Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 10
Welcome to the Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 10 article. GW9 was one of the dullest game-weeks in history – it was a game-week dominated in the main by clean sheets for a change and we were fortunate enough to gain a clean sweep of them, courtesy of Cech, Walker, Holebas and Pieters. The only other contributions to our score were assists for Firmino and Lukaku and yet we scored 48pts, 6pts above the average of 42 and saw us climb to a ranking of 57,577. Exciting stuff. Another captain failure for Alexis was slightly compensated by Kun scoring just a solitary point on Sunday, so things could have been worse. All in all, we probably dodged a bullet given our defensive performance.
Transfer: Rasford to Deeney
We contemplated a whole raft of of complicated conundrums. This insignificant player to that insignificant one, meaning a slightly more but still insignificant one to maybe a slightly less insignificant one. Etc, etc, you know the feeling… In the end we just went route one and obvious with the sole focus on the week ahead. ‘Who plays Hull, let’s buy their most likely goalscorer’. Sometimes it can be as simple as that….
THE NEW TEAM IN FULL FOR Gameweek 10!
Our captain is Troy Deeney and our vice captain is Alexis Sanchez.
A slight surprise as captain given that we didn’t even own him previously but the ‘let’s chase Hull around’ theme caught on pretty quick! Given the last few weeks worth of captain failures on the mainstream players then we feel it is worth taking the slight risk this time, if playing Hull can even be considered as such.
If anyone is interested in following the site teams progress then you can do so here and we wish you all the best of luck this week with your own teams.

Fixture Tracker – the next 6 games
I have both Walcott, who I’m hoping to keep even though he may not play today, and Brady, who I need to transfer out.
Given Liverpool’s fixtures, is doubling up on Firmino (already have) / Lallana a bad move?
The other options that take my fancy are Chadli or Pedro (I have £7.1m).
Just noticed my nickname is set as “flojan” when amending my team link, that must have been changed in 2013/14 and I didn’t notice!? Class.
I’d look to pool this GW. Redmond next GW looks promising, as does Chadli after the int’l break, GW 12 and onwards…Mata may be worth considering this GW (if the funds are available), as well as Arni as stoke play Swansea… best wishes.
I was thinking of doubling up on Liverpool so could be a good option Flingy.
Hey flingy
Doubling up on Liverpool is what all the cool kids are doing. I have one. 😉
I’d say Lallana in is a good move. You could bring him in and with he and Firmino, forget about them for a number of weeks as the fixtures are with them.
Is lallana going to start though?
Surely
I’ll be very surprised if he doesn’t start.
Morning all is Wally defo out this GW ?
Silvers, he’s not defo out but given what Wenger said I doubt he’ll start.
Cookie, any last minute thoughts on my wildcard team? I have 3.3 ITB to get Aguero next week. My risks are triple Chelsea, Watford and Stoke and double Liverpool mid. For this week the team looks solid, worried for the long term.
Looks good Djemba. There is enough money there to downgrade people if need be for the long term.
thanks matt!
Morning folks. Here is my team and options.
A. Bench Theo, save FT.
B. Barry > Matic
C. Walcott > Mané
What do you all think?
Walcott to Mane.
Cheers Matt, took the punt on Mané
Not logged in at all this week, just made 2 transfers now. Good to go?
Couldn’t decide between Sanchez and Firmino for cappo but early game put me off for Sanchez!
Thanks.
All good
Meh, felt like Lallana was a bit of a risk, so took a 4pt hit on Stones & Wally for Firm & Francis. Might back fire, but if your gonna have 2 Pool players, may as well have the best 2…
I’m down with the hits this GW, team looks solid and another 3-5-2, we’re starting to see a lot more of that formation lately with the Pool and Arse mids being so successful.
Cheers Andy. Yeah another 3-5-2 for me, mids looking strong across the board so far this season, and not many CS’s for the def’s
Def. not worth the 4 point hit in my opinion. But good luck. :p
lol, cheers Raz!
I would not take a 4 point hit for a defender, that’s why, mate. For a mid and another attacking option, maybe. Or if it was Bellerin you were getting. Anyway, could still work out.
