Good Evening and welcome to the launch of my Summer Competition. Given as UEFA have left all us good fantasy folk stranded with no actual competition to play I thought I would step forward to try and fill the void a bit with my own little competition, just to keep us entertained. The competition is based on the Under 21 European Tournament which starts on Friday 16th June. Screw UEFA then, let’s get on with it…
Your aim is to gather as many points as possible, its that simple.
Follow this link to the UEFA site to find all you need to know when selecting your men who’ll hopefully bring you European Glory (then click on the Under 21 tab).
Lets Play ‘Its A Pre-Tournament Gamble’
The Rules.
A – Select 5 players from any position you wish.
B – Highlight one as your Captain (C) for double points.
C – Your men may come from just one of the Under 21 teams or a pick and mix from any.
D – Your five man team must be picked ahead of the tournament starting, hence its all a Potty gamble.
E – There will be two groups which I’ll draw on Monday at 9pm, with the top four after the group stage is complete making the semi-finals stage.
The Potty Points System!!!!
All your players will gain points as follows…
Appearance (and even off the bench) = 15pts
Goalkeeper/Defender cleansheet = 25pts
Goalkeeper/Defender conceeding = -10pts per goal
Any player making an assist = 20pts per assist
Any player scoring = 30pts per goal
Yellow or Red Card flashed = -5pts & -8pts respectively.
Now pick your 5 star men from these teams…
Poland
England
Slovakia
Sweden
FYR Macedonia
Portugal
Serbia
Spain
Czech Republic
Italy
Denmark
Germany
The 1st part of the competition, and your 5 picks as per above, are for the group stages only. You will get to pick a different squad after that but stay tuned for details should you qualify that far.
So do a wee bit of research then post those men of yours below.

How’s our Potty comp going? That Selke penalty didn’t help but the fact that it doesn’t deduct pts under Potty’s does!
I capped Deulofeu with a goal in Potty’s. Other than that the rest stank the place out.

Just got back from a nice little break in Marbella and its been 26degrees in Newcastle all weekend which is a nice change from the usual fog on the Tyne :smiling:

Yeah Cookie met The Lord and his team won the French League. He’s gonna blitz FPL this coming season for the hat-trick.
Yeah GP, bit of sun and a short rest from FPL has made me feel like a new man. Raring to go for next season now, I see we have about 3 weeks until we get to start picking our teams and the RMTs pour in.

Please take note of the message at the top of the homepage re logging in. Some changes have had to be made behind the scenes and as a result some are experiencing problems logging in.
Follow the instructions in the note at the top which will involve you clearing cookies for FF247 and then clearing your cache – this will need to be done on your phone, tablet, pc, laptop, whatever you use to access FF247.
I’ve just followed the steps for my work pc and appears to have done the trick.
Yes Cookie took a few attempts but ok on phone & laptop now 😉

Morning all. Happy to sit at 7th at the end of weekend. Couple questions:
1- does the bench order work the same as in FPL and if so when should a sub come in to replace a player who didn’t play?
2- And why is the deadline for GW2 in only a few hours when the games are slated for June 19?

1- I do have a defender sitting in first spot on the bench and one starting who didn’t play but it hasn’t updated yet. Maybe it will update at the deadline for GW2? 6 more points would sneak me up a few more spots

Just spoke to him mate. They’re included already. They just don’t physically show in the line up as per FPL. Your total pitch points are 84. Add in your 6 and bingo that equals your total.

The fandromeda one for the confederations cup is a bit odd. It just went down for maintenance some 15 minutes ago. Couldn’t make any moves as a result. Booo
I binned that off on day 1 mate as I missed the deadline. Kop did too so I doubt he’s playing either
