Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 16

Welcome to the Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 16 article. Well, that didn’t go as planned. We had 8 guys earn 5 points or less this gameweek, that is usually not a recipe for success. However not everything was gloom and despair as among all the crappiness there was some FPL heroes that came to at least save us from total disaster. With the likes of Alexis, Kane, Firmino, Pedro, Walker and Cech one would not expect to be turning to a Swan and Hornet defender for the points. Amat and Holebas did what they could for us and rescued our dignity. Well them and The Prince of Darkness Diego Costa. Because with a bunch of misses everywhere on the team we did manage to captain our highest scorer. So thank you Prince Diego and our two defenders who we will call Am-A-Ho. What you say? Are you? Didn’t know, but we won’t judge. Anyway our score of 47 put us in the 2 million average in terms of GW score and even though the FF247 Community team would be ecstatic if they consistently scored that, we need to do better. We dropped to 48k in the overall for a loss of 14K. But nothing better than a quick turnaround after a tough week, so with that let us get onto our transfers for this new gameweek.

Transfer(s) – Sold Ilkay Gündogan and bought Gylfi Sigurdsson

Transfer Reasoning…
No real mystery here in the sale or the buy really. Gundogan has been firing blanks ever since we brought him in on top of the rotation risk he has come under in the last couple of weeks. Siggy has scored 5 or more points in five of his last six and his next five fixtures look like an opportunity to keep on keeping on. As many know December offers a lot of opportunities for managers to use all their cuss words. Because as we all know some rotation will kick in. We think/hope Siggy will play straight through, if for no other reason that Swansea are in a battle for their Premier life and he is their best/only decent player. So in Siggy we trust…

THE NEW TEAM IN FULL FOR Gameweek 16

Our Captain is… Harry Kane
It was mostly unanimous on this one, but Prince Diego did get a vote. Both have great fixtures so either could have been justified. Think in the end the venue tilted the scales a bit in favour of Kane. Plus a quick glance at the season shows us that Hull has taken in the most goals including an incredible 9 goals allowed between the Bournemouth and Sunderland games. So if those two teams can embarrass you, we are hoping Spurs can take out their frustrations on them also. Perhaps another beat down is in the cards, similar to when they hammered Swansea after the CFC loss. Hull you are up and Kane is ready to bring in a double digit haul.

    1 FT … save it?

    • Thats some midfield !! Not sure im convinced by de bruynes price tag but looks good to go unless you have some cash in the bank to switch Lovren to a Chelsea defender ?

      • Leave Lovren alone!!

        @Shrizzine, if you have some spare cash I use it to buy me a CFC defender to take the place of Lovren.

      • Was thinking the same about KDB too, Brooky! Lovren should go as well, and yes, Chelsea D for sure.

        • Give KdB one more chance. If you are going to sell him at the very least don’t sell him with Lovren. He deserves more respect than that.

        • See how Kdb goes tonight,a downgrade to Siggy or Payet would give you some cash to upgrade Lolvren.

  2. Which do you prefer:
    Williams to Alonso/ Walker
    Or Redmond to Zaha/Siggy?
    Taking in siggy would mean I couldn’t do the other transfer for next game week due to funds but I think Siggy is a better option have Zaha. Any ideas?

    • Williams to Alonso then Redmond to Siggy.

      • 1.0 mil short of this sadly sad If you had to pick between the two which one?

        • Firminho to Siggy then Williams to Alonso.Then maybe Redmond to Phillips.

    • I’d bring in the Chelsea defender between the two, Redmond looks likely to fall in price but i’d stick with him as he’s been very unlucky to not bring in a return over the last two weeks, with Austin going down there could be a chance that he gets a run out as center forward with the Saints as well.

  4. would you do gundogan to eriksen for a hit?
    I don’t have any spurs cover and have already brought in llorente so thought siggy would be overkill.

    • Yeah I probably would. Eriksen looks very tempting over the next several weeks. Having said that, I just bought Payet over him….so don’t pay any attention to me.

  5. Ok while we are at it what would you do with this team ? plan was to downgrade Walcott so i could get a Chelsea defender in but im not sure now.
    1 Ft 0.1m in the bank.
    Cheers to the 2 lads that offered advice the other day,seeing if there any other advice or opinions out there.Actually contemplating switching to 3-5-2 aswell !!

    • Not entirely sure what I’d do there, who are you thinking about getting in?

      • Was thinking Wally to Phillips (till he scored at the weekend) to free up some cash ? In 3 minds really.Think ill probably save and reassess at the weekend,what you reckon ??

    • Yeah will see how Iheanacho does this week but considering swapping to 3-5-2. Now Austin is injured there’s not a lot of decent options for a 3rd striker

      • Yeah a lot depends on Nacho, whether he starts or not etc Could downgrade him to a cheapie,do Fletcher to Phillips then have cash to either bring a chelsea defender in or swap Walcott to Payet maybe.

    • I’d maybe just bank that saved FT and look into jumping down to the 3-5-2 with the two saved transfers, it really all depends on Itchy as if he takes off against Watford I’d be happy with that team but I honestly haven’t got a clue what Pep will do.

      That fifth midfield spot looks likely to be just as problematic as that third striker spot though.

      • Depends on funds. Lots of options between 7 and 8 in midfield.. Not a lot under that though
