of the week it is, a man who despite this does really well a...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 11

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 11 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 11 Whilst the Captains article is on a much-deserved holiday at the moment – booked online by Erling Halland in one of the few times he wasn’t finding the back of the net – we have adapted the Tips article to our team of the week. In case you missed last week’s article, what we are going to do for now is ask our writers to construct a ‘Best 11’, with fine details like budget slightly put to one side – though, of course, there are plenty of nicely-priced options in all positions at the moment. Particularly this week. Just like the Captains article used to rate our writers’ predictive performances, let’s take a quick look at how last week’s commentators fared: Swirly: Fabianski (2), Trippier (7), James (1), Perisic (...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW11

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW11 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW11 It was a high-scoring game week with no less than 28 of you netting a double-digit score. Usually, a score of 13pts would be enough to take the top-spot or at least get on the podium, not the case this week sadly for the 5 managers who managed that score. Or indeed the 3 who scored 14pts. Donmourinho and Geobfree both scored 15pts and that was still only good enough for the bronze down in third place. Jon9898 came the closest to this week’s winner with 16pts just 1 point shy of success, however, it was Igy4 with a whopping 17pt haul who took this week’s winner’s crown. All these high scores and yet only one manager managed to correctly call this week’s first goal scorer, a big...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 10

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 10 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 10 A strange old GW this one, certainly in terms of timings. For starters Saturday is odd as we begin at 3pm, and we have 4 of those for Jeff, with Bournemouth hosting Leicester, Wolves going to Chelsea, Man City most likely putting the finishing touches to Ralph the Saint’s coffin and Newcastle welcoming Bournemouth. Brighton and Spurs see out a fleetingly fast Saturday at 5.30pm. Sunday is more of a marathon with essentially 7 hours of football on offer if you can stomach it. There are 2 at 2pm with Palace v Leeds and West Ham v Fulham. The Super Sunday slot is filled by Arsenal & Liverpool at 4.30pm. The strange timings see us continue beyond our usual threshold though with Everton hosting Man United at 7...[Read More]

FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 10

FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 10 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 10 For many FPL managers, Gameweek 9 was the turning point where scores of over 100 saw huge rank rises. For others, it was a grim affair, especially those who went against captain favourite Haaland. We landed somewhere in the middle. We captained the right player (Haaland – who else?) and he netted over half our points (46 from 87). We got fortunate with Trippier’s 8pts following his substitution (prior to Newcastle conceding) and we backed the right 4th defender in Neco because despite his -1pt return, it was better than the -2pt that Dalot got stuck on our bench. You have to celebrate the small wins right? The reason for all those 100+ point returns was of cour...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 10

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 10 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 10 Haaland + 10 others… We have been a bit slow getting any of our regular articles out this week, and for that we apologise, but we have been having a bit of a rethink on what content we provide on a weekly basis. The sole reason for this slight pause for thought is one Mr Erling Haaland. Essentially he has made our Captain Picks article pretty much redundant. There really is no point at this stage putting out an article that suggests you captain anyone else. That said, it is not as if that is your main weekly decision anymore and so we have decided to adapt our Tips article a little bit. What we are going to do for now is ask our writers to construct a ‘Best 11’, solely for the game-week ahead. ...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW10

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW10 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW10. We finally got back to some form of normalcy this week with all teams playing. That’s right for the first time since GW6, every team had a match! We were treated to some brilliant scorelines this week with 36 goals scored across the ten fixtures. Liverpool stumbled yet again to a 3-3 draw with Brighton, Arsenal proved London is red with a 3-1 win over Spurs, Leicester and Newcastle both smashed four goals past their opponents, Forest and Fulham. This weekend belonged to City though who might as well just be crowned champions right now after Foden and Haaland both got hattricks with the Norwegian also getting two assists in their 6-3 demolition over town rivals, Man United. Oh...[Read More]

The Main Reasons Why Fantasy Football Continues To Grow In Popularity

The Main Reasons Why Fantasy Football Continues To Grow In Popularity Fantasy sports have made waves throughout the world, as the entire industry is worth about $7.2 billion. However, the far most popular fantasy sport is fantasy football with millions of people enjoying the gameplay. But even though fantasy sport is popular, they can make us wonder why it continues to grow in popularity. Therefore, we have the main reasons why this fantasy sport continues to gain worldwide attention. The Game That Keeps Giving There are many fun and interesting aspects of playing fantasy football. However, the game is meant to make the player become the football manager, which will lead an entire football team, preferably some of the more well-known, popular teams. The game allows the user to play with th...[Read More]

FPL Captain Picks For Gameweek 16

FPL Captain Picks For Gameweek 16 This is the final round of fixtures before the World Cup, and you could have fun rolling the dice on your FPL Captain Picks. City kick-off game week 16 at lunchtime on Saturday, and whilst logic will say to go with Erling Haaland, an ongoing foot problem, combined with the game kicking off first, is enough to put me off, and I’ll be considering another asset, who has the potential to perform better. But first… Erling Haaland I don’t want to dwell too much on why the Premier League’s top goal scorer should wear the armband this weekend. Erling Haaland is the obvious pick, although I urge slight caution as Pep admits his striker is ‘still not perfect’ despite his recent improvement. The 22-year-old has averaged 8.2 FPL points si...[Read More]

FPL Captain Picks For Gameweek 15

FPL Captain Picks For Gameweek 15 Erling Haaland or Kevin de Bruyne These are the sort of fixtures FPL managers dream about as Fulham arrive at The Etihad. The Lilywhites average 1.7 goals against this season, and the City attack is ticking boxes. However, the captaincy decision presents its own problems with doubts *at the time of writing* on the availability of Erling Haaland. Now, while I expect the striker to be involved, the extent of his participation will be determined, ultimately, by how he trains over the coming days. So, looking at the projected data, both players occupy the top two positions for predicted points, with De Bruyne just edging out his teammate. However, the Premier League’s top goalscorer has a higher 86 per cent chance of any return compared to the Belgian...[Read More]

FPL Captain Picks For Gameweek 14

FPL Captain Picks For Gameweek 14 Mo Salah This is the last chance saloon for the Egyptian King, who has struggled as much as his Liverpool teammates. And for that reason, it may seem odd to make Mo my top differential pick given the uncertainty around the Reds. Last weekend’s performance at Nottingham Forest was about as bad as it gets, hugely frustrating and summing up their season perfectly. However, the data still backs this pick and Salah is projected to have a terrific game week. His numbers place him second amongst all players for predicted points, with a massive 56 per cent chance of a goal and a 70 per cent chance of any attacking return. The odds are also stacked in favour of Liverpool (75%), suggesting they should return to winning ways with a comfortable victory. You can read t...[Read More]
