Euro 2016 Fantasy Football Live Match Chat – The Knockout Phase

Euro 2016 Fantasy FootballJust as the UK votes on a possible Brexit, the group stages at Euro 2016 have been completed with some unfortunates already on their way home, while all the Home Nations secured to Remain for a while longer as England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland all qualified for the round of 16. You will notice a few changes to the fantasy game, so please allow us to run you through them so you are fully up-to-speed.
Price changes – some players price has increased, but only by a minimal amount it would appear. For example Dimitri Payet’s price has risen from 8.0mln to 8.1mln!! So, nothing to get too worried about.
As a result, your budget has increased by 5mln to 105mln, which not only reflects the price changes but also the fact that most of the smaller teams and cheaper players are no longer available due to them being knocked out, hence there are less budget options available.

Transfers – for this round you have an unlimited amount of transfers. For the quarter-finals you will have 4 free transfers, for the semi-finals you will have 6 free transfers and for the final you will have 6 free transfers.

Team personnel – you can now select four players from a single team for the round of 16, followed by five players for the quarter-finals, six for the semi-finals and eight for the final.

What a wuss that guy is.A knock on the knee and off he goes after 25 minutes.Players have carried on with broken collar bones, noses gashed heads with stitches put in off the pitch and that one gets carried off on a stretcher.

What the hell you talking about? He tried multiple times to continue, he didn’t want to come off! Shocking your comments!

Unbelievable, Chris. I’m genuinely baffled by the comment.

      Kruzcampo says:

He carries the hopes of his country but couldn’t play on after a knock on the knee. The guy is a fraud who plays to the gallery when he scores but when the going gets tough he hides. A preening show pony who cannot hack it and thought I am outa here.

      • Kop Warrior says:

I really dislike Ronaldo but you’re talking rubbish Kruz. The bloke is a born winner. Now he might want to win for himself rather than the team but he wants to win.

        • Kruzcampo says:

Each to their own mate. You have your opinion and I have mine

        • NIN says:

Oh i see, so your “opinion” is above the knowledge of elite level sportsmen is that it? How about leaving your bias to one side for a moment and thinking about what you’re saying. ATG’s bitching ut of the biggest game of their lives…. GTFOH

          #NINPOWER

      • NIN says:

And what the fuck would you know? Do you have x-ray-doctor vision, meaning you say see whats wrong with him through your tv screen? He’s among the greats of the game you utter plank. Apologies for the expletives but you’re asking for it here with this ignorant, borderline retarded comments. You’re one of those types that just love to see him fail, aren’t ya? Fucking gobshite.

        #youdon’tknowshitaboutfootball

        • Kruzcampo says:

Well that’s a really nice comment in a debate that up until then was a discussion about the pros and cons of Ronaldos contribution in the game and his injury which did not contain any foul and inflammatory language until you appeared.

        • NIN says:

I’ve got more mate… try me. Your comments are pathetic and literally nobody agrees. Nobody. Wanna know why? Because they are dumb as fuck, that’s why. It’s not about opinion, he got injured. Whether you like it or not, he couldn’t play. Lets allow you to dig this hole further; explain to us all how he wasn’t fouled, didn’t have an injury and just walked away from the biggest game of his life, that was 0-0, early on in the game. Go for it, sunshine. We are waiting…..

      • Rosco77 says:

Wow. Just wow. I’m not a huge fan of the man but no doubting his talent and hunger. I felt genuinely devastated for him, I think you have to be a pretty heartless person to feel otherwise.

        • MattX says:

Ah now Cook leave us Liverpool lads out of it haha

        • Kruzcampo says:

Your language offends me but I will respond to you all the same.He was injured with a clash of knees.Other players have carried on with worse injuries such as broken ribs and broken collar bones.Yet he did not and was carried off on a stretcher. With a knee injury!! Why can he not walk off when he has run around for 5 minutes before? He is so important to the team and as you say it is the biggest game of his life, why would you not fight to stay on the pitch to give your team mates a lift coming back on the pitch after treatment.

        • Kruzcampo says:

          Cookie
I don’t think he has the bottle to see it out in the face of adversity. If he did think of the lift it would have given the team if he had come back onto the pitch after treatment. How did the team react when it was apparent that he was going off? They are digging in for extra time and penalties but imagine the lift they would have got with Ronaldo on the pitch even at half pace.

        • NIN says:

Good, i’m glad my language has offended you. The utter bias and blatant idiocy of your comments deserve such a reaction. Don’t see anyone on here disagreeing with me or calling me out do we? Nope. Now, onto this latest twaddle; what does “other injuries” have to do with anything? If you took your head out of your arse for a minute you’d know that he tried to continue on but couldn’t. How on earth can you know, for a fact, that the injury wasn’t serious? There’s no chance of ligament damage? No chance of a cartilage injury? No chance of internal swelling leading to instability? You’ve gone straight in on a great, great player because you don’t like the man for whatever reason, you’ve proved that with these bullshit comments. It’s baffling how anyone could just, for no apparent reason and with absolutely 0 information about the injury, assume that a player walks away from this level of sport for, again, no apparent reason. You cant see inside his fucking leg, nobody can. It’s up to the individual and the medical team to decipher the situation. He got injured, tried to carry on, couldn’t, and took a stretcher off.

For the second time, explain why you think this is the case. An accumulation of words means fuck all if there’s nothing to back it up. What are you basing this on? We are waiting….

        • Silvers says:

Kruz you are starting to irratate me you obviously are not watching the same game as the rest of us :biggun:

        • webstar87 says:

          Kruz,

At the end of the day anybody who knows even a little about football or about Ronaldo knows he plays to win and does all he can to win. If he or the medical staff thought he could manage the rest of the game some how then I am sure he would have stayed on. You’re slagging him off and making some very strange claims about him for no real reason. Move on and enjoy the final as it sounds like you’re glad he’s no longer on the pitch…here’s hoping he still lifts the trophy at the end.

        • Kruzcampo says:

You really do have a potty mouth and you seem to sprinkle everything with 4 letter words. Can you not find any other adjectives that are not swear words?
Ronaldo came on to the pitch at full time without apparent discomfort to boost his team mates before extra time.

        • Kruzcampo says:

          Silvers
I am watching the same game but I commented an hour ago when Ronaldo went off.It was my opinion yet I am responded to with foul and abusive language/
Disappointed as I thought that this was a good site for football banter but the filth that has come my way tonight is not very nice.I have an opinion which may differ from other peoples but why should I be verbally abused for that opinion ?

        • Silvers says:

Kruz I know what & when you commented but your opinion is wrong it was clear to see that Ron didn’t want to come off , he tried to run it off then came back on if you have played any kind of sport you would know he wasn’t faking it & why would he want to go of
Your opinion is noted but has no merit now let’s watch what is left of the game.

        • Kruzcampo says:

          Cookie
I haven’t got a problem with a difference of opinion as that’s what leads to healthy debate.I am in the minority on the board which is fine but I put up an opinion that people can disagree with.
However I will not be verbally abused with filthy language and I am so disappointed that this board is heading in the direction of so many others that are a continual diatribe of foul language. Sad but true.

        • Kruzcampo says:

          Silvers
Not a problem as we beg to differ. It makes the world go round.

        • NIN says:

You’re imploding by the comment here; cant logically answer / justify any of your points. Not one. As for my language; deal with it. If simple curse words “offend” you then that further proves your bullshit on this topic. You’ve been rinsed mate and have nothing to back yourself up. Again, opinion does not come into it. Not one bit. You cant give the man the least bit of credit and we all know why. Now, lets rinse that “point” you just made; what does walking have in common with full paced, high octane sport have in common? Nothing. Are you really saying that if a player can walk they run like the clappers and give their all for their team? If so, it again further shows your lack of any relative input. Now, another rinse; you say “i just stated my opinion”… read back your initial post. Your “opinion” is that there’s nothing wrong with him and he’s a wuss and just bitched out of the biggest game of his life (rewind and see the man crying on the pitch) yet you have 0 information. None. Not one bit other than your clear dislike and bias. Absolute bullshit. I find it hard to believe you can be so arrogant and stubborn. Unbelievable.

You’re better off putting your tail between your legs because you’ve been butchered in this here convo. Butchered. Not just by me, by many others yet here you are defending yourself when you really know you’ve opened a can of worms you cant handle.

          #RINSED

        • Tekno-kun says:

Does Kruz remind anyone else about that person that was on here some time back; Dino was it? In that he comes on here and talks bullshit, then turns into a whiny little bitch with a victim’s mentality the moment anyone calls him out on it? Fucking hate people like that; you’re completely right NIN to call him out on his behavior.

          Let’s see here…
“Well that’s a really nice comment in a debate that up until then was a discussion about the pros and cons of Ronaldos contribution in the game and his injury”

          and

“I haven’t got a problem with a difference of opinion as that’s what leads to healthy debate.”

Now let’s look at the comments that sparked the argument:
“What a wuss that guy is.A knock on the knee and off he goes after 25 minutes.Players have carried on with broken collar bones, noses gashed heads with stitches put in off the pitch and that one gets carried off on a stretcher.”

          and

“He carries the hopes of his country but couldn’t play on after a knock on the knee. The guy is a fraud who plays to the gallery when he scores but when the going gets tough he hides. A preening show pony who cannot hack it and thought I am outa here.”

You call this comments that are used in a “healthy debate,” Kruz? You’re clearly acting out of pure spite, and now you’re being called out on it. Blame yourself.

      Kruzcampo says:

Progress I see.You like the word rinsed as it appears throughout your post.I am glad to see that you have RINSED your potty mouth out at last except for one or two little slips, but you really can’t help yourself with swearing as it seems quite natural for you to put it in your typing..You have really got upset about a little comment on a player in the match.Seems to me that it takes little to set you off.Why would you get so fanatical about a player performing at a football match which in the scheme of things means nothing.I made a comment which was relevant at the time yet you went off on one and verbally abused me with foul language over 3 or 4 posts.I find it hard to believe that someone could be so aggressive over a game of football and a difference of opinion over an injury to a player.I would suggest that you seek proffesional help as you certainly seem to have anger management issues

      • Kruzcampo says:

        Tekno
Another potty mouth. Can anybody on this board type a sentence without foul language?

        • Tekno-kun says:

          I’ll try!

“Fucking hell, Portugal’s gone and won it!”
“Fuck me, Sofia Vergara’s got a fine ass!”
          “Kruz is a bloody twat!”

Wow, I wasn’t able to produce a single sentence without swearing! That was a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. Such a potty mouth I am.

Love how you ignored all of my arguments against you by the way. Here I am, trying to have a healthy debate with an exchange of opinions, which – after all – makes the world go round, but clearly you don’t want in on that. You’re being very mean you big meanie you! Twat.

      • NIN says:

And there we have it folks, an entire post by this clown that has nothing to do with the original subject matter but instead attempting to pass off the utter nonsense he posted by making ol’ NIN out to be some sort of crazed fanatical looney. I am not being aggressive. I am not upset in the slightest. What i’ve done here is expose your utter bullshit. You still cant justify or explain your points for the reason that you cant be honest as to why you posted it because that would show your colours and 100% prove my points. Simple. You’ve actually painted yourself into a corner here and now you’re painting yourself. This post i’m responding to is exactly the sort of shit i knew was coming; complete deflection and point the finger at me for cursing and pass me off as a fanatic or an over aggressive oddball. You’ve failed, miserably. Imbecilic carry on, my good man.

Tekno has put it in a nutshell. Please, continue to embarrass yourself. Nobody here is gonna rub your belly for you or back you up. Nobody. Come back to me when you have some logical input and in future maybe keep your hateful, spiteful little comments to yourself or you’ll be gone in on again. Are you a football fan or what? Actually, no need to answer that really. Silly question.

Back to my favorite word, or at least the word of the day..

        RINSED.

As this all draws to a close and we soon move onto FPL stuff again (10pm in fact!) I just wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone who has contributed to our Euro coverage over the past 6 weeks or so. Too many to name but you know who you are and that includes everyone who has done an article, a competition (Potty mainly!), organising behind the scenes and also those who have simply been involved by commenting on the articles themselves. Thanks one and all.
