Fantasy Football 247 at the Football Blog Awards
Fantasy Football 247 is delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted as a finalist for the Best FPL Football Blog award (FBA). The finals take place on November 13th at the National Football Museum in Manchester. This is an immense achievement for us, bearing in mind we only went live in November of 2013 and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the team at FF247 for all their hard work, given freely and in their own time, for making the site what it is today.

We would also like to thank all our members for being such a huge part of the site – without you we are nothing and the site is irrelevant. We have always aimed to make FF247 a community site, a fun site as well, of course, and a useful tool for FPL managers. It is your involvement, comments, banter and engagement that ultimately has pushed FF247 into the realms of being nominated for awards such as this.
So we thank you deeply and look forward to a bigger, better, funnier future together!
Finally, we would like to ask that you vote for us in the hope that little old FF247 may just upset some of the more established names that we are up against. Clearly our age will not make it easy for us to win against other sites that have been around for years, but you know us, we’ll give it a go. Every vote counts.
Voting is very straightforward – all you need to is click on the link below, either taking you to the FBA site or through the twitter button.
In case you’re thinking, “I’ve already voted”, then firstly thanks, it’s your votes that have been responsible for us being nominated. But from now, the votes have been reset to zero and we start again.
If you’re on twitter, then this is the most simple method.
Voting via the FBA site link involves about about two minutes more of your time! Just click this link (or the red ‘tweet your vote’ button above), enter your details and under “categories”, click the FPL drop down menu and you will see Fantasy Football 247 appear. Simply highlight us and click “Vote Now” – you will be sent an email which you will need to confirm your vote.
The FF247 team will be attending the event itself and we will be sure to post pics on here and via twitter of what will surely be a fantastic night out regardless of the results! Tickets are on general sale as well so if anyone fancies it please feel free to come but be sure to let us know so that so we can include you in our party!
Thanks again for your time, patience and support!
All at Fantasy Football 247.
Voted using three emails, can not think of a more worthy winner! Keep it up lads!
ADM gonna be top points scorer this GW 😛
have him as captain
Let’s hope so .
Evening guys,
Just cast the vote now so fingers crossed the winner is FF247
Also need some serious feedback & advice because like some I got my fingers burned this past weekend with aguero / pelle & tadic .. ohh yeah & baines ?
My team is as follows :
Forster, Hamer
Wisdom, Taylor, Bertrand, Shawcross, Wilson,
Siggy, Fabregas, ADM, Sterling, Boyd,
Costa, Falcao, Wellbeck
Bank : 1.6M
transfer : 2FT
I need to know if this makes sense or not & decision may have to be made tonight considering all the price increases since Saturday & potentially tonight ?
OUT – SHAWCROSS, FALCAO, WELBECK
IN – ROBERTSON, AGUERO, PELLE
OR
OUT – SHAWCROSS, STERLING, FALCAO
IN – COLEMAN, TADIC, AGUERO
Unfortunately for the 2nd option I am 0.2M short of Baines instead of Coleman ?
Would seriously appreciate any comments or advice or alternatives to my suggestions above as my head is fried here trying to figure everything out.
Thanks in advance guys. Mark
How about option 3 but just keep Falcao.
Option 2 I mean.
Can’t afford aguero without upgrading Falcao as not enough money to upgrade Wellbeck to Aguero ?
Ime saying keep Falcao, and get Baines and Tadic.
Ant,
You would prefer Falcao over Aguero over the season especially with the games upcoming for City ?
I have the funds to go straight with Shawcross > Baines but after the weekend Sterling is giving me the jitters & Aguero could go on a monster roll similar to last season ?
2 option For Me – With Everyone Having Baines – Coleman could be Great Differential over the coming weeks !!
Hi Jeet,
That’s what I thought too plus without having Pelle then Tadic will quite possibly be involved in the assists potentially supplying Pelle ?
So this would be worth a -4pts transfer hit you think ? …. Been a good boy & not taken a single hit YET
Yeah I’ve think it worth 4 PTS HIT – Aguero a must have for me & Tadic is not a bad players with 4 Assists & a Goal at the weekend & great fixtures coming up i’ve say go for it !
Ok thanks jeet much appreciated for your comments & think your swaying me to go for OPTION 2 as I fancied that option personally too.
A dilemma. I have Sakho as my “weak” forward, along with Aguero and Costa, and I have Downing as a “weak” fourth midfielder, but I have Baines/Clyne/Ivanovic plus support across the back. I am thinking of downgrading Ivanovic (Vlaar/Hutton) to bring in Tadic or Pelle. Would you pick Tadic or Pelle (I can’t scrape up the points to get both). Or has the bus pulled out?
Thanks.
Hi Ki,
With the way Sakho has been scoring consistently then I’d be keeping him with Aguero & Costa and probably go with Tadic in your position as Sakho picks himself & the hammers winning & scoring so basically you have answered yourself on that mate.
MUFC: de Gea; Rafael, Jones, Rojo, Shaw; Blind, Herrera; Januzaj, Mata, Di María, van Persie.
Myhill, Wisdom, Lescott, Dawson, Pocognoli, Gardner, Brunt, Morrison, Dorrans, Sessegnon, Berahino.
Cheers fella – these team sheets you do are quality! Nice one
Ta TJ
Falcao not starting
