Euro 2016 Fantasy Football Live Match Chat – The Knockout Phase
Just as the UK votes on a possible Brexit, the group stages at Euro 2016 have been completed with some unfortunates already on their way home, while all the Home Nations secured to Remain for a while longer as England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland all qualified for the round of 16. You will notice a few changes to the fantasy game, so please allow us to run you through them so you are fully up-to-speed.
Price changes – some players price has increased, but only by a minimal amount it would appear. For example Dimitri Payet’s price has risen from 8.0mln to 8.1mln!! So, nothing to get too worried about.
As a result, your budget has increased by 5mln to 105mln, which not only reflects the price changes but also the fact that most of the smaller teams and cheaper players are no longer available due to them being knocked out, hence there are less budget options available.
Transfers – for this round you have an unlimited amount of transfers. For the quarter-finals you will have 4 free transfers, for the semi-finals you will have 6 free transfers and for the final you will have 6 free transfers.
Team personnel – you can now select four players from a single team for the round of 16, followed by five players for the quarter-finals, six for the semi-finals and eight for the final.

Do we think Alli is nailed?
He’ll be back for this one I’m pretty sure. As will Kane, Rooney, Walker and Rose. Basically back to the original team but without Sterling and probably Vardy in his place. Maybe Sturridge.
Cheers mate, I’m keeping Alli then, maybe. He seems decent value for money and could work well as a last gameday secret weapon if needed. Don’t like the Italy – Spain game at all; I think it will be tigh and the winner faces germany, so I’m not too heavy on these teams. Do you see anyone with enough potential going forward to buckle on 4 of them? France?
Oh hello! Look who joined the Macau league. #stalker. You live nowhere near Macau you bloody cheat
How’s Macau treating you now Init?
I imagine you might find some migrating there for real now!
You can all bugger off, we’ve just had the Mexicans build a wall
Ok got the team i want now, thanks for the advice – no colour co-ordination this time unfortunately 😉
Mad, does this mean you trust morata with the armand against Italy on the final day, if needed? I’m struggling to find decent capo material for that last day. Looking at either Iniesta/Silva or Alli.
The capo spread isn’t great this round. Pretty much landed on Days 1 and 2 also. I’m tempted to spread to 3 just in case but right now I’m happy with the team and I think I’ll stick with the 2 main days and just have to capo an England defender on Day 3 if the first two don’t land.
Yep pretty sold on days 1 and 2 too. No love for a Kane showing up at international level punt? I know it takes a forward spot for someone not in form but this is Iceland here. I mean Iceland FFS!
lorris n hart, they will clash soon if they progress.
i might prefer fabianski, rui, henessey, or courts instead of one of them.
Suggestions?
Also Perisic or Ramsey who should I have?
Hi Snookie,,
Perisic AND Ramsey and Fabregas out for me mate.
Obviously play McGovern first.
Yaa Italy Spain is going to be tight
Morning all
Morning Silvers, make the most of that flag mate, as it won’t be used for too much longer!
Come on now Cookie no sour grapes , it was very close & that’s all I’ll say on the matter , as I’m sure we have a wide range of members on this site , so have to be diplomatic 😉
Not sour grapes at all Silvers – you can prob take the blue out of the flag when the Scots get their re-vote.
We want the Scots on board with us I actually thought the Scottish referendum was a once a once in a life time vote ?
No sir – they will likely call for a re-vote now that the UK has voted out. Scotland massively voted in. We may want the Scots with us, but it’s whether they want to be with us, out of the EU.
Can we replace it with yellow, reckon that’d look pretty snazzy.
This all plays into Scotland’s hands perfectly now. They voted unanimously to remain. So now they will push for their independence vote again. Leave us and rejoin the EU. What a mess!
Morning men,
Second independence referendum is this Thursday!
You have to laugh – a complete dog’s breakfast.
Morning GP,
and the third will be Friday week ?!!
Sturgeon’s tactic
Best of three
Best of five
Best of seven
etc.
Seems sensible enough if you can get away with it
Ok he’s my first attempt please RMT
Looks decent Silvers, keep an eye on Rami for he missed training yesterday mate.
Cant find any info on Rami injury this is a concern as I haven’t the cash for another French def
I’m not lying
I know its a worry feel France should keep a clean sht but you never know
I was actually considering going without a French defender, given that they haven’t looked great at the back coupled with the spirit of the Irish.
Here you go Silvers
