Fantasy Football 247 at the Football Blog Awards. Last chance to vote!

Fantasy Football 247 at the Football Blog AwardsAs we are sure you are by now aware FF247 have been shortlisted as a finalist for the Best FPL Football Blog Awards (FBA). The finals take place on November 13th at the National Football Museum in Manchester. Voting closes this Friday and it is a close run thing so far so this is our last plea for more votes! We would dearly love to bring home an award for you all as a thank you for your following and dedication. We are under no illusions that the competition is strong and we are honoured to have even made it this far in our first year but with your help you just never know. Details of how to vote follow below and the main message here is that if you have already voted in the first round of voting you need to do so again as votes were reset for the finals.

[clear]

tweetvoteWe would like to thank all our members for being such a huge part of the site – without you we are nothing. We have always aimed to make FF247 a community site, a fun site as well, of course, and an essential all round tool for FPL managers. It is your involvement, comments, banter and engagement that ultimately has pushed FF247 into the realms of being nominated for awards such as this.

So we thank you deeply and look forward to a bigger, better, funnier future together!
Finally, we would like to ask that you vote for us in the hope that little old FF247 may just upset some of the more established names that we are up against. Clearly our age will not make it easy for us to win against other sites that have been around for years, but you know us, we’ll give it a go. Every vote counts.

Voting is very straightforward – all you need to is click on the link below, either taking you to the FBA site or through the twitter button.
In case you’re thinking, “I’ve already voted”, then firstly thanks, it’s your votes that have been responsible for us being nominated but as we say that was for the first round so please make sure you vote again.

If you’re on twitter, then this is the most simple method.

Voting via the FBA site link involves about about two minutes more of your time! Just click this link (or the red ‘tweet your vote’ button above), enter your details and under “categories”, click the FPL drop down menu and you will see Fantasy Football 247 appear. Simply highlight us and click “Vote Now” – you will be sent an email which you will need to confirm your vote.

The FF247 team will be attending the event itself and we will be sure to post pics on here and via twitter of what will surely be a fantastic night out regardless of the results! Tickets are on general sale as well so if anyone fancies it please feel free to come but be sure to let us know so that so we can include you in our party!

Thanks again for your time, patience and support!

All at Fantasy Football 247.

Okay so Sterling is going to go down AGAIN and I can’t take losing anymore on him so I’m thinking of risking my transfers tonight..
Thinking Welbeck to Sakho and Sterling to Walcott for another point hit. Think it would be worth it though. West Ham have great fixtures and Walcott offers more than Welbeck for Arsenal coverage-a fantasy gem!

screw it, I’m going to do it..don’t suppose anybody knows if Sakho is definitely back next week?

      • inittowinit says:

AT he should be mate, he was close this week.

        • AT says:

cheers init, do you think I should take another 0,1 loss on Sterling or ship out and risk it with the CL?

        • inittowinit says:

Personally I’d wait until they’re done but depends if funds are that tight?

        • AT says:

after the sale I would have 1,2 so not tight at all haha. Just hate losing TV!

        • inittowinit says:

You’ve got 5 guys there who are all probably first teamers for you who play this week in Europe. I’d wait it out and suck up the 0.1 or whatever it is.

        • hazardeden10 says:

AT- if you feel it- do it!!
I know a few have done pelle and ster–> sakho and sanchez/walcott….. done it myself (on my second team mind you), i think its a wise move.
Could be a bit early for walcott but he was only on for 11 mins and nearly had a goal and an assist- as you say- a fantasy gem!!
No need to rush it, but if you are paranoid about TV (like me), id hit fire.

        • AT says:

you’re right. Just hope he doesn’t drop even more!
Chances are though, if someone gets injured I would do the same transfers and then take a further hit 😉

        • AT says:

Love how much views differ! If someone gets injured I would just take another hit haha, or bench them!

AT, If it’s worth anything I sold Welbeck and Sterling for Sanchez and Sakho. So considering that you should probably do something different as my tip about Collins didn’t pay off! Well done on have Chambers btw

      • AT says:

SAF, hahaha…I was so close to bringing in Collins!
I would replicate your moves but don’t have quite enough but I think Walcott is more than up to it.
Not worried about CL with your moves already made?

        • SAFs_hairdryer says:

I almost got Chambers but didn’t because I’d have to take a hit and figured a CS would just leave me even. As it was I had 5 defenders with CS but he smashed it with 18 points!

I usually do transfers early mostly because I’m impatient. It’s not often injuries happen but if they do I have a pretty strong squad so it’s all fine

        • SAFs_hairdryer says:

If Walcott takes off like last season then I don’t see a lot of difference between him and Sanchez. It’s just that Sanchez is in form and Walcott isnt

        • AT says:

Walcott can’t be inform from 11 minutes of play SAF haha 😉

        • SAFs_hairdryer says:

Exactly my point! Although Kane got MOM for 33 mins today. Just shows what a crap game it was

        • AT says:

Oh, I see what you mean! And yeah, could have done without Chadli bagging.

Going to make the exact same transfers but I’ll wait till International Break.

Everyone please make the biggest effort you can to vote multiple times.

I’ve cast using every email I’ve ever used, FB and twitter too.

Ask your friends to take 2 mins too to help us. We’ll be up against it but let’s fight our corner.

Reposting this post. Evening all, well a meagre 58pts for me, could have been worse, at least i have Chambers. So as a Pool fan i have to admit we are diabolical and i can’t see it getting any better, some fans are wanting Brendan out, seems a bit harsh to me. Like everyone else i have to ditch Sterling, if i do it tonight i will have 8.9mill for a replacement, i don’t usually do early transfers as things can go wrong, especially with CL games taking place midweek, but Sterling is dropping faster than Liverpool. I do have 2fts though, so suggestions please or should i wait till the CL games are over ? Thanks for your reply Cody on the other thread.

Elle who are you ditching him for? I’d wait as I stated above to AT.

Ngl, you need some arsenal coverage… walcott seems so right..but there is a slight risk!!!! Guess you could take in ramsey until wally fully back?
However, you could look to welbeck, and downgrade sterling to a chadli/downing/barkley- this changes your mid/fwd balance, which i am not sure if you are keen to or not!
Like for like swaps (premium mid), there is not much out there, (walcott fits so perfectly!!!!! :cuss: ) maybe a punt on oscar? or eriksen(not sure what spurs fixtures are like!!)

*Also, forster–>fabianski in two weeks makes sense, but then that leaves you without any soton coverage, which may not be a bad thing, but clyne seems to pick up an awful lot of bp’s!!!

Evening folks, looking for a second opinion… Sterling and Siggy to Fab and Downing for free?

    Krelliott
    Baines Clyne Chambers (Wisdom Bruce)
    DiMaria Chadli Siggy Sterling (Wanyama)
    Aguero Costa Pelle

    Thanks!
