Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions DGW37

Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions DGW37.

We haven’t given you results in a while… building that suspense… teasing you all… keep you wanting more! Well we have decided to be the ultimate teases by giving you a triple whammy of results before the penultimate weekend of FPL action but then not tell you the final results of anything until the big reveal in GW38. When the dust settles we shall crown our 2023/24 H&L Champion.
Without further ado, I shall reveal the GW34 to 36 winners and who got close.

In GW34, we had some big scores with 15 managers getting double digit scores but the top three were in a league of their own with a 2 point gap over 4th place and then one point separating each of the top three. In 3rd place was Jamie Mc with 17 points, 2nd place was Hammerfan with 18 points but on his own was The Terrible, Ivan, on 19 points! Ivan was also only one minute away from getting the FGS time correct. Very close calls there. Feel the excitement yet?!

In GW35, it was another high scorer with 15 managers again getting into the double digits. This time though it was even closer with tied scores all the way from 1st down to 10th. FGS predictions were correct for many and we needed to go to the FGS time difference for a sole winner this week. In a tie for 3rd place was Redmecca and Padster on 14, tied for 2nd was StoneFrog and Hammerfan on 15 points but fighting for 1st was Gear and Loud Atlas who both got FGS and 16 points. LA’s time prediction was 23 minutes away from being correct beating Gear’s which was 31 minutes away. Congrats LoudAtlas on the narrow win! Wow this is tense!

Finally in GW36, the scores got lower but the tension didn’t! Only 11 managers got double digits this time but they were all tying with someone else. Lots of FGS points and time differences were needed to decide the winner and it was vital this week as FGS was Dominic Calvert-Lewin won the week for a particular manager. It was a three-way tie for 3rd with Shrivathsa, Gavy and Botman and Robben all getting 12 points. In a fight for 2nd was Padster and PM on 13 points but here is where the roof was blown off the stadium as DMC and Mfon3667 were battling it out for top spot. Both managers got 14 points but one amazingly got it all from just predicting. DMC got all 14 points on his own merit but Calvert-Lewin helped tie the scores for Mfon. That meant we needed the tiebreaker. DMC was 14 minutes away (I sense a theme) but Mfon was a single minute away from the correct score so the winner of GW36 at the death was Mfon3667! What a win!

Many congratulations to Ivan, LA and Mfon! Please email us here: contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to claim your prize.

Overall League Table

THIS WEEK’S COMPETITION… scoring couldn’t be much simpler:

• Correct Score —> 3 points;
• Correct Result —> 1 point; and
• Correct First Goalscorer of the Gameweek —> 5 points.

To clarify, this is who you think will score the first goal of the entire Gameweek, not just in any given match that you choose to pick yourself!

Points above are awarded on an ‘either / or’ basis, so you’ll either score 3 points for a Correct Score or just 1 point for a Correct Result, and these are never added together for a 4-point score.

Tie-Breaker: in the event of 2+ entrants being tied as winners for the Gameweek, the overall winner of the weekly prize will be decided by a tie-breaker. In order to do this, we ask that you also post your prediction for the time at which the first goal of the Gameweek will be scored. Nearest the pin wins!

The Rules… 1 entry per person and all entries must be submitted prior to the first match of the Gameweek. Once all the matches have been played, we’ll calculate the scores, and the winner(s) will be announced in the following Gameweek’s competition article: each winner will walk away with an FF247-branded t-shirt.

So, to recap, all that you need to do to play is:

• copy & paste the fixtures from below and pop your score prediction on each;
• tell us who you think will be the First Goalscorer of the Gameweek; and
• follow it with your guess for the time of this first goal (to give yourself a fighting chance in a tie-breaker situation).

Here are the fixtures; best of luck to you all!
