Fantasy Football 247 at the Football Blog Awards. Last chance to vote!
As we are sure you are by now aware FF247 have been shortlisted as a finalist for the Best FPL Football Blog Awards (FBA). The finals take place on November 13th at the National Football Museum in Manchester. Voting closes this Friday and it is a close run thing so far so this is our last plea for more votes! We would dearly love to bring home an award for you all as a thank you for your following and dedication. We are under no illusions that the competition is strong and we are honoured to have even made it this far in our first year but with your help you just never know. Details of how to vote follow below and the main message here is that if you have already voted in the first round of voting you need to do so again as votes were reset for the finals.

We would like to thank all our members for being such a huge part of the site – without you we are nothing. We have always aimed to make FF247 a community site, a fun site as well, of course, and an essential all round tool for FPL managers. It is your involvement, comments, banter and engagement that ultimately has pushed FF247 into the realms of being nominated for awards such as this.
So we thank you deeply and look forward to a bigger, better, funnier future together!
Finally, we would like to ask that you vote for us in the hope that little old FF247 may just upset some of the more established names that we are up against. Clearly our age will not make it easy for us to win against other sites that have been around for years, but you know us, we’ll give it a go. Every vote counts.
Voting is very straightforward – all you need to is click on the link below, either taking you to the FBA site or through the twitter button.
In case you’re thinking, “I’ve already voted”, then firstly thanks, it’s your votes that have been responsible for us being nominated but as we say that was for the first round so please make sure you vote again.
If you’re on twitter, then this is the most simple method.
Voting via the FBA site link involves about about two minutes more of your time! Just click this link (or the red ‘tweet your vote’ button above), enter your details and under “categories”, click the FPL drop down menu and you will see Fantasy Football 247 appear. Simply highlight us and click “Vote Now” – you will be sent an email which you will need to confirm your vote.
The FF247 team will be attending the event itself and we will be sure to post pics on here and via twitter of what will surely be a fantastic night out regardless of the results! Tickets are on general sale as well so if anyone fancies it please feel free to come but be sure to let us know so that so we can include you in our party!
Thanks again for your time, patience and support!
All at Fantasy Football 247.
So my issues for this week are:
-Costa
-Ulloa
-Sigurdsson
Not sure who to get rid of first. I have 1 FT and 0.2 in the bank.
Tom
I don’t see Sigurdsson or Costa as issues you need to deal with.
Ulloa isn’t doing it so much so how about bringing Sakho of West Ham in?
Evening GP, is Sakho fit now? He may be my transfer this week to free up cash for Sanchezzzzzzz. How’d you finish this week pal?
Alex
Good morning
I gathered he had a late fitness test for Saturday there so he can’t be far away. I’d expect Sam to say he’ll be fine for Villa this weekend.
GP, I’ll keep an eye on him, looks a good prospect and great fixtures. Stoking week for you mate, well done
Alex
Thank you.
I agree on Sakho. I may consider dropping Pelle for him in two weeks time but can’t justify the replacement of Welbeck as his fixtures over the same period are very exciting too.
Gp, I’d rather spread the love; I have chambers and, if I get Walcott/Sanchez then I’m happy to ditch welbeck so don’t have three from the gooners! Got a trade lined up this week?
Alex
I had Chambers, Sanchez and Welbeck this weekend and pulled in 39 between them
My move this week is to strengthen my defence I think. Providing I have no injuries to deal with on Friday, I fancy Collins of West Ham in for Wilson of Stoke.
Currently on 63 with O’Shea left to play. 1 point behind opponent in banterbury League (they have no-one to play). Also a big Sunderland fan……..I see an O’Shea OG coming tonight…lol
Which formation should I play
harry
Currently I think you are set up stronger for 3-4-3 with Heaton, Duff, Wisdom & Boyd as our subs usually.
Harry, +1
Wisdom is versing Newcastle. Most likely to get a clean sheet
I feel like putting siggy on the bench. He is versing Arsenal who have been in form
I could play 4-3-3.
Suggestions
Harry, all I can say is in your position i’d be playing Siggy. All the best mate.
3-4-3 it is
Thanks for help
Good luck Harry. Don’t hold me to 3-4-3 being the best this week, I just stick with that formation all the time.
Harry
Siggy can do it against anyone on his day. He’s already scored at Man Utd and assisted there too. The fixture wouldn’t worry me.
Evening all, so how has your GW been? I hope plenty of green arrows for you all
I jumped from 13th to 7th in my mini league so can’t complain.
Well done Ant, what points did you get?
I got 74 this week
75 points mate.
Hey Alex, yeah big green ones. 95 points minus a 4 point hit. Can’t complain!
With a four point hit already made I’ll be hoping the managers wrap their star players in cotton wool for Europe! Quite happy I’ve made my transfers early, although we’ll see how my mood is on Thursday night with five injuries! 😉
At, alright mate. Who did you do and why so early?
NZ,
Walcott and Sakho (both kind of risky ahha) for Sterling and Welbeck
Just frustrated at the pair of them and Sterling was dropping far too fast for my liking 😉
AT, nice choices (if a little risky!) I’m eyeing up them as well but may go Sanchez for now and downgrade to Walcott whens he’s starting regularly.
NZ, Sakho has great fixtures and both Allardyce and their chairman (co-chairman? aha) so thought he was worth the risk.
Not sure if Walcott will get 90 minutes but hopefully he will be rested over Europe and so he’ll be the fresh legs Wenger needs for the weekend.
Sanchez is a better option for now but only had 10,2 for a midifelder and didn’t want any other cheap striker so had to be Walcott. Was contemplating Oscar! haha
both said he would be fit**
AT, as I said risky as both injury prospects but will pay off medium term!
NZ, will be fine short term too! haha. Well Walcott looked very lively when he came on and the Hammers are on fire so hoping it pays off. More worried about doing the transfers early and the CL to be honest.
Another disappointing week with 54 scored. Shows how bad I’m doing this year that it was enough to get green arrows. What do people make of the team?
Begovic/Mannone
Baines – Clyne – Taylor – Hutton – Baird
Sigs – Fab – Di Maria – Chadli – El Ahmadi
Costa – Aguero – Naismith
Been thinking of using WC for a couple of weeks but taken a couple of 4pt hits so don’t want to waste them points really. Mannone/Baird/El Ahmadi & Naismith I’m not happy with having in squad.
Shadow
No WC needed on that mate. Deal with your minor players one at a time. Naisy is ok and the last of your problems.
El Ahmadi to Boyd, Obertan or Wanyama.
Baird to Wisdom or Pocognoli.
Mannone to Foster or Krul.
Wouldn’t take hits for any of these mind you.
Good call GP, but Obertan could be out for a while with an injury on Saturday.
Alex
True that.
Maybe Wanyama isn’t ‘just’ the holding midfielder we all thought. His goal in Saturday was beautifully hit.
+1!!
Shadow, don’t worry about the hits you’ve taken, look forward. Do a couple of ‘dummy runs’ with your fantasy team as if you were going to use your WC, does the team look a lot better then now? If so and you are happy with it then go for it. If not then hold it for those juicy double weeks in February! If your unsure, post a few alternative teams here and see what we all think before you hit the confirm button! Good luck
Yeh I did a couple of them last week and wasn’t convinced they were worth using the WC for. I think with Baines, Clyne, Di Maria, Fab, Aguero & Costa I have a lot of the solid players who will bring in points consistently. Obviously one that could throw a spanner in the works is Sanchez but don’t want to lose Fab or Di Maria for him.
Thanks for the advice guys. Will obviously see how the mid week games go, if no more injuries I’ll probably take Baird out for Wisdom or maybe even Coloccini.
Personally i’d be looking at players in your starting 11 that arent earning you points.Naismith and siggy stand out.Not sure how much in the bank but maybe Siggy to downing would give you the cash to switch naismith to Sakho (if fit) or berahino (few tough upcoming fixtures but a nice one this week) I get the point about sorting your bench out as gp mentioned but id prefer to do that when i’m happy with my starting 11.
