Fantasy Football 247 at the Football Blog Awards. Last chance to vote!
As we are sure you are by now aware FF247 have been shortlisted as a finalist for the Best FPL Football Blog Awards (FBA). The finals take place on November 13th at the National Football Museum in Manchester. Voting closes this Friday and it is a close run thing so far so this is our last plea for more votes! We would dearly love to bring home an award for you all as a thank you for your following and dedication. We are under no illusions that the competition is strong and we are honoured to have even made it this far in our first year but with your help you just never know. Details of how to vote follow below and the main message here is that if you have already voted in the first round of voting you need to do so again as votes were reset for the finals.

We would like to thank all our members for being such a huge part of the site – without you we are nothing. We have always aimed to make FF247 a community site, a fun site as well, of course, and an essential all round tool for FPL managers. It is your involvement, comments, banter and engagement that ultimately has pushed FF247 into the realms of being nominated for awards such as this.
So we thank you deeply and look forward to a bigger, better, funnier future together!
Finally, we would like to ask that you vote for us in the hope that little old FF247 may just upset some of the more established names that we are up against. Clearly our age will not make it easy for us to win against other sites that have been around for years, but you know us, we’ll give it a go. Every vote counts.
Voting is very straightforward – all you need to is click on the link below, either taking you to the FBA site or through the twitter button.
In case you’re thinking, “I’ve already voted”, then firstly thanks, it’s your votes that have been responsible for us being nominated but as we say that was for the first round so please make sure you vote again.
If you’re on twitter, then this is the most simple method.
Voting via the FBA site link involves about about two minutes more of your time! Just click this link (or the red ‘tweet your vote’ button above), enter your details and under “categories”, click the FPL drop down menu and you will see Fantasy Football 247 appear. Simply highlight us and click “Vote Now” – you will be sent an email which you will need to confirm your vote.
The FF247 team will be attending the event itself and we will be sure to post pics on here and via twitter of what will surely be a fantastic night out regardless of the results! Tickets are on general sale as well so if anyone fancies it please feel free to come but be sure to let us know so that so we can include you in our party!
Thanks again for your time, patience and support!
All at Fantasy Football 247.
Gomez goal 1-2 Sunderland
It may not have looked spectacular but it was a superb strike.
Yeah, Balotelli could learn a thing or two from him.
Mario would’ve hit me with a shot from there!
Phewwwwwwwwwwwwww. Mannone coming from bench. Sunderland trying to hold on to 1-2 and using 2 goalies.
Anyone know how serious van Aanholts injury is?
Suspected dislocated shoulder Raz
Tnx Kop. He just got his assist, poor bloke.
A lot of lucky people have Mannone playing with Krul on the bench, nice 8 point bonus on the way !!!!
Those 8 points will see me slip further down the rankings!
Same, my league rival has him on the f-ing bench. I was so happy till I saw the line-ups. I blame TJ!
Krul and Mannone have been rotaters from the start. I have Krul and Bego but time for Bego to go, thankfully played Krul this week
Who’s the guy playing without a number and a name on his back?
dunne-got a blood injury!!
Jedinak red card
Crystal 1-3 Sunderland. All goals made by Sunderland, who would’ve thought?
This is Sunderland’s first monday game win in 12 years.
Righty-Ho chaps, is Sterling + Costa out for Sanchez + Pelle the thing to do ? Would give me a front 7 of :-
Sanchez, Fab, ADM, Siggy.
Kun, Berahino, Pelle.
Thinking that Costa gets kicked to death at our gaff on Saturday, then goes for his op. Yea or Nea ?
Crazy, but if your gut tells you to do so why not? Called people crazy for moving out Di Maria for Sanchez and it paid off. Personally I’m not the one that likes to step on bandwagons. Also, I’d first take a look at the midweek CL games if you can. Anyway, go with your gut. I’ve got the feeling you already decided.
elle – Pellè would be short-term though, correct? I agree with the transfers. “Yea”.
Cody, maybe not, probably see how Soton get on 1st against the so called tougher teams, they could get beat 5-2 every game for me, as long as Pelle keeps scoring.
Very true! Smart thinking. Pellè is still looking good, so he should be able to pick up goals against tougher sides.
to be fair, the ‘tougher sides’ all have solid defences.. 😉
Utd
City
Pool
You reckon Pellè looks good Cody?
Raz – lol shut up
the things I’d do to his girl though. God damn.
wouldn’t take out costa honestly.
especially not for pelle as he is good for only 2 more weeks before the tough fixtures begin!
I disagree that Pelle is only good for two more weeks. On paper their fixtures get tougher, but on current form they’re more than capable of picking up results.
They have a hard run of fixtures up until the first of February. When I first looked I figured it was just 3 games but they have a lot of hard fixtures.
+1 and like elle said, as long as Pellè scores it doesn’t matter how many Soton concedes.
Sotons fixtures up till 17 of January. These are 11 fixtures (I took out the easy opponents): City (H), Arse (A), MU (H), Eve (H), Che (H), Arse (H), MU (A). That’s 7 hard fixtures in their next 11. F-ing 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >.< The somewhat easier fixtures are all away games.
Give current form I would make Southampton favourites against United & Everton, while they’ll gives City & Arsenal a tough time.
@ Kop
I like Soton and I have Forster, Tadic and Pelle. For these hard weeks I don’t mind swapping them around a bit though. Pelle to Sakho and Tadic to Walcott seems a reasonable move. Considering they don’t have the easiest fixtures (fixtures they can win but it won’t be 8-0). WHU does have good fixtures and well, Wally if he’s back he’ll be gold again. He already looked the piece after just 10 minutes of playing time.
Good points Raz and I might also look elsewhere myself, but I don’t think Southampton will implode over the next 10 games or so.
Indeed Kop. They’re class. From front to back. Class goalie, class defence, class midfield, class strikers. Everything class. Plus a decent coach.
Looking to drop Bego to a cheaper goalie to rotate with Krul, only Heaton and Foster come to mind, 0 in the bank, any suggestions or just keep Bego?
@Inertia.
Same situation.
I reckon Foster is the best option.
Thanks Horse, long time no speak, hope all is well
Cheers Inertia.
Life is good.
FA Cup starts on Saturday
Enjoy Aldershot, should see you through to the next round
I would not lose Costa for Pelle, Sterling out yes 100% Would you wait for Wally
Advised him this but he won’t listen. Apparently managers here are so attracted to Pellè they’d even replace Costa. :big-lol:
Raz – But still you’re the one googling for shirtless pics of him 😉
Haha, no just googled Graziono Pelle. Get a billion pictures of him in Feyenoord shirt but when I saw this I laughed so hard. I had to post it. Look at the lump in his shorts and the envious looking lady in the back. Not hating on that lady, but we all know what she’s thinking. Ain’t nothing nice. 😉
Shorts? Envious woman? Don’t see any of that
Raziel – hahahaah oh my God I didn’t notice the bulge. That’s hilarious.
