Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 31
Cutting straight to the chase this week, as time is of the essence, we scored 50 points in GW30 which was 10 above the average and it saw us register yet another green arrow, which is now 10 of those in the last 13 weeks. It’s ‘slowly, slowly catchy monkey’ though it seems as we’ve only actually risen by 30,000 places in all that time! This week we jumped up 5k to 34,416 overall. We aren’t complaining of course, it all just feels a bit laborious! A bit like our team itself this week actually as there was nothing to get excited about individually, it was more of a collective effort with just the odd goal or assist, here or there. Valencia and Nyom shared a 0-0 which suited our clean sheet bank, Captain Hazard grabbed an assist, Mane and Carroll a goal apiece. And that was pretty much it. This week’s site team meeting was hasty and a bit heated as a result! One naughty schoolboy was even slapped on the wrist and sent away to check his homework as a result of insubordination and cheek. After that the adults continued and here’s what we decided on…
Our transfer this week is: Selling Sadio Mane and buying Alexis Sanchez
Ideally we didn’t want to be doing this ahead of ‘Bournemouth at home’, but such is FPL sometimes, best laid plans and all that… Sadio was unfortunately crocked in the derby but fortunately we had a healthy bank of £3.2mln which was probably always planned and destined to fund an Alexis move at some point in the next few weeks given his imminent DGW’s. We’ve simply brought that decision forward a bit.
West Ham are this weeks opponents and they haven’t won in their last 6, losing the last 4 straight. Away from home in their last 2 they’ve conceded 3 at Bournemouth and 2 at Hull. If Alexis is even slightly on form here he should be able to repay our faith in him.
The Team in full this week…
Our captain is: Alexis Sanchez
The new man has the armband for what we hope will be his 9th double-digit score of the season. The Chilean returned 23pts vs the Hammers in the reverse fixture in GW14 with a hatty and an assist. Same again please pal.

Cookie if you care I have gone with Origi transfer Not captaining him though
Snookie,
I do care and I am leaning towards joining you!
Afternoon all
So I’m kinda happy with my team….
Big decision is who to go with to captain… alli v Sanchez
Is the general consensus Sanchez?
The general consensus seems to be Alexis vs Vardy so you looking good with Alexis.
RMT please:
Lloris (Grant)
Alonso – Baines- Valencia (Nyom – Chambers)
Coutinho – Siggy – Sterling – Eriksen – Sanchez(C)
Lukaku – Llorente (Diomande)
Am thinking of doing Llorente to Benteke for a -4 especially since Valencia may not be playing and I will only have Nyom to cover for him and Llorente. Already took Mane out for Eriksen earlier. Got 1,3 ITB.
Read up there that Origi could be decent. But Benteke has a DGW (but tough fixtures) and perhaps Big Sam is working his magic now? What do you think?
KFC, I looked at Benteke too and he may turn out great. However, he’s not been in brilliant form and as you say the fixtures are not brilliant. I’d rather Zaha. So, Origi for me
I’d rather Zaha as well. But I got Coutinho. Hence a double LGC vs a bottom team? That’s suicide!!! 😉 Bournemouth are gonna run all over them hehe! You are not making my decision easier Cookie! I might freaking coin flip this and make a best out of 10…sensing Origi might still only be a fringe player…or not…or yes..or not…..aaaaarg!!!
Hey guys do you all know if there is any possibility of Sanchez being rested tomorrow? I hear some people in my mini league are saying this but I don’t believe them. I know Sanchez hates being rested and he wants to play every minute of every game. No need to panic, I’m only asking.
Haven’t heard anything about that Eagles.
Hey guys. What do I do with this frigging mess? Tempted to get Ibra in as I reckon United will do well against an even more depleted Everton side.
I’d prob suggest Mane > Coutinho and call it a day.
Ben Dinnery’s reporting Ospina is a major doubt after getting a knock. They’ll be down to their 3rd string keeper now, wish I had Andy Carroll!
Martinez!! Get in there…
Beautiful – c’mon the Donkey!
Eeyore time
good for Lanzini then..
Good thought Const, I’ve currently got him 2nd on bench behind King. Should I start him over Alonso, Nyom or Baines?
