Welcome to the Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 10 article. GW9 was one of the dullest game-weeks in history – it was a game-week dominated in the main by clean sheets for a change and we were fortunate enough to gain a clean sweep of them, courtesy of Cech, Walker, Holebas and Pieters. The only other contributions to our score were assists for Firmino and Lukaku and yet we scored 48pts, 6pts above the average of 42 and saw us climb to a ranking of 57,577. Exciting stuff. Another captain failure for Alexis was slightly compensated by Kun scoring just a solitary point on Sunday, so things could have been worse. All in all, we probably dodged a bullet given our defensive performance.

Transfer: Rasford to Deeney
We contemplated a whole raft of of complicated conundrums. This insignificant player to that insignificant one, meaning a slightly more but still insignificant one to maybe a slightly less insignificant one. Etc, etc, you know the feeling… In the end we just went route one and obvious with the sole focus on the week ahead. ‘Who plays Hull, let’s buy their most likely goalscorer’. Sometimes it can be as simple as that….

THE NEW TEAM IN FULL FOR Gameweek 10!

Our captain is Troy Deeney and our vice captain is Alexis Sanchez.
A slight surprise as captain given that we didn’t even own him previously but the ‘let’s chase Hull around’ theme caught on pretty quick! Given the last few weeks worth of captain failures on the mainstream players then we feel it is worth taking the slight risk this time, if playing Hull can even be considered as such.

    • Am I the only one here taking a punt on Redmond? sad

      • He’s on the watch list but the next four are tough on paper for the Saints, I’d like to see how he does through them before taking the plunge.

        • 3 out of the 4 are homegames though, Andy. And also, next week Hull. Was a risk but it’s not like the defense of Chelski, Pool, Everton can’t be penetrated, especially at home, they like to score at Soton. After those 4 though, perfect games coming up. But yeah, I’ll watch the next 2 games. Him or Lallana can be upgraded.

    • looks good to me mate.

      • Afraid Giroud will be starting… Arsenal twitter usually gives things like these away … sad

        • No Giroud on the bench

    • I really want to cap Ibra, but I feel that at this point, even if I don’t cap him, he’s a differential. LOL! Especially in the top 10k.

      Anyway, Sanchez safer option.

  1. Quick ? Pieters or Daniels

  2. Good to go? smile

  3. No Walcott today, not even made the bench.

  4. Lineup – Arsenal starting line-up: Petr Cech, Héctor Bellerín, Kieran Gibbs, Francis Coquelin, Shkodran Mustafi, Laurent Koscielny, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mohamed Elneny, Alexis Sánchez, Mesut Özil, Alex Iwobi.
Substitutes: Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Rob Holding, Gabriel, Aaron Ramsey, Olivier Giroud, David Ospina, Carl Jenkinson

Lineup – Sunderland starting line-up: Jordan Pickford, Billy Jones, Patrick van Aanholt, Jack Rodwell, Lamine Koné, John O’Shea, Duncan Watmore, Steven Pienaar, Jermain Defoe, Didier Ndong, Wahbi Khazri.
Substitutes: Donald Love, Victor Anichebe, Papy Djilobodji, Mika, Javier Manquillo, Lynden Gooch, Adnan Januzaj

    • Why the f@ck is Arsenal twitter so slow with the line-ups? Where do people get the lineups so fast? I figured the official Twitter accounts would always be the fastest, this is not the case.

    • Good to see Ramsey and Giroud back. I worry about Gibbs though I think he’s a liability

      • Well, I wouldn’t mind Arsenal conceding, though I do have Sanchez, will cost him 2 points as a cappo.

        • Personally I think Jenkinson is better, but he just returned. Didn’t he play for Sunderland last season? Wait, WHU!

    • Haven’t been on my PC much recently due to illness, I expected you’d takeover my old role. 😛 Nice job.

      • Sorry to hear that mate. Are you going to get well soon?

        • Only if my FPL luck gets better too! 😉

Yeah mostly just a common cold, could be worse mate

        • A common cold? Stop being a pussy then. :p

        • Haha, also been pretty busy but yeah, that mixed with a cold has left me pretty dead 😛

        • That or you’re watching too many zombie movies and zeries. The walking dead. Even those zombies are more constructive and productive. 😉 :p

Just pulling your leg mate. Happy to see you around again. laugh

  5. Current FPL form: only just inside the top 500k, (460), transferred in Walcott for Alexis, also captained him. This is not a good year for me! I haven’t studied the best options like I used to, but I still take 15 minutes to look it over and like to think I make calculated changes. Oh well…

At least my vice is Aguero.
