Euro 2016 Fantasy Football Live Match Chat – The Knockout Phase

Euro 2016 Fantasy FootballJust as the UK votes on a possible Brexit, the group stages at Euro 2016 have been completed with some unfortunates already on their way home, while all the Home Nations secured to Remain for a while longer as England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland all qualified for the round of 16. You will notice a few changes to the fantasy game, so please allow us to run you through them so you are fully up-to-speed.
Price changes – some players price has increased, but only by a minimal amount it would appear. For example Dimitri Payet’s price has risen from 8.0mln to 8.1mln!! So, nothing to get too worried about.
As a result, your budget has increased by 5mln to 105mln, which not only reflects the price changes but also the fact that most of the smaller teams and cheaper players are no longer available due to them being knocked out, hence there are less budget options available.

Transfers – for this round you have an unlimited amount of transfers. For the quarter-finals you will have 4 free transfers, for the semi-finals you will have 6 free transfers and for the final you will have 6 free transfers.

Team personnel – you can now select four players from a single team for the round of 16, followed by five players for the quarter-finals, six for the semi-finals and eight for the final.

      Silvers says:

Looks good Mattx , not sure Sturridge will start , quite a well balanced team also thk I would change Sommer feel Pol will score & maybe Hart or Dier , you have gone 3 defensive players on last match day you might just need someone for the armband 😉

      • MattX says:

Cheers Silvers smile who do you think I should replace them with? Wasn’t sure about Hart, Sommer could become Fabiniski? Yeah I didn’t look at the fixture days. I’m just getting over surgery right now so not going into too much detail.

        • Silvers says:

Hey Matt hope your ok mate maybe Fab & Hart will work , what you going to do with Stur ?

        • MattX says:

Cheers Silvers. Should be good in a few days but will miss the pub on Sunday sad

I could do Sturridge to Milik and then Blaszczykowski to Alli which leaves me a Mil to upgrade Dier??

If you don’t want us, than leave. You ungreatful bastard. :p

On a positive note, the Brexit moves make it so that you can’t take our youth players from Ajax/PSV/Feyenoord that are younger than 18 years old. Which I am really happy about, good for the Dutch football. The exception rule was only there for EU countries.

:finger: Chelski, City, Arsenal, United. laugh

He’s back! laugh Good to see you Raz, hope you’re well. How’s Holland doing in the comp so far? :p For the record I voted to stay in.

      MattX says:

RAZ!!! He’s back folks smile How’s all with you Raz? I know you said you wouldn’t be watching the Euros because your beloved Dutch didn’t get in but I’m sure you have been supporting someone? laugh

      • Raziel says:

Maybe I’ll watch the final. 😉

Tried a few games and Spain was good for like 45 minutes?

Small countries are doing well, considering the material they have. From a neutral point of view and also not playing fantasy, it is boring. :p

Now I know what it feels like to be Luxembourg. ^^

Ps. Watched the last 10 minutes of a few games, which is usually the best part. 😛 I am supporting the Brittish teams and Iceland. None will make it though. England has a great team but a terrible coach, the other countries have better coaches but no real good material to work with, just hard workers (which I like). With the setup of the competition, I think Belgium or Portugal could steal a win, they have a super easy schedule with no Germany, Italy, Spain, France. Third spots going through sort of messes up everything.

        • MattX says:

Yeah I agree with you there the weaker teams are the better ones. I think Hungary have been the best team in the tournament so far.

Yeah the British teams have exceeded expectations apart from England who just about got there smile I think Wales have a decent chance of making the semis as they have the easy side of the draw. Right now I’m routing for Ireland to get revenge over the French and play England in the quaters!!
