Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 14
After three successive green arrows, and things starting to look rosy again, we have now somehow recorded another three successive reds! We plunged over 70,000 places this week. Let that sink in for a second. 70,000 places… This time last season 700 would have felt like a dagger. 7000 would have been a mortal blow and panic stations. It’s time to offer up the dreaded ‘vote of confidence’ –
“The board would like to announce that it has every confidence in its managers ability to arrest the recent slump and turn things around and avoid relegation this season. Funds are tight but we are sure with a bit of wheeling and dealing that the right players can be acquired to come in and give the club the boost it requires”.
The writing is on the wall then…
GW13 in summary
Gulp! GW13 can be summed up best by saying that nine of our team combined for a total that was less than our what our captain achieved. And he only got 24. The guilty nine managed 22. Let that sink in. Lots of sinking this week! Other than captain Lukaku pulling us out of the proverbial with a still underwhelming 24, and Mahrez pitching in with 9, we’d have been on the dole by now. Vardy hepled with 7 but he was the only other player that scored more than 3 points.
Transfer(s) for GW14 – Pelle OUT – Aguero IN, Myhill OUT – Hennessey IN
An unprecedented -4 HIT! Yes, you heard us right. A HIT! Maybe being conservative and seeing the sensible approach fail time after time got the better of us or maybe the recently issued vote of confidence shook us into action. Either way we have taken the plunge and gone straight to Kun. How we got there however would be a story worthy of a book. So in short…
We started with a straight forward Kun or Kane question. Kun won, just. That sparked the shenanigans though. It would involve a hit. So someone suggested Moreno in for Naughton. Seemed sensible given Liverpool’s form and fixtures and was roundly applauded and accepted. Job done. Or so we thought. That was until some bright spark actually checked it out and said it wasn’t actually a viable transfer given our budget. A day after it was all decided! The vote of confidence looked more accurate once again. What a farce! Back to the drawing board then and Kun was still the preferred option for a hit but this time with either KdB to Ozil or Myhill to Hennessey. Ozil got good support but ultimately the keeper move won the day. The fact that WBA have a tough schedule ahead and that Palace have a great chance of repaying the hit with a home game against Newcastle this week swung it. It’s always difficult to justify any hit that involves a keeper or defender but hopefully Kun keeps up his end of the deal. Our jobs depend on it, no pressure Kun!

Team Selection
We pretty much have one sub who could play but that is Morgan. Morgan of Leicester! And so he sits this one out which is actually a damning statement as at least 2/3rd’s of the rest of our defence hold little or no hope this week! The front 7 picks itself. And our hope and maybe job rests with them…

Captain – Alexis Sanchez
This was a close call. Aguero and Lukaku were considered but despite being flagged with a potential hamstring strain the Chilean was still favoured to not only make the game but take the spoils. This call could make or break the committee. Literally.
Our vice-captain is Romelu Lukaku
Should Sanchez not make it then it probably won’t matter as there will be a massive management vacancy come Monday!

1) Kun back in – is it worth it and who to sacrifice? Need lots of funds to be freed up….
2) If not, I presume it’s Pelle –> Kane, but then any further changes to midfield or defence (don’t mind a 4 or even an 8 point hit if required)

I like Pelle to Kane but it depends how you personally feel about Aguero. Can you do without him? If so then Kane move is fine.
If you want Aguero then KDB would need to be downgraded.
Who would you downgrade KdB to? Barkley? Would you downgrade KdB ahead of Sanchez?
Preferably KDB yeah because that would leave you one Arsenal and one Cit (Sanchez and Aguero).
Barley is fine yeah. Should do very well.
Morning. It’s one of those unusual, although not all-that rare, times where Aguero’s back (and playing at home) but probably isn’t being captained by the majority…
…going with Lukaku sort of makes you feel as if a big opportunity is being missed!

Captaining Aguero is a risk, will only play 60 odd minutes, not fully fit. I’m going for Lukaku or Sanchez
Problem is after selling Pelle I need £3.4 to get Aguero…

I’d never ‘forget Aguero’ but selling KDB, Lukaku or Sanchez would be hard to swallow, so in your position I’d be very tempted. Your call…

Want to offer last minute captain advice.
Lukaku to play safe.
Sanchez for high risk and high reward.
Ozil for flair.
Vardy for passion, thrill and to be a part of history.
Aguero to justify his price tag.
Ighalo/Barkley/Coutinho/Anyone else to prove to “no one” that you are a risk taker and enjoy occasional fuck ups. (These are the same people who captained Bolasie last GW)

Why you want advise on players you don’t have B? I’m riddled. Lukaku is playing it safe and it worked out the past few weeks, same for Ozil. I like Sanchez but it’s so hard with Wankers telling all these lies about him.
My cap is currently on Sanchez, even though he’s yellow flagged. ZOMG, scary. :p
Scored 2 and assisted 1 in midweek. He’s on fire.

Westwood has been my superhero without cape this entire season. He has never tempted me to bench Mahrez/Vardy. He is my white knight.
I personally think Spurs will edge it 1-0 or 2-1 and it will be tight. Moaninhio will tighten up away and will want to avoid losing.
Raz, thats the reason for playing willian too. Might even show a free kick inside the net. Even I’m getting rid of bolasie after this week.
So many people have like 8 good or decent attackers, hate it. Glad I have 1 goalie (Butland) and 7 good attackers.
Even im of the samw opinion Raz.had shittyama for 8 weeks and then drinkwater for 4. Got bolasie for just 2 GWs. One of which is over. Back to square one post this week.
I wonder why this season so many players go for the 8 attackers. Is it because of the 1 week all out attack punt? It’s a weird and sort of useless chip which can mess your team up. Think many also put too much money in 8 attackers after Kun again injured himself. This is the main reason why i went with Costa. I have to stick with Costa just for a little bit and after this GW he has 3 superb games. I could also do KdB to Hazard and Costa to Kun though. Still not sure.

Think I would stick with Butland as well.
GP, now thats totally opposite to what initt suggested yesterday. Confused now.bolasie is a one week punt for me.next week he’s out. Wanted a chelsea cover too, thus william was recruited. Raz and yourself have changed that decision now.

From the footages of the past few weeks it seems like Vardy is impossible to cover, the form he’s in. Magical. On that note, Leicester haven’t played a defence like the United one, yet.
