Euro 2020/21 Fantasy Football

Welcome to the FF247 hub for the Euro’s. As per our Champions League article this shall be the main place for the duration of the comp and will act more as a destination to gather and discuss it all, rather than being anything of particular fantasy use.

What you need to know

How to play?
You have a couple of options here;

Click here to join via a desktop or webpage.

Alternatively you can simply update your UEFA Games App (the one you may have used for the CL) and it will show up as a dual purpose one with the Euros game on there.

The Rules
This game is exactly as per the CL one with in-game matchday-by-matchday substitutions and Capo changes available between each day.

We expect most of our league members will be au-fait with these rules but if you are unsure then simply ask in the comments below and somebody will always be on hand to explain further.

Or simply click here for the full explanation.

Hints, tips, squads, line-ups etc…
For once UEFA have actually made a pretty good job of this and so we won’t be bothering to post any of the above as articles as it is pretty much all there for you. They have the entire raft of squads posted on both their website and on their official App along with a run-down on every single team.

The FF247 League
We are not running a ‘public’ league for this one, we are keeping it in-house for the summer fun and as such we have our usual ‘Regulars League’. We did post the league code in the comments section previously but this has now disappeared. The good news is that the majority of our usual CL crew saw it and have already joined,

For anyone who didn’t then simply drop us an email on;

contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk

All we ask if you enter the league is that you please keep the code to yourself and don’t divulge it to family or friends who do not frequent the site. This is for the FF247 Community who will be commenting and interacting on here and we would like to keep it that way. Ivan (The Terrible) will be keeping a watch and if you do then expect to be dealt with harshly!

Thanks for reading Euro 2020/21 Fantasy Football

Hi all. Forgot to make any transfers last deadline so I have 3 ITB. Not sure if that’s because they roll over or not. Still have everything else to use. Any suggestions for this team?

Many in your team that most likely won’t start…Immobile, Lukaku, Spina, Denayer, Depay…and maybe others. Same situation with my team. May need 8 ph at least…or WC

        I can limitless? Should I?

        • Chipster says:

Hi mate. Yes, I would definitely use LL if you still have it. That gives you an unlimited WC for MD3, without budget restrictions, and then afterwards returns your team to the squad you had originall (but, as everyone then gets unlimited transfers before knockout phase begins, you can completely change your squad again to set it up nicely for the knockouts).

If you keep LL for the knockout phase, then it will allow you to ace a team for the round you play it in, but you then inherit your old team back again, which could have many players knocked out by then. Because of this, I personally think LL is less useful if played later in the tournament.

          Thanks mate! Great call

I think at least 9 of this team will start? Took 8ph and brought in Belotti (or Schick if does not start), Havertz, KDB and Gosens. Havertz or Yarmolenko?
    Any better options? 2.6mib
Would much appreciate your comments help

Hi bees. It’s not bad for a non-chip team. It’s hard to know who might get rested. I think The Netherlands are through as group winners already, so Depay could conceivably get rested. Spinna may get a rest too, as Italy are in a good position. But who knows!

I’m using WC for MD3 and had KDB straight in. But, I’m worried even he might get rested, so have replaced him with Gnabry for now (may swap back again later though, lol). You could do KDB to Yarm perhaps if there’s any chatter that KDB might get rested.

Hey guys. Very bad week for me as I missed the deadline and had to bear with the non-playing players. 41 points. Team is in shambles. What should be my strategy for the coming weeks? 3 FT.

Good morning folks. How to improve this WC?

      Chipster says:

      Hi LRL

Looks good mate. Any cash itb?

Perhaps downgrade Dumfries to a cheap BEL defender and use the extra cash to upgrade Hradecky to someone like Olson (SWE) or Simon (ESP) or the UKR keeper whose name escapes me.

Or, if Spinna gets rested and there’s a cheaper ITA defender in the starting lineups later, you could downgrade there to get the cash to upgrade Hradecky.

Otherwise, I really like it mate good

Thoughts on my wildcard? From my limited research I don’t think I’ve selected anyone not expecting to start.
£0.8 ITB. Also can’t decide between Embolo and Shaqiri for captain.

      Chipster says:

I like it mate. Lots of differentials in there and, like you say, hopefully little chance of rotation.

I’m slightly wary on KDB myself though, as I think BEL have “previous” for heavy rotation in these tournaments.

I’d consider using your spare cash to upgrade Bachmann to the likes of Olson or Simon, as I don’t see him keeping a CS against UKR.

How does this look for limitless?

      Chipster says:

I’d swap Depay to another premium like Ronaldo or Griezmann. They both have more to play for, so should almost certainly start, whereas Depay is more likely than those two to get rested I feel.

I’m not convinced Fernandes is worth having, so would consider a swap to Jota (if you wanna stay with POR) or perhaps even look elsewhere (Yarmolenko, Perisic, maybe even an ENG mid?).

      • makeya says:

        Yep great calls

        • makeya says:

          How does this look?

        • Chipster says:

I really like those changes (but maybe I’m biased!) 😀

Obviously check the lineups later in case you need to tweak your ITA players a bit.

As you’re on limitless, maybe go Alba over Torres for better attacking threat?

Also, I’m just wondering about your double up at the back for DEN. It could work out (and you have bench players to cover if it doesn’t), but maybe think of swapping one of them out for a flutter on a CS from somewhere else (SWE, SUI, UKR, ENG, SCO)

        • makeya says:

All good ideas mate. Brought in Alba and Stones. Cheers!
