DON’T MENTION THE WAR BENCH

Welcome to FF247 Site Team Gameweek 21

Regular readers will know that we played our Wildcard last week and those fat cats at FPL towers and their rules – just let us ‘double-chip’ and bench boost in the same week! Purlease?

We’re having a good season no doubt – even our bench is hoiking up the points (THIRTY FREAKING TWO!) – but we’re too good, for our own good, clearly.

CURSE THESE METAL HANDS.

On to the team itself and pleasingly, scored 82 points and a week which shows us being 23 points above the average of 59, also saw us take a red arrow and drop 1708 places to 6,797 overall.

Despite Mo Salah missing the penalty and GP smugly smiling (he wanted to sell him), he eventually returned a brilliant 32 points as a captain and it is a good job some of the FF247 committee know what they are doing!

We thank Alphonse Areola (11) – our ONLY points in defence oddly, Bukayo Saka (7), Phil Foden (12) and Julian Alvarez (7) of The City and Ollie Watkins (8) for pulling their weight.

Our Gameweek 20 Result

We have 0.8mln in the bank and 1 free transfer to use ahead of Gameweek 21. Let’s go see what was decided.

Our Gameweek 21 Transfer(s)

We sell Salah as planned and the vote was really split on this one.

Richarlison
Pascal Gross
Diogo Jota
Luis Diaz

All of the above were proposed and by just one vote which covered three of the above players, Diogo Jota was the choice. So not at all unanimous however, we all agree that it is probably the most likely to be explosive for the week ahead of us as the Portuguese plays Bournemouth.

In theory, his expected minutes must go up with Salah being away and Nunez still being there (ho ho!)

To confirm then we have SOLD MOHAMED SALAH and BOUGHT DIOGO JOTA

Captain – COLE PALMER

Again, a very mixed bag of responses with no clear winner and with another split vote. Winning by one, is Cole Palmer. Probably for the reasons of explosiveness mentioned above when discussing Jota – but we obviously fancy another 18-pointer now that we know he has it in him!

From benched to captain – What A Rush!

Saka is vice as he was second with 2 votes.

PREDICTED LINE-UPS

Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

Same here, I wants Jota but it doesn’t leave me enough in the bank for Haaland if he is back next week. So I think it might be richarlison or gross just don’t know which one dash

Help. Looks like I’ll field 10 at most and that’s if Lascelles and Cash play.

No FT but tons of cash.
    1. Bowen > Richarlison
    2. Bowen > Jota
    3. Cash > Estu
    4. Lascelles > Gusto

Any last minute changes to make to my WC team? I’m okay with TAA and Haaland on the bench as I’ll surely want them next GW. Unsure if I should have Richarlison or Gross, any other changes you see?

I might do the wrong thing here. But i’ve decided to keep son and Salah and hope that they will be back soon. So, is this line up good enough? Any move will be for a hit…

I would take a hit to replace at least one of them, that’s a lot of money to leave on the bench and you’d miss a lot of potential points from the midfield options out there like Jota, Gross, Foden, KDB, etc.
Getting any of them for a hit would pay off if they get anything if you play them over Lascelles

When Salah/Son come back you can just reverse the transfer, it will probably be at least 3 GWs

    Currently playing 10

To get 11, need to do -4
Foden will mean I can’t afford Haaland next week. With Gross I can.

    A. Foden in for -4 and -4 again for Haaland next week.
    B. Gross in for -4
    C. Do nothing, play 10
