Euro 2016 Fantasy Football Live Match Chat – The Knockout Phase
Just as the UK votes on a possible Brexit, the group stages at Euro 2016 have been completed with some unfortunates already on their way home, while all the Home Nations secured to Remain for a while longer as England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland all qualified for the round of 16. You will notice a few changes to the fantasy game, so please allow us to run you through them so you are fully up-to-speed.
Price changes – some players price has increased, but only by a minimal amount it would appear. For example Dimitri Payet’s price has risen from 8.0mln to 8.1mln!! So, nothing to get too worried about.
As a result, your budget has increased by 5mln to 105mln, which not only reflects the price changes but also the fact that most of the smaller teams and cheaper players are no longer available due to them being knocked out, hence there are less budget options available.
Transfers – for this round you have an unlimited amount of transfers. For the quarter-finals you will have 4 free transfers, for the semi-finals you will have 6 free transfers and for the final you will have 6 free transfers.
Team personnel – you can now select four players from a single team for the round of 16, followed by five players for the quarter-finals, six for the semi-finals and eight for the final.

Lukaku or Giroud already have KDB & Payet
Thought you’d be looking at Kane, Vardy, Rooney or Sturridge :hippo:
Already done that & how did that turn out :smiling:
Rashford then? 😉
Seriously, Lukaku or Giroud, urgh what a decision. France have more goals in them you would think, but I couldn’t advise one over the other with any confidence mate.
How’s this team look? Honestly just stick down some names
Looks good Mattx , not sure Sturridge will start , quite a well balanced team also thk I would change Sommer feel Pol will score & maybe Hart or Dier , you have gone 3 defensive players on last match day you might just need someone for the armband 😉
Cheers Silvers who do you think I should replace them with? Wasn’t sure about Hart, Sommer could become Fabiniski? Yeah I didn’t look at the fixture days. I’m just getting over surgery right now so not going into too much detail.
Hey Matt hope your ok mate maybe Fab & Hart will work , what you going to do with Stur ?
Cheers Silvers. Should be good in a few days but will miss the pub on Sunday
I could do Sturridge to Milik and then Blaszczykowski to Alli which leaves me a Mil to upgrade Dier??

First effort. What say you good people?
Having been a fellow benitter from Ronaldo last round, I contemplated for a while whether to include him or not. i chose to dump him which allowed Hazard in midfield – apart from that it’s pretty similar to mine and I like it.
Thank you. Yes I contemplated it also. Who did you pick instead? Morata or another last day captain option is probably the wise move.
I currently have Milik, Lukaku and Bale, with Giacc, Ali and Walker for Day 3. Don’t see a load of value in Day 3 to be honest so didn’t see the point in chasing something I don’t think is there.
From a fantasy perspective it probably doesn’t make sense in this system to have 20% of your budget tied in 66% of your forwards but ronnie and bale do present good chances of scoring big and thus not needing to be subbed.
I’m contemplating both with giroud as back up. No striker for the third day, but nobody stands out anyway.
Well I don’t either really, as you can see from the lack of any attackers on that day.
Yep I like that front three and am actually tempted to get Luk In there instead of Giroud but I already have meunier and KDB/Haz but not sure their worth to treble on?
Init I like the team I thk there will be goals in the Croat v Port game so Ron could work again , don’t thk there will be much change in match day 3 good team 😉
If you don’t want us, than leave. You ungreatful bastard. :p
On a positive note, the Brexit moves make it so that you can’t take our youth players from Ajax/PSV/Feyenoord that are younger than 18 years old. Which I am really happy about, good for the Dutch football. The exception rule was only there for EU countries.
:finger: Chelski, City, Arsenal, United.
He’s back! Good to see you Raz, hope you’re well. How’s Holland doing in the comp so far? :p For the record I voted to stay in.
Shrugs, the football we played and got scolded for a few years back now is being played by every single country in Europe. Happy for the UK countries but the level is dreadful.
Of course we want you Raz 😉
We just want Scotland. 😉
Chicken :smiling:
oi oi Raziel!! How are you mate?? Hope summer is treating you well.
Not summer yet, ungreatful bastards. :p
Brexit my ass. 😉
But how are you Cookie?
Hahaha oh Raz – it’s summer here for sure. I’m not ungrateful mate, but we best not get into it – can’t be talking too much politics on here, especially today.
Apart from current events I’m ok ta fella, how’s the health? And the cat? I’m sorried about your cat.
RAZ!!! He’s back folks How’s all with you Raz? I know you said you wouldn’t be watching the Euros because your beloved Dutch didn’t get in but I’m sure you have been supporting someone?
Maybe I’ll watch the final. 😉
Tried a few games and Spain was good for like 45 minutes?
Small countries are doing well, considering the material they have. From a neutral point of view and also not playing fantasy, it is boring. :p
Now I know what it feels like to be Luxembourg. ^^
Ps. Watched the last 10 minutes of a few games, which is usually the best part. 😛 I am supporting the Brittish teams and Iceland. None will make it though. England has a great team but a terrible coach, the other countries have better coaches but no real good material to work with, just hard workers (which I like). With the setup of the competition, I think Belgium or Portugal could steal a win, they have a super easy schedule with no Germany, Italy, Spain, France. Third spots going through sort of messes up everything.
Yeah I agree with you there the weaker teams are the better ones. I think Hungary have been the best team in the tournament so far.
Yeah the British teams have exceeded expectations apart from England who just about got there I think Wales have a decent chance of making the semis as they have the easy side of the draw. Right now I’m routing for Ireland to get revenge over the French and play England in the quaters!!
Bale Ronnie or PeriPeri for cappo Saturday? Leaning towards PeriPeri he’s looked dangerous and Croatia have impressed!
Peri he’s just been getting better as the games go on.
Agreed cheers!
I can’t advise here, I’m Portugal bias! If Croatia was not playing against us, he’d be in my team surely. Not sure I’d capo him ahead of bale against N. Ireland. That would depend on who would croatia be playing, if it makes sense.
A very fair point… Just looking at Bale in the other matches and free kicks aside he’s looked terrible! (didnt see any of the wales v russia match tbf though) Almost not captaining him just to make a point :p
You’ve got to stick with Ronny, even though Portugal are against Croatia he’ll no doubt still continue to have plenty of attempts on goal.
