The rollercoaster ride continues

Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW33

Our yo-yo season continues as another bad week sees us with our second red arrow on the bounce. 50 points was sadly 6 below the average and we slipped from 1337 to 3145. At such a high overall rank these frequent highs and lows seem to come with the territory, but rather than bring us down, the red arrows only serve to make the green arrows more pleasing.

With Foden failing to make it off the City bench, we were reliant on Zabarnyi off our bench, sadly his 1-point return was not the only one in our back line with both Virgil and Konsa matching the Cherries centre half. Petrovic, Muniz and Solanke didn’t do much better with 2-a-piece. Thankfully our midfield trio all did relatively well, though of the 3 we chose to captain the lowest scoring which is mildly annoying but in truth handing Saka the armband with his recent injury concerns was never a consideration.

So there you have it, a week to forget as we inch closer to the Wildcard. Our bench is lit up like a Christmas tree with Foden Joining Areola, Botman and Hee Chan on the injury list. Will we do anything about it? Well, lets go see what we decided to do!

Our Gameweek 32 Result

We have £1.8m in the bank and 2 free transfer to use ahead of GW33. Let’s go see what was decided….

Our GW33 Transfer(s)

With the potential injury to Foden we did consider moving him on, Diaz and Havertz were mooted but with Pep giving no clarity (surprise, surprise) we’ve decided to keep him for now. So instead we finally turn our attention to the injured Botman. With a budget of £6.3 and an eye on double GW34 we decided to lock in our third Arsenal spot. Gabriel was voted in unanimously and we roll our second FT, giving us flexibility come next week’s double.

Captaincy was next on the agenda with salah and haaalnd the obvious candidates. I went back and forward on this one personally but when I finally decided to give my vote to Haaland it took the vote to 4 votes which was enough to secure him the win. Salah takes the vice just incase!

To confirm then we have SOLD Botman and BOUGHT Gabriel

Captain – Haaland

PREDICTED LINE-UPS

Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

Ok, how do I play this.
I know Son and Udogie dont play GW34.
My intention was to ditch Son, and get in Diaz, and maybe use the funds to upgrade Bradley to TAA, and swap Toney to Darwin for DGW34. Any funds I had would do Muniz to Solanke (as Bournemouth have a double).
I still have FH, BB, TC and WC (WC – gw36, BB – gw37. TC – not sure yet. FH – not sure).
Thiniking FH34 as the leader in my ML has 3xPool, 2xBournemouth and 2xWolves
    Any advice greatly appreciated

Hi hammers, old chum. I’d say TC this week on Salah or Haaland, FH in 34 (you can keep the Spurs boys for GW35 then).

For transfers this week: Douglas Luiz and Bowen -> Havertz and Garnacho (who I think you’ll be able to afford, just!)

Hey Loud, all good here mate. Hope you are too.
Not 100% convinced in using TC on either. Salah not really convincing me at the moment, and Haaland may not play full 90, even if against Luton. They have to turn it around and win against Real next week so he may get rested.
As for the other transfers, do I play both, and bench one?

      Not bad here, thanks!

I see your points about Salah and Haaland. Both with a point to prove, but moreso Salah (and Liverpool) after a poor home game against Atalanta last night. GW33 I think is probably the ‘easiest’ game that both Liverpool and City will have in the run-in so I imagine both will want to capitalise on their respective opponents’ frailties.

      With the GWs left:
      33
      34 FH
      35
      36 WC
      37 BB
      38

It only leaves you this week 33, 35 and 38 to use your TC.

35 could be Son (ARS / che) or Palmer (avl / CHE).

38 could be Saka (EVE), Salah (WOL), Haaland (WHU) or Son (shu). All of those teams will likely be fighting for something as the title could go down to the last day (I hope!). If it’s wrapped up before the last day then expect weird line-ups in the final game!

This week I’d play Havertz and Garnacho in a 3-5-2 (Muniz first on the bench) smile .

Yeah that was what I am now going to do with my chips, although I wasnt going to use my FH next week till i realised my ML leader has alot more dgw players than me, so think he would extend his lead if I didnt use the chip.
As for WC, definitely gw36, and BB gw37.
Undecided on TC, but will not waste it.
Will do the moves you suggested and hope for the best.
Thanks for your help mate and good luck good

Apologies that DGW37 hasn’t been added to the Fixture Tracker yet – that’s my job and I’ll get to it tomorrow.

No chips left. Which forward to get for Muniz?
    A. Darwin
    B. Solanke
    C. Alvarez for this week then switch to one of above
    D. A punt on McBurnie

Other 2 forwards are Haaland and Isak. Toney is out reach.
