We continue our climb up the rankings with another solid performance despite (like many) leaving Tsimikas and his 15pts first on our bench. With new signing Saliba picking up 9pts on his debut for us we would have loved those 15pts instead of the 1 a-piece we got from the Newcastle duo Trippier and Schar.
Thankfully everything else went swimmingly, 32pts for captain Salah, 8pts from Bowen, and 6pts from Palmer making up for the 2pts we got from both Gordon and Mbeumo. Upfront it was business as usual with 16pts from Haaland and 6pts from Watkins.
We finished the game week with 84pts, taking us up to 824 points overall, which was enough to seal yet another green arrow moving us from 2130 up to the heady heights of 1,326th. We’re enjoying this season!
We’re gluttons for punishment and we just had to see where we could have been had we started with Tsimikas, a quick check reveals we would have moved up to 229th. Now that would have been quite something!

Our GW13 Transfer(s)
If you haven’t realised by now, when we can, we favour rolling a transfer. We could have made a move on Bowen but there seems no concrete evidence he’ll miss GW13 so we’re happy to let our bench fill in should we need it. This frugal approach has served us well and with that in mind, it was a unanimous vote in favour of rolling our single transfer.
We still have our first wildcard tucked away in our back pocket, we have no idea as yet when we will play that, for now, things seem to be progressing nicely and as ever we’re happy to just go with the flow.
There doesn’t seem to be a standout captain this week, so we’re happy to go with the masses and hand it back to Haaland who we expect to start and will likely be the highest captained, that’s good enough for us! Salah take the VC just in case the robot malfunctions!

Didnt really think my xfers through left me with a who to play issue, so who would you’s play/bench here. Currently tempted benching Alverez for Palmer

Looks like you have a decent 343 and if Bowen doesn’t play you get Udogie in, Tsimi too if no Cash. I think I’d swap Tsimi before Cash, but you could also do Turner to a rotation option with Areola or something else planning wise (and roll the other)

I don’t like the sounds of those moves to be honest. Could you downgrade Konsa to save a bit of cash and roll a FT?

I was really tempted to put the armband on Son as i’m not a fan of early KO captains but i’ve gone with the crowd with Haaland in what i’m not expecting to be a particular high scoring GW
